• artemiy artemiyevich pinker has never been the type of person who does things conventually — not with his studies, not with his friendships, not with his signature spell, and certainly not with his relationship with you — so it only stands to reason that your first kiss with him would happen at the most unexpected moment in the most unusual way… and, of course, in what could arguably be the one moment in recent memory where he has ever leaned in to pre-existing expectations of him, that’s exactly how it played out
• because, frankly, you had no idea that he was even in your vicinity up until milliseconds before it happened — courtesy of his signature spell, of course
• so from your perspective, one moment you were just sitting down and admiring the view from just outside of your boyfriend’s grandparents’ home while waiting for him to come and meet you… and the next his disembodied head was floating a hair’s breadth away from your face, barely giving you a second to catch your breath before swiftly spinning upside down and chastely, cheekily, pressing his lips against yours
• and while the kiss itself only lasted for the length of a heartbeat or so before he pulled away, deactivated his spell completely, and gave you one of his distinctive grins as he offered to help you stand, it was more than enough to steal your breath, and leave you lightheaded in the best possible way, and trying desperately to regain your composure after the shock he gave you
