Chapter Text
Dalton takes care of Logan very well, he bathes him, changes his diapers and makes sure he always stays clean. If Logan uses his diaper, Dalton changes it immediately. But there is one thing Logan has a problem with: food. When he eats one bite, he freaks out and says he’s going to throw up. Dalton tries to help Logan keep it down, but most of the time he can’t and Logan ends up throwing up on the floor. It almost happened before daycare. “Dally, please no breakfast.” Logan whines at Dalton, looking at his waffles. “I’m sorry, Logie, but you need food.” Dalton responds, sitting down beside Logan and rubbing his back. “But I’m gonna frow up, Dallyyy.” Logan starts to cry, Dalton feels bad. “No you’re not, but if you do, I’ll clean it up. I promise.” Dalton cuts the waffles up and offers a piece to Logan.
“Just one piece, Logie?” Dalton holds it to Logan’s mouth and Logan shakes his head. “No Dally, please no.” Dalton strokes Logan’s hair. “Come on, Logan.” The American little shakes his head and Dalton gets up, putting the fork on the plate, he opens the fridge and takes out some syrup. He puts some over the waffles, he knows that Logan would not pass up waffles with syrup for the world. Then he sits down again. He holds the fork up again and Logan hesitantly takes it. “Good job, Logie.” Dalton smiles, Logan wants to throw up but he holds it down. “Okay, do you want any more?” Logan shakes his head but looks at a juice box. “Do you want juice?” Logan nods. “Yeah.”
Dalton stands up and goes to get it, he punches a hole in it wih the straw and gives it to Logan. “Let’s get your stuff ready for daycare.” Dalton says, helping Logan up. Logan watches Dalton put things in his backpack. It’s the usual pacifier in a case, three diapers since Logan doesn’t go much, his water bottle, his stuffed goat named William, and a snack just in case. “Okay, let’s go to daycare.” Logan finishes his juice box and Dalton throws it away. “Can I use scooter?” Logan asks, Dalton nods. At the daycare center, Logan parks the scooter and walks inside with Dalton. “I’m here to sign Logan Sargeant in as present.” Dalton says, the lady behind the desk nods. “Okay! Welcome back Logan, we’re happy to have you!”
Logan wanders through the gate after Dalton says bye and hangs Logan’s backpack on his hook. Then comes the lunchtime, Logan is not keen on eating. But it’s pancakes, Logan is supposed to like pancakes! He stares at the pancake on his plate, he looks at those around him, Lando seems to want it, Logan pushes his plate to Lando and before Lando can do anything, Pierre speaks up. “No Lando, we don’t do that.” The Brit looks up. “But he offered it to me!” He whines. “Give it back to Logan.” Lando sighs and pushes the plate back to Logan. “Sorey. I can’t help.” Lando whispers. At the playground, Logan sits away from everyone, he watches the other littles play. He has done this every outside time because he doesn’t want to be near other littles for some reason.
Then Jack rushes to the slide and climbs up it, Logan has seen Jack climb up the slide many times, not bothering the stairs. “Hi!” Jack sits down in front of Logan. “Hi Jackie.” Logan waves shyly. “Do you want to play with me by the water tables?” Jack asks, he always asks. “I don’t wanna.” Logan whines, pulling his legs up to his chest. “Come on, Lo, is gonna be fun! I got your favorite boat too.” Jack takes a blue plastic boat from his pocket, he took it from a water table before anyone else could take it, and his pockets got a little wet. “Okay.” Jack lights up and he slides down the slide on his stomach. Logan slides down normally, and then they rush to their favorite water table, the Mountain Lake Water one.
They play until Dalton comes to pick Logan up and Kimi and Valtteri have come to pick Jack up, Logan has to be picked up because Dalton has made a doctor’s appointment for Logan. Outside, Logan gets on his scooter. “Where are we going, Dally?” Logan asks. “We’re going to the doctor, I just can’t stand seeing you like this, we have to know what’s going on.” Dalton grabs the steering thing and leads him towards their home. This’ll be kind of scary for Logan.
