NGE: Adam's Tear

Summary:

NGE from Adam's perspective, with custom lore I will add.
This is a one-shot.

Notes:

I wrote this because I was bored and had free time.
This will only be a one-shot and maybe I will make another fanfioin the future.

Work Text:

When Adam first landed onto Earth and awoke, he remembered his mission: "spread life."

He who was gifted the Fruit of Life had the mission of spreading his children, as F.A.R. had told him and the other 6 seeds of life.

Seed of life: Adam was gifted the Fruit of life, which allowed him to create unique living beings out of his imagination by using his Light of the Soul.

What did that mean? He didn't know.

He was not given emotions, only the knowledge of what F.A.R. told him was in his mind. Because of that, he lacked imagination and didn't know how to create life or even what life was.

When he exited his White Moon, as the F.A.R. called it, he was greeted with a bare, rocky, and hazy world with no solid ground to walk on.

He decided to explore the world he fell upon, walking through the hellish landscape and observing things around him.

As he explored, he looked at the sky and saw another world. Same as the one he was on but with less molten mass.

500 million years later, Adam still explored his world. Why? He had nothing else to do, and he did not complain.

Because of the white titan's exploration, the world he was on was becoming more stable because of his walking flattening the planet.

It was this specific day that Adam noticed something new.

A black version of his Moon coming down to the other world at high speeds

And as it fell on the other world, it pushed the world onto his, making them collide.

His vision went blank.

When he woke up, he saw the world he walked on was in bits.

Chunks above and the core exposed.

As he looked, he saw the Black Moon floating in the sky.

Then he reached out with his hand and, for the first time in his life, used his Light of the Soul.

He re-created his world and added parts of the other world to it, fixing it.

After that, he manipulated the Black Moon and made it collide into his world with less force, but still enough to create a crater.

And with the material that was left, he used it to create a gray moon to protect the world from future impacts.

But through all of this Adam felt nothing.

He re-created the world because it was his world that F.A.R. designated for him.

Not because he felt attached to it.

He went back to his White Moon to retrieve his Spear of Longinus, a weapon used to destroy the light of the soul.

There was another rule F.A.R. told the 7 seeds.

"There can be only one seed on a single world; if 2 exist on a single world, one should be terminated with the Spear of Longinus."

And with the Spear in hand, Adam went to the Black Moon.

Inside the Black Moon, he saw another White Titan, but it was different from him.

It had 7 crimson eyes and more bulk, while he had 2 cobalt eyes and a slimmer build.

But what Adam noticed the most was one thing.

It was showing emotion.

Something Adam never had.

It was wallowing in pain on the bottom of the Moon. Clutching its body.

Adam didn't want to kill it; it seems useless to end something that can't hurt you.

But when your creator sets rules, you must follow them.

And so Adam pierced Lilith's chest, and blood flew.

Lilith screamed, and Adam was covered in her orange blood.

When Adam pulled the Spear out of Lilith and tried to end her by destroying her core, he noticed something he'd missed.

1st was that the Spear Lilith was given was broken on the other side of the Black Moon.

2nd was that Lilith was trying to defend herself by projecting her light of the soul as a barrier.

3rd, she was trying to communicate with him.

Adam could care less about the 1st or 3rd thing, but the 2nd thing was what made him stop.

Lilith had figured out how to use her Light of the Soul 500 million years before Adam could, and because of that, Lilith qualified as a better seed and better owner of this world.

After Adam realized that he simply left the Black Moon and started to walk to his White Moon, much to Lilith's confusion.

As he walked to his White Moon, Adam felt different.

He felt changed in some way after leaving the Black Moon, but he couldn't figure out how. Until he noticed it.

Lilith's blood was no longer on him at all.

That was weird; liquid doesn't disappear in 3 minutes along with all its moisture.

Adam felt curious about how it happened.

As he thought of that, he stopped in his tracks and dropped the Spear.

Adam 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀.

Adam felt emotion for the first time.

As Adam thought on how this could happen, he remembered that Lilith's blood disappeared from his body. That, combined with the ability to feel emotion, left only one conclusion.

Adam absorbed some of the Fruit of Knowledge from Lilith's blood.

That meant Adam could finally have an imagination and could create life.

But that meant nothing compared to Lilith's talent for the light of the soul.

Adam picked up his fallen Spear and continued to walk to his White Moon.

In his White Moon, Adam positioned himself at the center and pierced his chest with the spear.

When the Spear of Longinus's points are positioned in-between a core, the living being that the core belongs to enters a deep sleep.

His plan was for Lilith's life to flourish on earth, and if an accident happened that resulted in their death, someone would come and wake him up.

