“Hey, Olson! You livin’ here or what?”
Demons have cursed him. It’s the only explanation for why, every afternoon, he’s forced to suffer Barkovitch’s presence.
“Whaddya want, asshole? I’m guessin’ not books, since you never check out any.” That was the most irritating part. Barkovitch wasn’t even trying to hide that he only came to the library to annoy Hank.
Barkovitch scowls, “I would if I could. You say that like I don’t fuckin’ read. I read!”
“Why the hell couldn’t you check out books? We don’t bar people from it.”
“You do if they ain’t got an address.” Oh.
