One-Sided Hatred (Is Bound to Break Eventually)

Summary:

“Uh..” Dream couldn’t exactly decline him, could he? He was the student councils president! He is supposed to be the perfect example! He’d just have to think of an excuse not to go. And so Dream opened his mouth.. “My mom wa—“

“Your mom doesn’t care!”

———

Dream ‘hates’ Ink. Ink thinks they’re best friends and maybe soon they’ll be more.

(This is my first fanfic ever. English is my third language and the story is maybe gonna have grammar problems. I SWEAR I’m trying to get better at writing.)

I feel like Vivziepop because the first sentence has a curse word.

Chapter 1: Unsolicited Company

Chapter Text

Oh, how much Dream hates this fucking school.

The classroom was loud. Really loud. Filled with student who probably didn’t even wanna go here or are just stupid. Everybody’s talking while the teacher is just sipping on their fifth cup of coffee!

The continuous throwing of paper balls against his head was really getting on his nerves. Dream’s eyes just twitched as he tried to focus on the sheet of paper on his desk instead of the menace sitting behind him.

“Dream. Dream. Dream.” The voice rang in the middle of the already chaotic classroom full of students NOT doing their work. Like it wasn’t already enough for the teacher to deal with the other students.

“Why are you even doing the work? The teacher doesn’t care if you do it or not.” Ink asked.

“Well I do.” Dream replied turning his body to the side to finally acknowledge Ink’s existence.

How did Ink even become the student council’s Vice President!? He wasn’t fit for it. He was forgetful and messy and..

“You free after school?” Ink interrupted Dream’s internal dialogue. Completely leaning over his desk, and picking up one of the paper balls he threw at Dream moments before. Ink leaned back into his chair, opening the paper up.

‘You wanna hang out after school?’ Was written on the paper. Dream looked down at the floor filled with those paper balls.

How many times did he write that..?

“Uh..” Dream couldn’t exactly decline him, could he? He was the student councils president! He is supposed to be the perfect example! He’d just have to think of an excuse not to go. And so Dream opened his mouth.. “My mom wa—“

“Your mom doesn’t care!” Ink answered before Dream could finish his excuse. That kind of came out much meaner than Ink probably meant it.

Dream stayed silent for a second, frowning. Okay.. his mom, Nim, was actually absent.. a lot. Dream sighed. “Fine.. What do you even want to do?” Dream asked.

“I don’t know!” Ink grinned at Dream.

Dream really didn’t know if he could keep up with Ink any longer.. “Alright..” Dream mumbled exhausted as the bell rang and the whole classroom ran out. Pretty understandable considering it was the last period. Finally some free-time.. that Dream is NOT gonna get. He’s stuck with Ink.

Ink jumped up from his seat. Standing there and staring, subconsciously breathing down Dream’s neck as Dream packed his stuff up.  “We could probably go to your house.” Ink suggested while they made their way out of the classroom.

Dream raised his eyebrow. “My house? N–“

“Well, that awesome!” Ink just decided to invite himself.
