Chapter Text
Chance, a one son-of-a-lucky gambler, a guy that can catch the eyes of anyone who enters in his casino, that perfect dark grey hair, the crimson ruby colored eye that shines through his glasses, the smooth leather coat that tassels down to the floor, it's unbelievable to see that a man with such handsomeness can be so-
"FUCK YES, ANOTHER JACKPOT!!"
Extremely loud... Chance runs his own casino but yet he still goes off and spends his own money on the slot machines they own. A bit irresponsible but what else can you do. As half of the people were cheering him on, a glimpse of someone from a far watches him, spending his life away at his own place that does it for him to those to tried to rob him, walking into the crowd and disappearing.
.
As the slot-machines get louder and louder, each machine taking and spewing out money, the men and women drinking and getting wasted with each gulp of alcohol, the hours pass on by and allows the sun to set down and let the moon rise, a time to finally close the casino for the night. Chance looks over as they see the last person, a guy laughing and wobbling down onto the floor and taking a nap, he picks them up and attempts to take them to a motel to try and sober up, only to be surrounded by three muggers.
"If it ain't big-guy-money-shot, why don't you just give us the stash and we'll let you leave with just a bruise, Ey?" -robber 1
"Yeah... hand over the bucks and no one gets hurt..." -robber 2
Two of them spoke to him with a raspy and threatening tone, as if they sound like they're trying to scare him, but to there surprise, Chance has already dealt with people like this, gently placing the sleeping drunk man down and puts his hands in his pocket, rolling their eye and spoke softly to them.
"Look, I ain't wanting to hurt someone so... I suggest you guys move along and let me take this man to a place and let sleep."
The three muggers looked at each other and and stated to laugh like a pack of hyenas, mocking Chance as they get closer to them.
"Or what? You gonna throw a penny at us?" -robber 3
The last robber spoke softly but loud enough for Chance to hear, pulling out a butterfly knife and flicking it for the sharp end to stick out. With this little maneuver the third guy did, really pissed off Chance. Rolling his eye and clearing his throat, they pull one hand up out of his pocket, dropping a golden coin onto the floor. One of the thieves notices and attempts to grab it before Chance could even make a move to take it back, only to feel a full force of his shoe onto his face, kicking him onto the floor and away from him and the coin, completely knocked out.
Chance kneels down on one knee and picks his coin up, seeing both of the robbers in total shock from seeing there pal twitching and groaning, he chuckles and smiles at the two of them, fixing his fedora and spoke once more as they play with their coin.
"How about this, I flip this coin... and I'll let it decide. If it's tails: you both can take my belongings and that sleeping guy too. If it's heads-"
"I HAD ENOUGH OF YOU"- robber 2
Flipping the coin up to the air as both of the thieves run towards Chance, he crouches and allows the two to try and tackle him. As the coin reaches back to the ground, Chance catches it and slowly opens their hand and takes a look at it, their confident smile coming to his face as they spoke again.
"Heads."
Chance jumps up to the air a bit high enough for the two robbers to crash into each other, lunging forward and landing onto his knee and foot. Pulling out his other hand, he points a gun at both of them and pulls a trigger twice, a loud bang from a revolver echoes through the street, both the muggers stayed in one place, eventually falling to the ground in pure silence. They let out a small exhale of relief and tries to retrieve the drunk napper which he almost forgot, only to see the last thief holding him by the hair and holding the butterfly knife to his throat.
"O-one more step and this old fuck gets it! Ya' hear me?!"
Chance rolls his eyes and puts both his hands behind his back, they can see them trembling and shaking. Taking one small step to the thief, they can see him take the knife away from his throat and pointed towards them, Chance quickly pulls out his gun and shoots with no hesitation, the thief falling on his back immediately from the bullet landing an impact through his skull. Chance lets out one last groan, but this time loud.
"I fucking can't with these people... I swear, you guys need to find a new hobby."
Walking over to the drunk man, he can see that he's starting to sober up from that nap. Chance grabs his arm and tosses it over their shoulder, lifting them up a bit. Suddenly felt him become lighter, he was left confused, confused at first he looked over his shoulder and notices someone helping him.
"You look fuckin exhausted, even after dealing with those men."
A yellow guy with frosted white tips on his hair, sorta like ice snow, a black blind-fold covering his eyes and a sky-blue and white suit with a silky cape with fur. A guy that he never seen was helping him, Chance was confused where this man came from, why he was helping him, or why the fuck he was spying on him, but he did have a point... He was tired as shit.
"Yeah, it's a pain when dealing with people like that every... single... night. Until you give up, they'll take everything."
The blindfolded man smiled at him, but it wasn't a warm and reassuring one, one that can make your skin crawl. Unsurprising, Chance never noticed it, nor did he even care.
"You own that big-shot casino, right? Then they're just jealous they don't have your wealth."
"Heh... yeah, you can say that again."- Chance
The blindfold turns their head towards Chance and spoke again.
"I'm ITrapped, yours?"
Saying his name, Chance was surprised that someone said their name to them. It caught him off guard as no one was ever friendly to him, not even to say their own name. Chance smiled softly and shared their name, fixing his sunglasses and lifted his head.
"The name's Chance."
