Work Text:
Terra was hanging out in her little yarn area, relaxing. She then heard a shove behind the door connecting her shop and the midnight show studio.
”Hold on!” She got up and went to the door. When she opened it she saw Ruin. He was holding two tea cups filled with tea.
”Hi Terra.”
”Hi Ruin, come in.” Terra moved aside to let Ruin in. Once he walked in and Terra closed the door he handed her a tea cup.
“Oh thank you,” She took a gently sip. “So what brings you here?”
“I thought, since we don’t hang out much that we could just talk.” Ruin smiled as he said this.
“Oh, of course come on sit down.” Terra walked over to the couches and sat down. She patted the seat next to her for Ruin. He sat down.
”So what do you want to talk about?” Ruin blankly stared at Terra for a second then looked to the ground.
”Well okay I didn’t really think that far ahead.” Terra giggled a bit then sipped her tea.
”Well, I do have a question.” Ruin turned to Terra and took a sip of his tea.
”I want to know how your guys’ first days in the studio were like.” Ruin jolted back a bit from the question. He was a bit thrown off.
”Well, I adjusted pretty quickly the other two however.” Ruin gave a bit of a ‘yikes’ type look then sipped his tea.
”For Ballora it took us awhile to convince her to perform.” Ruin thought back to her first week there in the studio. She wouldn’t leave her room at all and when she did she seemed so down. She was stuck on the people closest to her forgetting who she was. Sometimes Eclipse said he heard her crying at night. Then when she did agree to a performance, she couldn’t stop. Eclipse had to physically drag her off stage. After that day she was almost never not smiling.
”We couldn’t get her off stage after her first performance.” Terra chuckled a bit
”What about Eclipse?” Ruin scoffed.
”What? Was it bad?”
”Oh no no. Well there was one thing, he kept hitting his head on things before he got a feel of the surroundings.” Eclipse was still really new his new height. Every time he tried going in a doorway he’d hit his head. Sometimes when he was running around, even though he can teleport, he’d slip and hit his head. It was like after their first interaction where Ruin hit Eclipse’s head with the ladder he just kept hitting his head.
”But he got a hang of it and started teleporting around more often.” Terra sipped more of her tea.
”How’s your business doing?” Ruin asked then sipped his tea.
“Oh it’s going great, people buy the stuff I make but not a rapid rates so I have time to make more.” Terra sipped the last of her tea.
”Hey, I want to ask you another thing?” Ruin titled his head to Terra.
”Where’d you and Eclipse go yesterday?” Ruin almost spat out the tea he was sipping.
”How do you know about that? It was Sunday!” Terra grinned a bit.
”Oh I came back a little early and saw you dragging Eclipse out of the studio. So I want to know where did you go?“
“… we went to my apartment.”
”Oh I didn’t know you had an apartment, I thought you lived at the studio like Ballora and Eclipse. Wait, why’d you take him to your apartment?” Ruin took a giant sip of the last of his tea.
”Oh would look at the time I should be heading back, see you Terra.” Ruin left the shop. Terra sat there, his cup still in her hand.
”Well, I’ll just assume things happened.” Terra sat there cup on her table, leaned back on the couch, and crossed her legs.
”He’ll get his cup back, eventually.”
