Lapis had recently moved in so she's pretty new and summer breaks close to ending so she's really hating everything since she has to go on a new school.
The brunette was drawing in her room just thinking on how her life sucks right now since she had to leave EVERYONE behind, honestly is that how Steven feels.
The 8 year old thought about the 6 year old Steven who lives in a van with his millionaire father.
wow, his father is a multimillionaire yet still lives in a van.

The 8 year old hid in the bushes, crying quietly. While hugging her legs,but then she hears a loud voice that made her flinch out of surprise and stood up.
"Uhm...hello!" The boy had curly hair with a...lot of leafs in it, but the boy seemed to not realized "why are you in the middle of the forest? And ALSO crying in the middle of the forest?"
The boy asked the brunette, curious.
But the latter didn't answer and instead said "Why are YOU in the forest" the boy stayed silent before responding"good point! My answer is I dont know why, Anyways hi I'm Steven" reaching out his hand for a handshake.
The girl sat down again but she didn't answer and instead asked another question "...I've never seen you before, are you new? It's a small town so everyone knows everyone...I'm....I'm lapis" and the 'steven' answered.
"I'm not from here, my dad and I lives in a van, so we move from places to places. and you didn't answer my question, where you in the forest?" The boy said his question again.
And lapis, paused for a second, thinking before speaking "my mom got earn by a monster" which shocked the poor child and said "WHAT! Are you gonna get eaten next? Is that why you were crying?"
Lapis,laughed at that "No-no, I was just joking" and Steven sighed in relief but lapis stopped laughing and got quiet again "my...mom decided to move out of town to another place and I got upset and ran into the forest" the brunette confessed as she hugs her legs again.
And Steven got confused "why are you that sad about moving?" He asked genuinely and lapis spoke "I...I wasn't born here my home country is the Philippines and 2 years ago we had to move due to a typhoon, I got really upset and it took me awhile to get used to the new place and now I have to move to another town...it's so dumb"
"Oh,I'm sorry you have to move again. but who knows, think of the positive side. You'll meet new people again and besides you'll eventually get accustomed to it again" the boy said cheerfully
"how the hell do you know those words" the girl said"
"Eh, my aunt gave me a dictionary for my 1st bday" the boy answered"
"My mom told me I only have a week till we live, so Steven, wanna hang with me for the rest of the week before I leave this town forever?" The brunette asked and the boy got giddy over that "OFCOURSE!"

Honestly,lapis really misses her old home and she's not happy she left it when she already left her 1st home.
"hey, honey!" Her mom yelled for her
the girl stopped drawing and headed over to her mom "yeah mom?" Lapis asked when she saw her mom talking and laughing with another woman she doesn't know.
Her mom looked at her and smiled "meet Xanthe our new neighbor, she came and greeted us since we recently moved and well we both got distracted and got into a chat and we decided to let you meet her daughter, so y'know maybe you can have your first friend her" her mom explained
But lapis got confused, she isn't seeing any kid, but then she looked closer and saw a Blondie hiding behind the other woman's back.
"Her name is peridot and well she's actually really shy so excuse her for hiding" the woman explained as she got out of the way and 'peridot' got revealed.
She had blonde hair and glasses that are tinted green she was holy pale unlike lapis who is like a brownish color and was shorter than lapis.
"H-hi" the latter spluttered out and lapis,not really caring said hi back
Her mom then said "peridot, this is lapis. She's my daughter" Her mom then proceeded to say to hang out with the girl in her room so she dragged the girl into her room not really caring that the girls about to trip if anything she would laugh if she did trip.
When they got into her room, lapis locked the door using a stool "alright, shortie" she said
"Uhm...peridot" the girl corrected and lapis answered "ok, anyways shortie" shes pretty sure she heard an 'uhh' "so, I don't like you already. You seem fragile and weird...and shy" and the blonde seemed to not like that "w-well, I don't like you for saying that"
"Good, so we agree on something" so she went back to her little drawing area and started drawing leaving to poor girl alone and standing.
the girl stood for a couple of seconds before deciding to try and see what lapis was drawing and it was silly cartoon characters so peridot, accidentally said without thinking "that's a stupid thing to draw" and lapis got pissed of "well, what are you a drawing expert"
And peridot got nervous but decided to answer "N-no but I have seen drawings that are useful" so lapis got even more mad and said "well what's a useful drawing you've seen,huh"
And peridot starts fidgeting before saying"... construction prints" and lapis paused before saying "well, that's different. Theirs is a jooooobbb"
"Well... they're still drawings" the blonde mumbled quietly, and lapis said "well that's stupid"
"I-its not" and lapis threw a Glare at her which made her completely stiff "drawing cartoon characters seem a little...pointless, it's as if you're are just trying to distract yourself from everything else" and that sentence peridot hit a nerve
Lapis stood up and --tried-- tackle peridot to the mattress on the floor and peridot took her hands so she wouldn't fall "take that back" lapis said
And peridot confused and more so entirely focused on trying not to fall says "w-what-" but lapis cut her of as she lapis gave more force and pushed both of them on the floor
And they ended up wrestling,"I said, take it back" lapis was bigger than peridot so she had more strength than her and peridot has weak nerd arms she can't fight lapis
So they both ended up just wrestling on the floor and peridot just silently begging god to make lapis tire out already cause SHES tired, and---finally-- after a few minutes lapis got exhausted, mind you she was winning so she got up from peridot and sat next to peridot who's breathing heavily on the floor and sweating but lapis's breathing isn't as bad as peridots.
She's honestly surprised peridot managed to hold on for so long, back in lapis's old town people refused to fight with her cause she was stronger than them and if someone tried they got defeated, she was quite popular.
So seeing someone hold their own for so long really surprised her, and makes her think that peridot is way stronger than she looks.
So lapis lied down on her back next to peridot and said "You... you put up quite a fight" and peridot breathing heavily tried to say thanks which came of as "tha...thwa-enks..."
Honestly, the fight put a light in lapis heart without knowing it(she didn't realized). someone can actually hold their own against her.
"I hate you" she breathe out and peridot didn't respond
Yeah, she hates her. She's supposed to be the strongest so why can this nerd who apperantly knows 'useful' stuff out out a fight, I guess now I'm having this urge to fight her.
(She doesn't hate her, her heart has realized something that her brain thinks as hate)