As Adam felt his consciousness leave him, he imagined something.

He, alongside 16 other figures, was on a picnic with smiles on their faces.

He didn't know what it meant, but he was curious.

When Adam woke up, he expected to see a being removing the spear from his chest inside his white moon; he didn't expect that his hollow moon would be covered in metal and tiny beings trying to pull the spear out of him.

By the looks of it, the tiny beings have pulled the spear 27.32% out of him, not enough to pull it out, but enough to awaken Adam by stabilizing his core again.

Logically, he should get up and look for Lilith to see the progress her life had made and, after that, go back to dormancy.

But he didn't want to.

He felt 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 about what was happening around him, so he faked being inactive and started to observe these beings.

He didn't understand them at first.

The beings communicated with organs in their faces by making sound, instead of with the light of the soul.

Could these beings not use the Light of the Soul?

That can't be true, though; every being created has a light of the soul, and he could feel it from the beings that did possess it.

Did they just refuse to use it?

Did they even know that they had it?

Did they know how to control it?

So many things are feeding Adams's 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

After some time, Adam met a very interesting being in there.

A being possessing 2 lights of the soul.

That shouldn't be possible in any way except if 2 beings exist simultaneously.

And when he checked the being's light of the soul thoroughly, he saw it.

Another being inside the being.

That sparked Adam's 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 even more.

Adam observed that specific being from then on, studying the being's movements, decisions, and interactions.

He remembered one speech specifically because it was a simple one with few words.

"How far along are you, Ikari-san?"

"About 2 months, Ahira-san."

He didn't know what those words meant, but it did spark some 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 in him.

He was getting closer to understanding the language in this place.

The tiny beings were divided into "he" and "her," while he was called an "it."

He didn't understand why he was being called that; it didn't feel like it fit him. The title "he" fit much better for him.

As well as learning the 2 titles the tiny beings have, he also learned other "words," as they called it.

He learned what water is, what the sky is, and what time system they use, but most importantly, he learned something through his own deduction.

Pregnancy.

Pregnancy was, from Adam's understanding, a ritual where 2 beings' souls become one and form a new soul over a period of time.

That was an extremely powerful ability that these beings have.

But the knowledge of this also sparked Adam's 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 even further than before.

It made him ask a question of himself.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?

????????–The Son Of ????

The next day when the pregnant being came close to him, he enacted the plan he made.

He would add some of his Light of the Soul to the beings inside of the women.

He would make a life for the first time.

As he tried to put some of his Light into the women, the women began to convulse on the floor while screaming in pain.

"AAAAARGH!!!! AAAAAAAAH!!! AAAAAA..."

Adam immediately knew he did something wrong.

Maybe it was that the ritual could only work with 2 souls, not 3.

So Adam hesitantly started to alter the being inside her.

He could remove his soul part from the ritual and return things back to normal, but that would leave his progress as nothing, so he decided on a different course of action.

He would remove the soul part and replace it with his.

And so he did.

He removed the soul part that wasn't hers and replaced it with his.

By the time he finished altering the being inside her, she was already unconscious and being dragged off to something called a "medical center."

He never saw her again.

He felt different after doing that.

He felt this feeling before, when he gained the emotion of 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, but this emotion was different.

It was 𝗷𝗼𝘆.

Pure 𝗷𝗼𝘆.

And he reveled in it.

He created life!

Or so he thinks.

But he did technically make it.

What would he feel if he created more?

He could imagine, he could create, and he could communicate with them without alerting Lilith or the tiny beings.

And so, Adam started to imagine.

SACHIEL–The Son Of Water

-What if he made a being that has some properties as the tiny beings but is accustomed to the water?

-a being that can quickly adapt to its environment.

-with the defensive structure of bone (a body defensive stabilizer from the tiny beings) to protect him and to use as a weapon called IMPACT LANCE

When he created his child (as tiny beings call newly created beings), he placed his core inside him, hidden from the tiny being's knowledge.

When he spiritually tried to talk to him inside his mind by using his light of the soul, he wasn't impressed.

Sachiel showed no emotion.

He was acting like Adam did when he first came to this world.

Just walking around in Adam's mind and looking around.

Nothing else.

Just apathy and waiting orders from his creator.

Adam understood why Sachiel was like that, but Ada, he wanted more; he wanted more emotion, and he wanted his children to also feel it.

He would figure out how to make his children feel emotion.

Even if it's the last thing he did.

As Adam spent pondering on what to make his 3rd creation about, he figured that he should name the tiny beings working on him.

He named them Lilum, the children of Lilith and the sons' and daughters' possibilities.

