Chapter Text
They left her sitting all alone, as usual.
Shisui was in the other corner of the living room passing around a bong with a few frat guys and their girlfriends while Xiaolan was in the kitchen, stuffing her face with snacks. Say what you will about Kappa Sigma, but they sure know how to serve good food.
This is the second time Shisui dragged her and Xiaolan to this frat house because “they’re the only ones who know how to keep a proper balance,” according to her. The loud music and dancing was limited to the house’s large basement, leaving the upstairs living room relatively peaceful where the non-dancers can go to have an actual conversation or just smoke.
With the bass pounding her feet from below and the smoke billowing around her, Maomao continued staring at her phone. It was open to a pdf textbook for one of her classes. Her professor (and also adoptive father) Luomen told her to spend more time on class readings and less time running her own experiments.
A smile crept up on her face while thinking about one such experiment she conducted earlier today. She's been working on a salve that can make burn scars disappear or at least lessen its harsh appearance, and it was finally showing promising results after six months.
"Hey. You look like you're finally having fun." The flimsy sofa she was sitting on lowered from something, or more accurately, someone heavy landing right next to her. She can't help her body from sliding over to the huge, muscled, frat guy that sat down beside her.
"Really? Does it look that way to you?" Maomao replied while moving away from the guy. He's so big it's like he has his own gravity. He really should be more mindful of his surroundings. She successfully pulled herself away from him and was now pressed against the sofa's arm rest.
"Yeah. I saw you at our party last month too and you just spent the whole time on your phone. You’re pretty much doing the same thing again, but at least you’re smiling a little bit now haha" He was grinning at her while offering a red cup full of what she surmised to be alcohol.
She didn't remember seeing him at last month's party. Granted, she did just had eyes on her phone the whole time to notice anyone, but she did remember that they had decent booze. It was strong but mixed with fruit juice and an energy drink so the hangover won't be as severe the following morning.
"Thanks." She accepted the cup and took a sip. At least the booze is still good. She took a few big gulps and it was immediately down to a quarter. "So. What's got ya smiling on your phone there? Talking to your boyfrieeenndd?" She can't help but roll her eyes at him. What a meathead.
"Oh shit. Is it a girlfrieennddd?" He pumped his eyebrows up and down suggestively. She snorted. "No, it's not a girlfrieeeendd. Or boyfriend either. I was reading a textbook." His face scrunched up in disgust.
"The hell are you doing reading a textbook at a party? Here. Lemme let you join in on the fun." He pulled out something from his pocket and held it out to her. Lipstick?
"We got a bet going on. Whoever's got the most kiss marks on 'em at the end of the night wins the pot money. It's up to about 500 bucks now so i'm getting desperate."
So this is why he talked to me. She actually noticed the kiss marks all over him the moment he sat down next to her on the couch, but she didn't really care enough to wonder why.
"And what do I get from doing this?" She grabbed the lipstick from his hand, removed the cap, twisted the bottom to raise the waxy stick, and was now looking at it. Should I just do it? It is a party after all.
"Well, you get to press your lips onto Lihaku, Kappa Sigma's biggest, buffest, gigachad." He pulled up the sleeves of his shirt and flexed his biceps right at her face while biting his lip, making an outrageous expression that made her scoff.
It was probably the alcohol coursing through her system, dulling the rational decision-making part of her brain, but a naughty thought popped up in her head. Before she could think too deeply about it, she opened her phone’s front camera, swiped the lipstick on, smacked her lips together, then proceeded to lift up Lihaku's shirt.
Woah. This guy's cut. She can't help but take a second to appreciate his well-defined chest and abs, inadvertently running her hands over them. "Like the view huh?" He grinned at her, which annoyed her for some reason.
She furrowed her brow and lowered her head, seemingly to his lap. "Woah!" He couldn't help but put his hands up in surprise when he saw where her head was going, but before she got to his crotch, she stopped.
Maomao was right around his bellybutton and Lihaku could feel her warm breath on his skin. He shivered and goosebumps appeared all over him. He was excitedly wondering what she was about to do next when she bit down.
"Ow! What the..." She can't help but smile a little when she felt him flinch from her playful bite. Her red lips pressed down on the spot where she just bit him, hiding the teeth marks, and leaving behind the perfect kiss mark he was asking for.
"There. Let me know if you win the 500 bucks." She stood up quickly and turned towards the kitchen, hoping to drag Xiaolan back to their dorm. She did have a fair bit of studying left to do.
Lihaku was left sitting at the couch, staring down dumbfoundedly at the bright red spot on his abs and the noticeable tent growing in his pants. He heard a whistle and looked up.
His roommate Basen was leaning against the wall, one eyebrow raised and corners of his lips turned up in a teasing smile. "That was quite a show." Lihaku flipped him off, covered his hands down his front and rushed off to their room, making sure to lock the door behind him with a click.

EPILOGUE
Maomao woke up from a few knocks on her and Xiaolan's door. She opened her eyes blearily and glanced at Xiaolan's side of the room. She was sprawled out on her bed, still in last night's clothes and a little bit of drool on the corner of her mouth. Guess i'll go get it then.
Maomao stood up and walked to the door. She glanced at the alarm clock on her bedside table and scratched her head, wondering what someone could possibly want this early in the morning.
"Hey! You left this on the couch last night. Hehe" It was Lihaku, giving her a big smile that was too bright for this time of day.
He was dangling her phone from one hand. My phone! I didn't even know I left it! "Thanks." She grabbed it from him and clicked the power button, showing her lockscreen. It was a selfie of her, Xiaolan, and Shisui.
"Anybody ever tell you you look different without makeup on?" Such a rude meathead. She scowled openly at him. "Yeah. All the time actually."
"Hah. So anyways, I won the pot money last night and I thought I should treat you to breakfast. You did help me win it after all..."
He looked away and put a hand behind his head. She could see his cheeks redden slightly. Pot money? She wondered what he was talking about when scenes of what happened the night before flashed in her mind. The drink. The lipstick. His abs. Her bite. Her lips on his abs.
She can feel her own cheeks reddening. "Nope." She slammed the door on his face, jumped back to bed, and buried her face into her pillow. The damn booze!
