Chapter Text
It's late in 007n7's office, the clock ticking to his regular curfew. He stretched up from his chair, working out the kinks that uncomfortably had built up from him hunched over in a chair yelling into an intercom and monitoring base operations for hours.
It was a tiring job, but anything to push back against the Admins.
He shut down the servers, the many monitors looming over his desk switching off and plummeting him into total darkness due to the screens being the only illuminator in his office.
Summoning a gui panel solved the light problem and he had no troubles exiting his office and making his way down into his private quarters, it was about time he had some relaxation.
The general ended up flicking through countless movies and news articles, trying in vain to cure the numbing sensation of boredom that clawed its way from the back of his mind. He needed something fun, something to quell the beast inside that roared for entertainment, just anything that was actually physical or demanded his immediate attention!
Que Noli making an uncalled for (but not entirely unwanted) appearance. The glitch rudely awakens the burger hat man from his brooding with an attention seeking barge into his private space, greeting 007n7 like he hadn't broken in.
“Why hello, Seven! I sure hope I'm not intruding on anything of importance!”
Not like Noli would really care if he was or not.
“Soo… Wha'dya doing?”
The glitch kept poking around the space as if he hadn't been here on several accounts, all notably without further warning, taking a good look of the space until his attention focused back onto the general.
007n7 pinched the bridge of his nose, slumping back onto his couch in the cramped lounge room, of course that damned mad man is back.
Well, he was complaining about needing something stimulating for his brain.
Noli could suffice.
In stressing him out.
“Have you never been told about knocking or giving a heads up before you intrude into people's private living spaces?”
007n7 groaned out, dragging his hand down his face dramatically, making sure to dig his nails into his own face before meeting Noli's gaze again.
It always felt off looking into the glitch's mask, he doesn't have any pupils so it's unnerving to him.
Personal nitpicking aside, he made room for Noli despite the short notice, he's warmed up to the bomber quite dramatically over the past few, what was it? Weeks? Months? However long it was, 007n7's feeling better around him.
Noli took his upon himself to sit, cosily not on the perfectly plush and snug couch cushion, but instead on 007n7's lap, landing right on it with utmost confidence and earning a rather embarrassing squeaky noise from the general.
“Ahem I believe you missed the perfectly fine cushion right there beside you. Scooch back onto it.”
Noli made a pathetic dragged out whining sound meant to grate on his ears, wrapping his arms loosely around 007n7 and leaning further onto him.
“But I believe you're way warmer and cosier than any cushion! Well except maybe my big bear one, but you work just as fine.”
Seven felt himself melting into Noli's embrace, hesitant at first though starting to lean in further. This damned glitch is the only one to ever make him feel like this. A soft fuzzy feeling enveloped him in a way he never felt before, his feelings overwhelming him.
Noli was just so comfortable he felt relaxed and on the brink of sleep. Noli saw this and hugged his general back tighter, burying 007n7 into the fabric of his chest.
“Aww… I knew you were a big cuddle bug at heart. I promise not to tell anyone! Maybe.”
The bomber's words were surprisingly gentle when they left his mouth, the fragile intimacy of the moment remaining peacefully coddled and allowed to build.
Some time between 007n7 dozing off and his room's lights turning off during curfew to save power, Noli sneaked off, leaving a pillow wrapped in 007n7's arms.
One of Noli's pillows.