Shamshel–The Son of Morning

-The Lilum described morning as an orange and red illumination based on the sun's position, so he would make Shamshel the color red and make him draw focus.

-The marine life called jellyfish he would use also for the creation of Shamshel; he would have some of the structure of one with appendages that could inflict the damage the jellyfish inflict, just on a much larger scale. They would be called PLASMA WHIPS.

-At the end he added 2 eyes on Shamshel that it could use however it wants.

Shamshel was just like Sachiel, apathetic and without any goal, just wandering around the mind of Adam.

The unique thing he gave Shamshel was the choice of what he could use his eyes for.

He gave him the ability to choose over something.

And Adam wanted to see the results of it in the future.

Ramiel–The Daughter of Thunder

-To extend the theory that he used on Shamshel, Ramiel would have the ability to create physical objects from her own body.

-The body would be a simple shape because of its versatility with the combination of its ability.

-Thunder was what Lilum called an extremely high burst of energy, so he gave Ramiel the ability to shoot out thunder by making it from her light of the soul.

Adam was extremely satisfied with Ramiel.

Creating something so unique and simple at the same time brought him immense 𝗷𝗼𝘆 and more fuel to his 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Inside his mind realm, Ramiel was different from Sachiel and Shamshel. Why? Ramiel was making noise, multiple different ones with different frequencies and sounds.

A sign of 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆?

He didn't know for shure, but he was still happy about how Ramiel turned out.

Gaghiel–The Son of Fish

-The marine life had been used for the creation of Sachiel and Shamshel, so for one last time he would take traits from them, specifically from the strongest marine life the scientists (a job title from the Lilum) described on their breaks.

-the jaw and the way of attack from the shark.

-the size and durability of a whale.

-the speed of a swordfish.

Are marine life also a life made by Lilith?

They shared no similarities with Lilum, except for the pregnancy ability.

And speaking about pregnancy, Adam learned that pregnancy could lead to multiple lives, not just one. Very fascinating.

With Gaghiel, he was once again underwhelmed.

He was just like Sachiel and Shamshel, except he swam inside his mind realm at high speeds.

Maybe he really should stop using marine life as a basis.

Israfel–The Daughter's Of Dance, Music, and Poetry

-What if Adam took the concept of twins but made them one being that splits into 2?

-dance (the act of merging souls through footwork), music (sound that unifies beings), and poetry (written art that unifies beings) for the merging to work.

-The body is similar to Lilum for the capability to dance.

-2 souls that are constantly one, even in soul, so if one core gets destroyed, the other can just revive the other the second it happens.

Adam's attempt at creating twins was a difficult task because he didn't understand the concept very well.

Some Lilum said twins were the same person just copied; others said they were 2 lovers reincarnated.

So he took both of those ideas and combined them into his daughter Israfel.

Kou, the Daughter of Dance, was silver, while Otsu, the Daughter of Music, was gold, and together they are Israfel, the Daughters of Poetry.

The experiment was to see if they would act differently even though they had the same soul.

Inside his mind realm, Israfel was the most physically active out of them all.

Jumping, spinning, making noise, trying to write, fusing and defusing—they were doing so many things together, but by the looks of it, they didn't feel emotion, only instinct because it's their title.

But he was satisfied with his daughter's; he was sure they were the closest he got to making emotion.

Maybe he should learn some dance, music, or poetry to teach them?

He was acting like a dad, and he was 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.

Sandalphon–The Son Of Embryos

-What if Adam made a being that progressed like a human embryo (1st stage of human progression in the womb) and could evolve and grow in the environment it is placed in?

A simple concept Adam thought of, but it could only be proven in the physical world and not in his mind realm.

Sandalphon was the perfect being of adaptation; depending on the environment, the embryo would grow into a completely unique being.

Maybe if he could find a new world where Lilith isn't on and make his life free instead of running around in his mind, he could let his children be free and roam.

Maybe they will be 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.

He wanted them to be 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.

Only time would tell.

Matarael–The Daughter Of Rain

-Adam heard that rain was water that fell from above; he didn't know what was above, though.

-Sometimes Lilum release salty water from their eyes; was that what falling above mentioned? Was that rain? The idea was amplified when he heard a Lilum say to another that had water dropping from his eyes, "Why the raindrops?"

Adam felt indifferent to Matarael.

She was a fine creation. A small body with 4 appendages with 9 eyes, 8 fake and 1 real.

"From the real eye the rain would fall and go through all" was the theme Adam made when creating Matarael.

There was no experiment for Matarael; Adam just decided to create her from the quote he made.

