Sidney Poindexter’s lair was a school. Specifically it was Casper High, reflecting the state it was in the last few months of when Sidney was alive. He rarely left it – aside from this one time he switched places with Danny Phantom – but other than that, like most ghosts, he stays in his lair and just exists.
But like any student, sometimes he needs a break from school and recess isn’t cutting it. So he ventured out of the monochrome High School… only to find himself in another school, but colorful.
This one wasn’t the lair of another ghost stuck in school, this one was a school for ghosts. Mainly for netherborn ghosts like Box Lunch once she is old enough, but they offer some classes for the recently deceased. A class Sidney missed for… half a century. Not that the teachers mind. Some students had been skipping class for centuries. One could argue he is an early bird with his fifty years!
As Sidney moved around the neon halls of the school, he wondered, ‘Should I tell Phantom about this?’
“Sidney?” Danny asked as he floated into sia ghost’s lair. But aside from the reflections of Sidney’s old classmates, none reacted to his question.
The reflection of an old teacher – did she really look like a toad or did Sidney just see her as one? – croaked an explanation, “Mr. Poindexter transferred to a different school.”
“Huh?” Danny voiced, now very confused. “What other school-this is his lair, damnit! Oh, I ask Ghost Writer…” He then left again, acting as the C-student he is.
