Jason sighs. "You really can't keep doing this, Tim. It's fu- fudging dangerous." He's not sure how old Timmy is, but he definitely can't be over ten. Alfie would charge Jason triple for the swear jar.

Tim shrugs. "I mean, what have I got to lose?"

Beyond exasperated, Jason tosses his hands in the air. "I don't know, kid, your life?"

The kid scoffs out loud. "Oh yeah, because that's worth so much."

I've loved this fic in particular for a long time. Tim's stark knowledge of how long it would take for someone to notice, and Jason's immediate horror—so well done. Tim's line about Jason being the only one who would notice and he was always trying to get rid of Tim??? OUCH. tear out my heart and throw it down the street, will you?
Also, to a wonderful commenter recently, i have chosen another Tim Drake story that will hurt you....sorry?