Inside the mind realm, Matarael just walked and slightly interacted with her siblings.

Sahaquiel–The Son of Sky

-"The all-seeing eye" is a quote that Adam got 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 about. A single eye that can see all? How? From the highest point in the world maybe?

-The sky was a new word. Adam figured out recently the blue infinity when you look up. Was that how the eye sees all?

Adam made Sahaquiel purely because of the quote "all-seeing eye." He got invested in poetry because of Israfel and wanted to use his newfound knowledge for creation.

Sahaquiel was a giant eye...and that was pretty much it.

His purpose is to observe and learn anything he sees from the sky, his domain.

Inside the mind realm, Sahaquiel was high up observing his siblings and learning from them.

Adam was 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 with Sahaquiel because he reminded him of himself. An observing being learning from others. The only question left is, would he gain emotion?

Adam was happy with his 8 children. Pure pieces of art that he made and loved with all his soul. Adam planned to make 7 more...and retrieve the first.

Adam wondered what happened to ???????? He truly did. Was he born? Did he die? Did they find out about his interference? He truly wondered about his first's well-being.

Why did he decide to make 16 children?

He remembered the image he had imagined when he impaled himself. He was with 16 others on a green field, eating, talking, having fun...being a family.

Adam's only wish was to make his children and himself 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.

He wanted ???????? to return to him if he could; if not, then he would find his first son and reunite with him, and finally, after creating the last 7, they would all be 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆.

The Lilum has removed 58.92% of the spear from him. Some of them have been talking about the "Dead Sea Scrolls," whatever that meant.

Why were they trying to remove the spear, though?

Wasn't Lilith still alive?

Lilith was still alive; Adam knew that. Every Seed of Life has the same energy, so Adam knew Lilith was alive when he sensed her in the same location he left her when he impaled her.

Did Lilith know he was here?

Lilith was, from Adam's understanding, the most reasonable being to ever exist because of the fruit of knowledge.

So shouldn't she have met him when the Lilum discovered him?

So many questions, zero answers.

He has been teaching his children stuff he learned from the Lilum and teaching them how to use the Light of the Soul.

He taught Sachiel how to use the barrier technique and the optimal way to use his IMPACT LANCES.

He taught Shamshel also the barrier technique and how to better use his PLASMA WHIPS.

He taught Ramiel new shapes she can transform into alongside the barrier technique.

He had nothing to teach Gaghiel because his knowledge of fish was limited. The barrier technique was hard for Gaghiel to use.

He already taught Israfel all that he knew from dance, music, and poetry. The barrier technique was easy for her to learn.

He couldn't teach anything to Sandalphon because of his embryonic state. He would teach him after they all leave his mind realm.

When he tried to teach Matarael the barrier technique, he came into a problem. Matarael had a hard time learning it. His daughter was the most unstable out of them all, and her barrier took a long time to make. The positive thing was that she learned to use her Light of the Soul on a different form. She formed her Light in a liquid form that can go through anything. That made Adam 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆. His child is learning something without his help.

He didn't need to teach anything to Sahaquiel, because he already learned everything by observing him teaching the others.

Adam was a 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 father.

Ireul–The Daughter of Terror

-What if he took the basis of a virus (beings that wander without a soul in the air) and made it into a hivemind?

-also with the evolution ability from Sandalphon.

Iruel was just like Sandalphon in the mind realm, doing nothing. Its ability could only be used in the real world, so she currently could do nothing but float and explore.

Should he teach her something he learned about viruses?

Iruel would currently remain an enigma in the mind realm alongside Sandalphon.

Leliel–The Daughter Of Night

-The quote that he heard from a Lilum, "Darkness is just another word," stuck with him, and that would be the idea of Leliel.

-What if he made an entire world that his new daughter would access?

- The gateway would be Leliel herself, with the ability to drag things into it.

-Leliel herself would look like a shadow (a space of darkness caused by lack of light) with a fake body for distraction.

Leliel has been the most daunting one to make out of them all. To create a whole different world for his daughter, he had to stretch his Fruit of Life's power to its maximum, and in the end it worked.

He made a whole different world of white nothingness for his daughter to use as she wished.

Her core would be inside the new world. Acting like a generator for it.

Inside his mind realm, Leliel interacted with the others the most, pulling them in and out of her world.

Why was Leliel acting differently from the others when she entered the mind realm?

Was she 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 like Ramiel?

He didn't know or care currently about that. All he currently cared about was watching his new daughter play with her siblings.

Bardiel–The Son of Haze

-Clouds (an accumulation of gas) were an interesting concept for Adam, so what if he made a sentient cloud?

