To be frank, when you saw the dragon descend from the ceiling of the Seventh Sanctum, you hardly blinked. A dragon was nothing compared to the Ancient Being you’d fought not too long ago. This was just another enemy, another obstacle in the way of you obtaining the Windforce.
You can only roll your eyes when Telamon immediately gets flung into the distance by a swipe of the tail from the dragon. Cassie looks concerned, but you don’t even look. You wouldn’t be surprised if Shedletsky shows up in that wheelchair again the next time you see him. Useless as always.
You ready your weapons, but something about Cassie’s demeanor stops you from attacking. For the first time, there is a resolve in her eyes; a steely one unlike the nervous determination when she’d left you earlier on at Azuri’s tower.
You lower your weapon as Cassie steps forward, WIndforce gripped tight in her hands. She doesn’t question it, eyes locked on the great behemoth in front of her. You can tell the only thought in her mind is to kill it.
As the dragon roars, you take a step back, an idea forming in your mind.
Of course, you’re not going to hurt Cassie. That would be heartless. But if she died in the battle against the dragon... the Windforce would be yours for the taking.
You watch as Cassie charges the dragon. Like before, her movements are amateurish and uncoordinated. But the power of the Windforce compensates for her lack of skill, and the dragon roars as she unleashes a slash that knocks it back.
The dragon responds with several fireballs that she narrowly dodges, following up with a tornado that nearly blasts you away. It doesn’t have an effect on Cassie, who uses the Windforce to counteract the effects. She then lunges again, and this time she manages to slice through the dragon’s wing. It falls with a heavy thud, the Korbloxian riding it nearly falling off.
From there, it’s a brutal slugfest. Cassie slices and dices away, the dragon snaps its jaw and spits frost at her. You watch carefully from the sidelines, eyes trained on the Windforce, waiting to capitalise on any opportunity that may pass.
Unfortunately, no such opportunity arises. Though, you’re impressed that Cassie was able to defeat the dragon on her own. It was clearly taxing for her, however, because she instantly collapses to the ground when the deed is done.
You walk up to the Korbloxian, pulling out your sword. He spouts some generic villain nonsense, and you interrupt him by kicking him down and stabbing him right in the back.
As you gaze at Cassie’s unconscious form and the Windforce next to her, you wonder what would happen if you simply nab it right now. You’re confident no one would be strong enough to take it back, but you don’t really want an entire army after you at all times. It doesn’t matter in the end anyways, because one of the emerald knights arrives and spots you. You hardly listen to whatever they’re saying, your mind solely focused on how you’re going to obtain the Windforce now.
Maybe you should’ve helped Cassie out. By defeating the dragon on her own, her confidence probably skyrocketed. Oh well, you’d figure something out.
As it turns out, you didn’t even need to do anything.
When Cassie recovers, she and the council reconvene in the castle. You can’t be bothered to pay attention to what they’re saying, so you’re quite surprised when Cassie calls you out specifically.
You’re even more surprised when she simply offers up the Windforce for free, citing her intentions on ruling with her own strength as the reason why. You don’t complain. At least now you wouldn’t need to kill anyone like you did for the Firebrand.
You exit the castle with five of the seven swords you need, and you can’t help but grin. Home was finally in reach. You couldn’t wait until you left this place and returned to the present, where you truly belonged. Old Roblox was nice, but you’ve had nothing but annoyance and pain inflicted on you since coming here. You wanted- no, you needed to get home.
You would do anything for it.