After that, their moms always spent time together since their houses are literally next to each other and that meant peridot came over a lot.
Lapis, for some reason. Always makes peridot wrestle with her, she doesnt know why she just gets this feeling and she's chasing that feeling yet everytime it doesn't feel right like shes getting something wrong and she hates feeling like that so she's choosing to choose peridot as her victim.
she hates her right? That's what lapis tells herself, that she hates peridot and that she's only choosing to agree to play is that so she can use it to advantage and wrestle her.
But, the feeling of something wrong becomes a void when peridot leaves to go back home. She gets this urge and she doesn't know what it wants her to do.
Meanwhile, peridots just glad she has a well 'frenemy' she can be with, even tho sometimes lapis is mean and hurts her feelings. But at least, she isn't as mean as jassie tho jasper doesn't like it whenever she calls her jassie saying that it's a dumb nickname.
but that doesn't matter, she has a friend...um...frenemy. and besides lazuli is a great frenemy.

In lapis's 9th birthday, she only celebrated with her mom and peridot since peridots mom is actually a busy woman and besides lapis doesn't want other friends she already has peridot
Peridot gave her her gift and when lapis opened it, it was well a sweater and lapis asked why a sweat peridot paused before saying "I...I heard you liked the ocean and since it's like cold season right now I thought I'll bring you to the nearby ocean after your birthday is over and I thought of a sweater since it's gonna be quite cold, but uh if you don't like it. I can give you another gift, lazuli" she anxiously explained and ofcourse offered another gift since she thinks lapis doesn't like it.
"What" lapis said and peridot responded "...so you don't like it?"
Lapis then said "no, ofcourse I like it just why are you calling me lazuli. Call me lapis, right her right now" she demanded and peridot got a little shy about that.
"Um...la-lapis" she mumbled quietly and lapis felt weird almost like shes excited "hah, loser. Seriously hesitating to say a name" she said as she chuckled and peridot smiled at that, now knowing that that's just how lapis appreciates someone and that's by teasing.

Timeskip 5 years later
Peridot stands in the living room of lapis's house waiting for her to arrive to go to school.
Lapis's mom arrived from the kitchen and asked "Hi,there peridot. Are you still waiting for lapis?"
And peridot smiled as she responded"yeah,I am" and lapis's mom apologizes "I'm sorry for that child peridot, I told her to wake up early but she just didn't listen or she either didn't wake up from the alarm" and peridot chuckled at that.
"Don't worry over her ma'am, I'm sure lapis is getting ready, I just think lapis dying her hair blue removed a few braincells" the latter's mom chuckled at the joke and was about to reply to peridot when lapis finally left her room
"oh,and speakjng of the devil, she's here" peridot said.
Lapis, in her uniform says "yeah,yeah. I'm here" and the girls mom Scolded her saying that lapis's carelessness will get peridot late with her since they walk together which peridot said she doesn't mind being late and lapis was like 'see? She doesn't mind mom'

