For the last two months rich folks had been rolling in, all manner of nicely dressed men ready to invest in what was surely going to be the jewel of the American Southwest. They’d tried to tell Dutch as much, but the man’s mind was set on the ferry. Wealthy tourists and precious cargo too much of a siren’s call for him to be invested in such a slow moving job.
