When Danny got his quirk – Decay; whatever he touches with all five fingers turns to ash – he felt as if his life was ending. Then again, as a four year old, every slight inconvenience looks appears to be the end of the world.
But calling Decay in inconvenience is… a choice. With Decay, he had to be careful how he touches things – albeit Jazz figured out that artist’s gloves helped. They blocked three fingers and – most of the time – only made contact woth three: they rendered his quirk useless, allowing him to life normally.
As normal as one can when 80% of the population have some special and unique power.
However when he was a teen, he realized his quirk wasn’t that unique. News from Japan reached the US, about a villain with the same quirk.
Two unrelated people having similar or the same quirks aren’t unheard of: there are so many people with fire or strength quirks who are not related.
But it was still… odd seeing someone with the same quirk. Especially someone like Tomura Shigaraki, an edge lord villain with a hand fetish, judging by his villainous get up.
But a year later… the hand job was a total demon.
After watching the most recent news of the war in Japan, Danny eyed his hands and then Shigaraki again – or what remained of the villain.
Flexing his hand, he wondered if this is just another sign he could slip and become like Dan...