-A spore cloud was a cloud of spores (infectious parasites); he would take it for Bardiel's creation.

-haze was a weather condition made by the accumulation of gas. Was it like a cloud?

Bardiel was the perfect parasite...he feels bad for calling him that.

With the camouflage of being a cloud, which Adam heard there were many of, and the ability of infection and possession, Bardiel truly had no equal.

Bardiel in the mind realm, like many before, just wandered and interacted with the others.

Being a sentient cloud had benefits to Bardiel, mainly irrelevant things, but it still made Bardiel happy.

As Adam looked at Bardiel and then at his entire little family, he thought of something: "What if I can't protect them?"

What if when he exits this place there are threats everywhere? He can't be everywhere to protect them.

So Adam determinedly decided that the next child of his would be there to protect his siblings.

Zeruel–The Son of Strength

-All of Adam's knowledge on fighting

Zeruel was a perfection of combat.

Zeruel's body was sturdier than even his own.

He made Zeruel's arms foldable and sharper than anything he had seen, so when he entered combat, he could unfold them at high speeds to instantly kill them.

Zeruel was also a prodigy at the Light of the Soul, easily learning the barrier technique and even making one of his own, the CROSS BEAM, a beam of pure energy from the soul that pierces a large area.

Zeruel was...different when entering the mind realm. He just stood in place and looked at him the entire time; it's not like he can't do things except look like Sandalphon or just observe like Sahaquiel; he just stood there and waited.

Eventually Zeruel started to walk and interact with the others until he came in front of me and did something very interesting.

"Who was the oldest among us?"

He asked me a question, a pure sign of emotion.

I was so extremely startled by that that I literally fell on the floor.

When I got my emotions together and got up from the floor, I told him that his oldest sibling here is Sachiel, but his actual oldest sibling is ???????? and his whereabouts were unknown.

After I said that, Zeruel went to Sachiel and started...to teach him?

Adam remembered a quote from the Lilum: "The oldest siblings are lifelong mentors and protectors to the younger ones." Did he imprint that quote on Zeruel like he did with the creation of his other children?

Adam just watched as Zeruel taught Sachiel how to use his IMPACT LANCES better for combat and, to Adam's surprise, how to use the CROSS BEAM.

Zeruel was teaching Sachiel how to be a protector like him, and he was succeeding.

Adam then told Zeruel to teach his other siblings how to protect themselves properly since he was a way better combat teacher than Adam.

Adam was 100% sure that Zeruel could only be defeated by Seeds of Life and nothing else, but when would that ever happen?

Arael–The Daughter of Birds

-birds were beings of freedom from Adam's knowledge. A being that can go wherever it wishes by just fluttering its wings.

A very simple idea Adam had for Arael: the freedom of a bird.

He would only create a body for her and nothing else.

He already proved Zeruel has 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 by asking a question; now he wanted to recreate that with Arael.

Inside the mind realm, Arael was mostly in the sky learning to control herself with the help of Sahaquiel and on the ground learning the barrier technique from Zeruel. After some time something interesting happened.

Arael found another way to use the Light of the Soul.

Her way of use was to make it a concatenated invisible beam to enter someone's mind and access their memories.

An interesting power, but it needed to be used to see the full potential.

So he allowed Arael to use the ability on him.

He felt all of his past feelings in a single moment; it was an experience...he didn't know how to describe it differently.

After it ended, he noticed Arael was...different.

Arael was moving around frantically and spinning in circles.

Was she feeling 𝗷𝗼𝘆?

Did she feel everything he felt?!

If that were true, then she could teach others the mind beam to also feel emotion!...but it would only be limited to his already known emotion.

He had to figure out how to get more emotion.

Armisael–The Daughter of Womb

-What if he made a being that could become one with another being, experiencing all that they felt?

-The shape would be of a ring, a culturally significant item for Lilum's lovers to later become pregnant.

Armisael's whole point was to become one with someone else; currently she was an empty shell. She didn't even have a proper core; only the thought of becoming one was engraved in her mind, with the exception of her siblings and her father. Adam couldn't risk the death of even one of his children.

Tabris–The Son Of Free Will

-What if he made himself?

Tabris would be his, as the Lilum call it, masterpiece.

He would be a clone of Adam himself; the only difference would be his body would be the color black, and he would not possess the Fruit of Life.

Tabris would possess a part of Adam's soul in him.

And for the finishing touch, Tabris would be perfect for Adam to alter his shape so when they get out of the mind realm, he could explore the world of Lilum and experience other emotions.

Tabris only had one of Adam's emotions; it was 𝗷𝗼𝘆.

