Summary
His feet grew little wings, hurling him toward the door in a heartbeat and perhaps faster. He wasn’t aware he could ever run this fast, not even on the field. He didn’t remember reaching for the handle, didn’t feel it turn beneath his hand. The door was suddenly wide open, and everything blurred, his vision narrowing down to the pretty purple rose illuminating the doorway.
“Surprise!” Reo whooped, throwing his hands up in the air with uncontained excitement, smacking Nagi right in the face.“Owie,” Nagi mumbled, backing away slowly as he stared at Reo, taking him in: every little feature, the gleam in his eyes, the sunshine painting his face, the radiant smile. He was so beautiful, bright like lemons, and as lively as a sip of lemonade on an irritatingly hot day. He was here, right in front of him…Real.
“Happy birthday!” Reo grinned, flinging himself straight into Nagi’s arms.
