The crowd erupted in claps and cheers as the wonderlands x showtime show wrapped up. All of them walked off stage talking while heading to their dressing rooms.
Tsukasa was oddly quiet, no one particularly noticed it.
Eventually Tsukasa stumbled into his dressing room after a performance.
shit.
He had forgotten to eat that day. Maybe the days before as well. He could barely remember. He stumbled to his chair and sat down, putting his head on his desk sighing.
God, i feel like shit…
the blonde had thought to himself. He nuzzled his head deeper into his desk the cold wood against his forehead. He needed to get up and get changed.
As he lifted his head the lights felt way more bright and it made his head feel like it was getting smashed in.
He stood up fast, too fast. As he stood quickly his vision blurred at the ends.
Seeing his own vision fade he immediately clung onto the edge of his desk to stable himself.
There was a knock followed by a voice that Tsukasa couldn't even process. It was a familiar voice. A soft voice.
“Hey uh Tsukasa you've been in there for a bit are you alright?” Rui said from the other side of the door. His knuckle was still placed on the door awaiting a response.
Tsukasa couldn't respond from the nausea he was experiencing. His stomach churned and his mind felt foggy.
The lack of response put Rui on edge his knuckle pressed firmly against the slab of wood that separated the two.
“Uh I'm going to come in if you don't mind-” Rui opened the door, his head peaked through the crack of the door.
Tsukasa looked up and just saw Rui, his expression a blob of concern saying something, but he couldn't hear him anyways.
Tsukasa wanted to plead for help, before he could muster a query of help out. Everything faded black.
The black was followed by a loud thump.
Tsukasas unconscious form stayed like that for god knows how long.
Eventually Tsukasa woke up.
“u-urgh... where am I...?” The blonde looked around for a second his vision still slightly blurred at the edges. Finally his eyes had focused.
Oh, it was Ruis room.
He could tell it was Rui’s room from all the small trinkets, and the post it notes having ideas from new show ideas, and lots of creative stuff, that’s for sure.
Though the blonde was wondering why he was even there in the first place.
He stood up and looked around. His room was comfy and nice. He tried to not take to long admiring his directors room. Eventually he left Rui's room, in search for him.
He walked down the stairs yawning extremely tired from the eventful show they held last night. When he reached the bottom, he saw Rui fast asleep on the couch covered with a small blanket.
Tsukasas mind rampaged
what?!
Why was he sleeping on the couch, why was Tsukasa in his bed, why didn't Rui just make him sleep on the couch, what even is going on?
So many questions passed the blonde all at once none of them being answered.
He opened his phone and looked at the time it was currently 8:32AM on Sunday.
Tsukasa sat down on the edge of the couch trying not to wake up Rui. Staring at the sleeping director.
He thought about how adorable Rui had looked curled up on the couch. Tsukasa felt his face flush a shade of pink then shook his head rapidly.
no no no no no no no that's stupid!
He heard the director sigh then slowly opened his eyes and sat up. “Oh, good you're up” Rui muttered, looking at Tsukasa with dreary eyes.
Tsukasa shot up and yelped “oh! You're up, I mean, uh-yeah… morning”
why am I so... on edge right now it's just Rui
Tsukasa was lost in his mind questioning himself trying to convince himself that he was just tired from the night before. “well did you sleep well?” Rui asked, “uh oh y-yeah...”
God damn it why did i stutter so bad?
“Wow, just good? I gave up my bed just for you to get decent sleep?”
“Wait I meant good I was just-” “I know I was just teasing you!” Rui chuckled. Oh my god why do I keep screwing up?! The blonde thought to himself.
“I'm going to go to the bathroom” Rui stated before standing up and leaving. “Oh, ok do you want breakfast?” “Yeah, sure if you find something to make” The director replied.
While Rui was in the bathroom, Tsukasa went through the cabinets and fridge finding no vegetables which was totally not surprising to Tsukasa.
He even found himself chuckling at Rui’s hatred for veggies. He found rice and decided that was enough for him to do.
About 20 minutes later Rui walked out more awake and energetic. “Oh, one sec-I forgot my earrings I'll be right back!” Rui smiled, rushing back to the bathroom. "You mean earring, you only wear one anyways,”
Tsukasa retorted, rolling his eyes playfully. When Tsukasa finished the rice, he placed it into two white bowls and Rui came back and took one.
“Thanks! Now you should go get yourself together” Rui responded already digging into the rice. “I barely even need to; I always look great” Tsukasa smiled proudly and chucked.
“mhm now go get dressed Emu and Nene asked if we wanted to hang out” Rui said smirking.
“what did you say?” “I said we were up to it” “we?” Tsukasa said tilting to his director “eh- I mean if its alright with you I didn't mean to like-”
“yeah, it's fine I was ‘Just teasing you!’” Tsukasa smirked and left while Rui rolled his eyes smiling softly at his sarcastic remark.
Tsukasa walked up the stairs smiling.
I'm so happy I could find a friend like him...
Tsukasa reached the top of the stairs walking to Rui’s room.
I think it would be fine if I borrowed his clothes, right?
He walked into Rui’s room and went to the closet grabbing a pair of baggy jeans, a blue sweater and a cream colored under sweater.
Why does it... smell like him. Wait, why do I care so much it's just clothes what am I talking about it’s just a scent! Right?
He quickly changed but before going downstairs he looked around his director's room. Just out of curiosity and nothing else!
Looking around, he saw a perfume bottle and a tiny sample version of it “hm... lilac” Tsukasa thought out loud.
He grabbed the small bottle and smelled it. Tsukasa’s face was burning it smelled just like Rui... and why did the blonde like it so much?
