    Mephistopheles lifts his sword again, determined to end the intruders' lives in a splatter along the marble. Finally reaching his goal, Enver slides into the shield just as the sword comes heavily down, cracking the spell around him and Sceleritas. He pushes to his feet and thrusts the crown into the fiend’s chest.

    “GO.” Enver commands.

    The Bhaalist butler hesitates, his eyes darting uneasily from the man, to his master at the end of the hall, back to the man.

    “GO!” Enver barks again, “I’VE GOT HER.” The sword lifts above them again.
