"I will not let you hurt my friends!" That voice, proud and determined synthetic voice rang in Cole's ear. He wanted to help, so much. He begged every deity he knew just to have the love of his life back. He was guilty of himself that he didn't do anything to stop Zane, but it was Zane's choice too. The choice to put everyone else over him that resulted in his death. Cole sniffled and sobbed quietly, sitting on the corner of his room with his knees up to his chest.

He wore Zane's old freshly-washed white gi, the one Zane himself couldn't wear. But Cole felt he was there, like his scent was still there. He fidgeted on the ice emblem, looking at it while his own tears falling down and dripping off his chin. "I'm sorry.. I'm sorry for not saving you.." He cried out. His mind was so messy, jumbling up everywhere with guilty driven thoughts and questions that was left unanswered. Cole frowned and wiped out his tears. "I'm- I.. I didn't get to say.. goodbye.. Please.." Zane's sudden choice and death left everyone no chance to say bye. Cole was most saddened about it. He really loved Zane, no matter what he was made of. Human or not, he doesn't care. He truly loved him to the depths of his heart, and he didn't get the chance to say goodbye.

Cole stood up slowly, picking himself up and holding the dresser beside him for support. He was so so messed up, Cole wasn't his own self anymore. He couldn't feel anymore of his past personality, he didn't feel anything.. really. Like the world's colors were sucked out immediately. The world felt... nothing. Void. Cole stumbled on his feet as he walked in the dark halls, his footsteps echoing against the wood of the monastery floors. He gently reached for Zane's room door, sliding it open to see the cleanly made bed. It was already tidied up before their recent mission, with how Zane was known to be the "responsible one" in the monastery. He cooked for everyone, made dinner, cleaned the halls and everything what not.

Cole missed the taste of Zane's daily dinners. The taste of his bakings. The taste of the cakes he would make for Cole. He felt so uneasy at the thought, Cole just sobbed and slammed himself onto Zane's made bed. The smell of fresh laundry filled up Cole's nose, it was really recently washed. The blue colors and accents lined the room, and the moonlight shining through the small gaps of the windows. He looked over the corner to see Zane's shurikens, still untouched and dusty. He took one and looked at how it shined, seeing his reflection on the metal. His eyes widened looking at the state of his face. Tear-swollen eyes, nose still sniffling and traces of tears on his cheeks. It really proves how Cole is very devastated for Zane.

He threw back the shuriken in the box, disgusted by his own reflection. He walked back to the now messy bed, laying back in it and smelling the fresh scent. "I... I miss you. Please..." He begged, clasping both of his arms and placing it on his chest. "I- I love you.. I'm sorry." He stammered shakily, tears pooling in his eyes as his voice became a stuttering mess. "Z- Zane.. Why- Why did you do this to me...? Why are you so.. stupidly selfless? I love you, you know?"

Cole sighed. He was talking like Zane would hear him. Was there even a chance for him to come back? Zane's dead and he's over. Cole curled up on the sheets, hugging his knees as he continued to sob quietly, his voice echoing in the empty room. He reimagined all the memories he had with Cole, how he always loved him too. How he always admired his intelligence and smarts. God, he missed that man so much. Did Zane even knew he was madly in love? Did he even take the hint? Cole questioned in his mind, answers not coming anytime soon. Fidgeting with his own sleeves, he drove himself into a deep sleep, sleeping in purely Zane's scent.