In the mind realm Tabris observed his siblings more than Sahaquiel, and he observed them with a smile on his face. Adam knew from that that Tabris loved his siblings just like he did. He knew that Tabris would die for them if it were needed, because he too would die for his kid's.

Adam and Tabris talked and talked about stuff. What Tabris was especially interested about was ???????? and his location. Adam didn't know if ???????? was even alive, but that doesn't mean he would give up hope.

Adam had finally made all of his children, and it was about time. The Lilum has removed 99.54% of the spear, and he would have no excuse to be there anymore.

Apparently, they would perform the Katsuragi expedition to fully remove the Spear, but some Lilum had lied to the others, saying that they would be trying to use human DNA (whatever that meant) to initiate contact with him.

It would be the perfect time to get out of the White Moon, to finally find ???????? and talk to Lilith so he can negotiate about his current situation and maybe even contact F.A.R.

But that would all change when the Katsuragi expedition actually started.

When the Katsuragi expedition started, the Lilum were swarming him and moving some objects to him; they had some writing on them: "N2." He didn't know what that meant.

They were also removing the spear slowly, and after a long time they pulled it all out.

I stood perfectly in place as I looked at the Lilum run away and the metal carrying the spear at fast speed.

Adam didn't know what was happening, so he continued to stand in place.

Then he moved a finger.

Then I hurt.

Blue blood was coming out of him before he pulled the blood back inside him and healed himself with his core.

This entire time the Lilum were trying to steal the spear and kill him?!

Was this Lilith's plan?!

Adam couldn't stand for that; they almost killed his children inside of him.

Adam felt 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.

Adam released his Light of the Soul; he heard a voice say something about an AT field or something similar, but he could care less about that. These beings tried to kill him and, in the process, his children as well!!!

Adam used his light to make them into physical wings, but before he could do what he wanted to do, he stopped and looked at something.

A Lilum carrying a smaller Lilum into a capsule, a father trying to save his daughter.

He stopped for a bit and looked at them. He could sympathize with the father; after all, he would also sacrifice himself for his child.

Adam waited for the Lilum to put his daughter into the capsule; he didn't think the Lilum would die immediately after that. At least the lilum died with the assurance of his daughter's safety.

Adam's 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 that had been suppressed immediately came back.

His wing's fully there, a symbol of freedom like Arael; he entered the sky and did something he shouldn't.

He released a giant wave of his light that traversed the entire world, marking each and every Lilum as his enemy.

As he looked down at his white moon, his 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 ended immediately.

He made a giant explosion that melted the material around the moon. His calculations would destroy so many innocent lives out there that did nothing to him. He had to reverse it with his light of the soul, but before he could, he was interrupted.

The spear came rushing at him and damaged his core.

He couldn't care how or why that happened, because only one thought was on his mind.

"My children!"

Adam's mind realm was collapsing, and his children were in disarray.

Adam entered his mind realm and immediately told Leliel to transport herself and her siblings out of here; they would all die if they stayed.

Adam could feel the Spear ready to be launched at him again, so time was something he didn't have.

Tabris asked him, "What about you, Father?" In a concerned voice.

"I will die here while you guys escape. Go find Lilith or a different world to inhabit while I stay here. "Go, Tabris, and protect them!" He told him.

Tabris looked at his father with a look of surprise. "Understood, Father."

Adam could feel the spear coming at him at high speeds; his last thoughts were "I'm sorry, my children. I'm sorry ????????"

But those weren't his last thoughts. Why? Because Tabris is the son of free will.

Tabris exited Adam's mind realm and entered the real world to take the hit for Adam.

Adam stood there in shock as he saw his child take the spear hit for him, piercing his core.

"Tabris!!!!!!!!" Adam yelled at the fall of his child. The Lilum across the world couldn't understand what he had said, so they only heard an extremely loud cry.

All of his children in the mind realm already left through Leliel's dimensions with the time given from Tabris's sacrifice.

Adam 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 himself. He was so useless when he was needed that his own son died for his sake.

What kind of father was that?

Adam knew that the Spear was being readied to attack him again, so he decided to enter deep sleep again, but this time by transforming himself into an embryo-like Sandalphon.

Adam's last thoughts before losing consciousness were "I'm sorry, Tabris."

When Adam woke up, he found himself inside a glass case inside what he thought was a suitcase.

Was he being brought somewhere?

He was a mess mentally because of Tabris's sacrifice.

He could feel Gaghiel somewhere outside. Was he trying to save him?

But he could also feel the Lilums around him and...a clone of him?!?!

How?!

