Summary
They say the rising tide lifts all ships. Samuel was no more than the assistant to the man who was actually in charge of negotiating a treaty between humans, oni and zenko. Yet, precisely because he hopes for the tide to lift his own fortunes, his nervousness ahead of the banquet where the treaty will finally be signed reaches great heights.
He is anxious for things to go smoothly, yet worries whether a certain zenko princess will derail things and force him into a compromising situation. He has no idea that the princess is not the only one who is going to be eyeing him up.
