Summary
The first time he channeled Corruption, it almost killed him. Gravitational wings had ripped gaping holes into his back. He bled from every orifice. Pain announced itself in silent screams, his body contorting and folding in on itself to try and find some sort of relief.
The experiments detailed by N had been true, after all, but how much was intended and how much was a mutation past the point of no return? Only time would tell from then on—a mere few months later when Chuuya activated Corruption during the Dragon’s Head Conflict and told Dazai to get back and not to interfere whatsoever, that he needed to do this, and the result was still as taxing on his body and caused him to pass out shortly after, head on lap and a hand in his hair as Dazai wondered if it would happen again and if Chuuya would almost kill him this time.
Or, Dazai grapples with the responsibility of looking after Chuuya after Shibusawa's global threat forces Corruption and triggers a deadly rut that could kill Chuuya, unless, of course, Dazai has a final trick up his sleeve.