As they both quietly walk together to school, the bluenette stared at the shorter gal, lapis decided to lightly punch peridots shoulder which peridot responded with a small 'ow'
"It wasn't even that strong and you're saying Ow? Hah!,loser" she teased and peridot responded with a scowl "it was unexpected" but as she spoke lapis noticed a bandage in peridots neck hidden by her uniform.
So she paused and stopped walking, peridot quickly realized she stopped walking so she stopped too
"What's that" she asked quietly as she pointed to the blondes neck and peridot replied "what's what" as she put a hand to her neck, covering it.
"You just covered it, you cant hide anything from me peri. Show it" lapis demanded and it was obvious peridot got more anxious "i-its nothing" and as quickly as peridot replied so did lapis "no it's not, tell me what's going on"
Peridot---hesistantly--- took her hand off and lapis quickly stepped closer to her which made peridot back up a little bit lapis walked closer and took her by the collar, but lapis was gentle not rough.
Lapis, examined the bandage. It's clearly new, maybe it was changed?
"Someone did this to you, is that...the case?" The bluenette asked, it was the clear truth yet she can imagine someone actually did this to her peridot.
"Uhm...N-no" the blonde answered, "oh for fucks sake, Its obvious you're lying peri" she replied back with bite.
Peridot started to shrink when lapis started cussing and the latter noticed, so she sighed and apologized "...I'm sorry peri, it's just that for these past couple weeks ever since middle school started you've been acting...off,is-...is someone bullying you"
Peridot paused, oh now the answer was obvious. Lapis knows what's happening now and she is pissed.
'how could I not notice, how did I not realize' the words repeating in lapis's mind feeling...guilty so she started to walk again headed to school.
She let go of the collar, and walked and walked that peridot had to ran after her, lapis just earned a goal.
and that's to fuck up whoever dares to touch peridot, no who even DARES to look at peridot wrong.

lapis,is quite popular. She's known due to her being in the swimming team and everyone knows lapis is planning to continue swimming in high school.
And what she's also know for is for having a face that's hard to read like an enigma. But today, something is very wrong. Lapis looks pissed off, as if someone dared to touch her sketchbook without her permission.
She looks like she's about to kill someone, yet they also noticed the nervous blonde behind her and so the whispers start 'why's the weirdo next to lapis?' 'who the hell is the girl behind lapis?' 'why is that Blondie walking next to lapis?' etc etc etc
'why have I been blind? Now that I'm hearing all of it. I guess I never really paid attention, she really is getting bullied' lapis was lost in thought when peridot tried calling for her but she didn't noticed due to her voice getting softer and smaller and smaller.... due to the whispers
perodot felt small,she's always been small. The weaker one,the shorter one, the anxious one,the weird one,the creep, the one nobody likes, the one who no one knows.
Shes...small
'...I guess it's my fault, I'm supposed to protect...her...huh,when did I feel the need to protect her...? No, it's probably because she's just a friend I've had for a really really long time' before lapis paused, peridot was no longer with her.
Peridots.not.with.her
'...no, shes probably in her class,me and her have different classes, shes OK."

It's already lunch, she hasn't seen peridot anywhere. She HAS to go find her, so she stands up and the people she sits with speaks
"Where are you going?" The boy asked and a girl agreed, lapis answered "I'm going to find peri" a different boy says "who?" lapis dumbfounded says "peri...,Peridot"
"Who's that" another boy asked, lapis is starting to feel frustrated"Girl, shorter than me, blonde,wears glasses and smart" the group seemed confused until a girl says "you mean the weirdo?" What, lapis's confused. What weirdo? She doesn't know Any weirdo...
Then a boy says "Ohhh, the weirdo. The one who follows lapis like a mutt" and suddenly the group starts agreeing.
"Oh yeah, the girls so weird" "yeah, she literally follows lapis like a mutt" "imagine being her, I could never" "lapis deserves so much better"
lapis,lapis felt her blood BOIL, mutt!? Weirdo!? her dear sweet Friend Peridot.
she slammed her hands down the table, pissed off and she stood up walking away before looking back with frustration and disgust "shes no mutt, you people are"
Then she left, she only had one thing in her mind "where's peridot" she mumbled and thought of it at the same time.

The whole lunch, she couldn't find peridot.
And now she's here, in her classroom.
She doesn't know if peridots ok
She and peridot don't have the same class
She feels incomplete
Her world feels incomplete
"Will lapis lazuli please come in the principals office" the school speaker announced and people stared at her but lapis's mind is somewhere else
It feels as if her body is in here, yet she feels like her mind is somewhere else.
She isn't in class, sitting
She's probably with peridot wrestling
Or maybe somewhere in the arcade playing games with peridot as she lost everytime
Her body isn't in those moments but her mind is
"Uh, lapis. You were called" she snapped out of her thoughts the thoughts felt weird,as if she wasn't here
"...oh,ok" she doesn't know what to feel, she feels...hollow inside, as if her organs were taken out and there's nothing inside and she knows that there's NOTHING inside.
As she walked to the principal it felt as if it wasn't her who's Walking, her feet are just moving

Moving towards what? Oh yeah, the principals office