That shouldn't be possible! And why didn't they give the clone a proper core? With a proper one, they could regenerate infinitely until it was broken. And even worse, the improper core had the soul of a Lilum in it that wasn't doing anything, while 2 other Lilum were controlling it!

What was this madness?!

Was this why they attacked him?! To get a weapon of mass destruction?!

For F.A.R.'s sake, he couldn't understand Lilum's.

Although he did feel familiarity with one of the Lilum controlling the copy.

Gaghiel died, he could feel his soul going away.

Adam wanted to cry, but he physically couldn't in his embryonic state.

"It's all my fault," he thought.

When he was finally freed from the suitcase, he saw a Lilum with glasses looking at him. Adam felt like he knew Lilum from somewhere but couldn't remember him.

Adam was implanted on Lilum's hand. Why? He didn't know.

He was bound to a Lilum, and he didn't like it.

What were the scrolls?!

He heard from the meeting that the Lilum he was attached to had the scroll's prophecy: THE END OF THE WORLD! And these idiots wanted that to happen because they think they can control it?!

They say it's for "evolution," but everybody can see they are just playing F.A.R.!

Even Armisael is smarter than them.

After the meeting, Adam used his light to astral project himself to look around this place. His astral projection was small, the size of a lilium, and he couldn't interact with anything or communicate with anyone.

Well, technically. ???????? could see him because of his title, but that was a long shot and borderline impossible. He was probably dead like Gaghiel.

Poor Gaghiel.

Adam explored the base called NERV, which was actually the Black Moon, used as a base like his White Moon. Inside he saw many Lilum walking and talking around, of course not seeing the white being with blue eyes walking among them.

He saw more surprises around the base.

They had another clone of him?! And a clone of Lilith?!

This was bad; his children couldn't match up to their forces if they went one by one like the scroll said.

The panic quickly went away when he saw that they didn't have proper cores. That meant his children had a chance.

As he explored deeper into the base, he saw more and more atrocities.

A place entirely filled with dead clones of him?! He was disgusted by it.

A place filled with a half-Lilum, half-Lilith being?!

They were trying to copy Tabris's creation by using the same method!

The Tabris copy had many bodies, but those bodies didn't have souls; only the ones active had the soul, so there were many useless backups just because the copy didn't have a core.

What he saw at the end made him even more sick.

He saw Lilith impaled on a cross with his Spear of Longinus with her blood coming out of her.

That's why they needed the Spear, to make Lilith bleed and get access to her blood. Her Fruit of Knowledge.

He hated the Lilum that did this.

Even though Lilith wasn't conscious and couldn't possibly hear him, he said two words to her.

"I'm sorry."

Then he went back up to NERV's upper floor.

This all was his fault.

The Lilum probably weren't made by Lilith directly; they were more probably made by her blood coming out of her when he impaled her oh so long ago.

It was his fault that Lilum was created.

It was his fault for Gaghiel's death.

It was his fault for Tabris's sacrifice.

It was his fault for ???????? existence.

It was all his fault!

He continued to walk around the halls of NERV, ignoring everything around him because of his self-loathing.

"W-what are you?" he heard from his back while walking through one of the halls.

When Adam turned around, he saw a Lilum looking at him.

How?!?!

That shouldn't be possible!

Unless.

He looked at the Lilum's eyes and saw their color. The same dark blue as his.

"Azathoth?"

????????—The Son Of ????

A?a?h?t? -The Son Of S?u?

Azathoth: The Son of Soul

Shinji Ikari: The Son of Soul

Shinji walked through the NERV hall; he had just finished a sync test and was going to go back home.

As he was walking through the halls, he stopped when he saw something.

A white being is walking down the hall.

"W-what are you?*

He asked for the thing.

The thing turned around and looked at him with its dark blue eyes, so similar to his.

"Azathoth?"

Shinji just stared at the thing; that name felt so familiar, but he didn't know why.

Suddenly the thing came rushing at him. Shinji lifted his arms in defense and was ready to scream, but the thing didn't attack him.

It was hugging him.

It was crying.

The thing hugged him deeply and was saying "sorry" over and over again, and for some reason, Shinji felt the urge to hug back.

In that instance, he got transported to a green field.

The white being stopped hugging him, went to a spot, and patted the ground next to him.

There were other beings around him, things that looked like angels; he fought and...were those the angels he killed?!

Sure enough, Shinji saw the dark green bony angel, the pink electric whip angel, the prism-looking angel, and the fish angel, all there with others around them.

As Shinji approached the white being, he asked it, "Are you guys angels?"

The thing replied, "That's what you Lilum call us."