The scent filed his nostrils, a sense of peace crossing the blondes mind at the fragrance his director uses.
Tsukasa smuggled the bottle into his pocket and headed back down the stairs creaking under his heel. He reached the bottom to see the director eating the rice smiling with his mouth full “this is super good by the way!” Rui muffled through the food.
”Don’t talk while you're eating!” Tsukasa replied, grabbing his bowl.
“Do you know where were going to hang out with the others?” Rui opened his mouth to reply, but Tsukasa closed his jaw before he could talk “chew first”
Rui made a wounded puppy sound but swallowed. “Well, they said that they wanted to meet up for lunch or something.” Rui said after eating his rice washing off the bowl. “Do you know where?” “Uh they didn't really say anything”
A couple hours passed and it was about 12:00 they started walking towards a restaurant in town that Nene recommended
I'm wearing Ruis clothes... does he even notice that I took that bottle thing? No probably not I'm overthinking
The blonde was very deep into his thoughts not noticing the pipe in front of his path
BANG
“OWWWAHHH”
Tsukasa yelped while the director just laughed at Tsukasa on the floor before reaching his hand out.
“You, ok?” Rui chuckled “Ow... fine” “how did you not see that pipe?”
“I was just thinking” “ahh about?” “Oh well uh-hm a new story for our show!” Tsukasa said he was making something up on the spot.
“Hmm tell me more?” “Y-yeah uh these 2 guys meet uh one a star and on uhm an underdog and the star uh...” “take your time” Rui said smirking.
“I well- though the star tries hard he ends up failing and looks towards the underdog remembering the reason he started music to make people happy!” “hm...”
Rui was thinking, hand placed on his chin mumbling and humming to himself like he often did whilst thinking.
“That could work if we put more thought into it later on” “Really?” Tsukasa was surprised that Rui didn't call it dumb since it was made within the span of 3 consecutive seconds.
Eventually they got to the restaurant and saw Emu showing some random videos to Nene outside. “Hey guys!” Rui said “HI HI!!!” Emu said excitedly
“You guys excited for this new place I heard it was good” “If it's enough to fill a star like me, I'll be good” Tsukasa chuckled.
They got a table and Tsukasa and Rui sat on one side of the booth while Nene and Emu sat on the other side.
The group ordered their food and were having a good time though Tsukasa kept catching glances at Rui checking his phone often.
He also saw Emu typing on her phone a lot during lunch.
What are they talking about... god I just want to snatch his phone maybe if I lean, I could see the text?
Tsukasa leaned towards Rui a tad catching half a sentence only seeing-
“IDK WAHT TO TELL YOU WWAHWHHAWHAH” from Emu before Rui shut off his phone.
I don't know what to tell you...? What are they talking about???
“Well have we had any ideas for a new show or story?” Nene asked. “Ahh well Tsukasa had one earlier though I did forget it.” Rui replied. “AHHH TELL US!” “Emu quiet down this is a public place.”
“Ehm sorry” Emu said quieter.
Tsukasa chuckled. “Well, it needs to go through some more thinking you know I need to give the audience my 100% even in story telling!”
“Tell me once it finished, I do remember it was about a star of sorts, so I'm interested.” Eventually their food went to the table.
Emu started eating immediately then got heartburn right after Nene and Rui were taking their time, but Tsukasa didn't feel like eating, he didn't know why.
He just... didnt.
After 10 minutes Emu was holding her stomach as Nene scolded her about eating slower while that was happening, Rui turned to Tsukasa with genuine concern.
“Tsukasa-Kun... uh why haven't you eaten?” “Oh...hahh I'm not sure.”
Why does he have to notice the small things...
“Please eat Tsukasa I don't want you passing out again, okay?” Rui gave him this look of concern and care that made Tsukasa's face burn.
“Y-yeah I'll eat-t" Great, his stutters were back.
Emus stomach stopped hurting mostly and Nene sighed.
“Thanks for the help, guys.” Nene rolled her eyes voice dripping of sarcasm.
“Oh no problem, Nene! Happy to help.” Rui smiled innocently trying not to laugh at his own sarcasm. “What time is it?” Emu asked
Rui checked his phone quickly “Oh uh 1:13”
Already 1:13 how did time go by so fast?
The waiter walked up “would you guys like boxes?” She asked with a smile holding the check.
“Eh I think we’re fi-” “uhm one box please!” Rui cut Tsukasa off. “Mhm here is your check I'll go get the box!"
The waiter left after putting the check down. “So how are we going to split this?” Rui asked, “Any way!” Emu responded, “okay so let's all just pay like 4,700 yen?” He recommended pulling out his wallet.
“Yeah, that works!” Everyone was grabbing their wallets to pay fairly while Tsukasa was thinking about why Rui asked for a box.
The waiter came back with a box grabbing the check “Thank you for dining here” the waiter said with a bow.
The 4 were about to leave but before they did Rui was putting Tsukasa's food in a box, Emu and Nene were already outside because Emu was impatient.
“Uh what are you doing?” The blonde asked tilting his head with confusion glinting in his eyes.
“You left behind almost all your food you're not going hungry on me again.” Rui responded without a beat.
“That was like one time Rui its fine” Rui shook his head quickly. “No I'm not wasting this food!”
Why is he so stubborn... he's kind of cute when he is….I did not mean that I meant it in a friendly way yeah!
“Tsukasa-Kun you really need to stop zoning out...” “huh?!” Rui chuckled at the blonde's confusion. “Shut up Rui.” “Aw my heart how you hurt me so!” Rui said while walking outside of the restaurant side by side.