Shinji was surprised at the honesty of the being but was also confused on what Lilums were. "Why are you guys trying to end the world?"

"We are not."

"...what is your name?"

"Adam, yours?"

The first angel!?!? "...Shinji Ikari."

"Do you mind being called Azathoth?"

Shinji was about to quickly answer "yes" before he actually thought about it.

"Why?"

"Personal reasons."

"...I don't mind."

"Ok, Azathoth, now will you finally sit next to me?"

Shinji hesitated. Why would he lower his defense that much to an angel?! But that train of thought stopped when he heard Adam say something.

"Please."

That made Shinji's bad thoughts of Adam disappear completely. Instead of forcing him with peer pressure and the death of humanity on his shoulders to do something he doesn't want, Adam was asking him nicely to do something he could refuse.

So Shinji decided to sit next to Adam.

Then everyone around him changed.

Every angel around him, including Adam, was glowing and being altered in some way.

After the glow ended, Shinji looked dumbstruck.

The dark green-skinned angel he fought first transformed into a male human with dark green hair, dark green clothes, gills over some locations, and bones protruding out the back of his hands.

The pink one transformed into another male human with pink hair, baggy clothes, 2 headpieces, and wobbling arms.

The prism one transformed into a blue-haired girl in a school uniform, floating around while altering her body.

The fish one became a giant male brute with beige hair, marine-like clothes, and also with gills like the first.

The blue and red yin-yang face one became 2 girls with golden and silver hair, one looking ready to dance while the other is ready to sing.

The weird embryo became a tiny kid with gray hair and childlike clothes.

The multi-eyed spider became a shy-looking schoolgirl with black hair; the other eyes she had were scattered around her body like tattoos.

The giant eye became a fancy guy in an orange suit with only one eye on his face.

Most of the tiny red beings became a large woman with 3 eyes and mechanical add-ons.

The black and white ball became a woman with a full-body zebra-patterned outfit that left little to the imagination; the woman also had gray hair.

The sentient cloud became a boy exactly like him; the only difference is that the boy's veins were bulging.

The thing with folded arms became a librarian-looking guy, with glasses and even a tie.

The one with ethereal wings became a girl with white hair, covered in white clothes, and kept her wings.

The white ring became a girl that looked like a combination of Rei and him.

The black being that resembles Adam became a boy with gray hair and had a school uniform.

And finally Adam looked like the previous one, just older and with white hair.

And across all of them, one thing was shared.

They all had the same eye color.

"Wow. They became human."

"They did not, Azathoth."

"What do you mean?"

"These are the Lilum models I made for them, if it was needed. You see, our kind cannot feel emotion, while your kind can. My plan was to put my children's souls into these Lilum bodies so they can experience emotions.

"...the angels here aren't real, right?"

"...correct, they are just an illusion, just like this whole place we are in."

"Do you hate me for killing your kids?"

"Plural?"

"...yes, I killed the dark green-skinned one, the pink one, the prism, and the fish."

".........Why?"

"I'm sorry."

"Why Azathoth?"

"I'm sorry!."

"Why?!"

"Because I don't want humanity to die!"

Adam then got up in a rage and used Arael's mind reading power to experience why Azathoth did that.

That would be Adam's second biggest mistake of his life.

He felt ALL 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Azathoth went through.

𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, and especially 𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 were all around Adam's mind.

He wasn't aware of Shinji screaming to make it stop while convulsing on the floor, crying.

Adam felt Yui dying, Gendo abandoning, Uncle ignoring, etc.

Adam felt his son's pain.

Adam saw his son's misery.

"Azathoth is a victim of everyone...even me."

As Adam stopped his Arael ability, he noticed the state he left Azathoth in.

What had he done?

He assaulted his child's mind and broke him in the process.

What kind of monster was he?!

The illusion world began to crumble now that Azathoth wasn't in the right mind state.

Adam quickly used the Arael beam again on Azathoth, but this time he reversed the Light of the Soul so that he could manipulate his memories.

He removed Azathoth's memory of ever meeting and interacting with him.

As Adam looked at an unconscious Azathoth slumped over in a NERV hall, he decided to leave the astral projection form; he was almost out of available energy since he couldn't use his broken core to fuel himself. He could take energy from his children...but he had no right to do so.

One final sentence to Azathoth: "I'm sorry that I created you, son."

Adam watched and heard from Lilum's hand how his other children were killed by Azathoth. As specified in the scroll.

Adam wanted to save them, but how could he? He was stuck to a Lilum and couldn't acquire energy unless he stole it from Azathoth.

What kind of savior is he to his kids while they are out there dying for him?

There was only one thing Adam could save.

His tears.
