Summary
A car crash. Fire. And a murderous mimic, stealing the schematics that Arnold was supposed to retrieve.
If he died here, then that wouldn’t be so bad. Fazbear couldn’t sue him for misplacing company property. He wouldn’t need to worry about his truck being repossessed. Most alluringly, he’d be able to sleep for as long as he wanted; that being forever.
Unfortunately for Arnold, he wakes up in the hospital. Cold, and oddly unrested for how long he must have been passed out.
And even worse, his dispatcher was in the room with him, prattling off the “offer of a lifetime” he was clearly expecting Arnold to take up. Looks like Fazbear Entertainment wasn’t done with the technician just yet.

Summary
Michael Afton has a good relationship with his father. That's what he wants to have, anyway.
But Father is always out of the house, at work. Or sleeping. The times when he is present aren't that good, either, but he likes to think they are.
In his place, Michael Afton is a good older brother.
Or at least, he tries to be.
Elizabeth and Dave need somebody to watch them, after all.

Summary
Dispatch hates romance movies. And yet, he sat through one to spend time with Arnold. The time spent together was worth it. The heat creeping at his skin and trailing fingers down his back definitely wasn't.
Drew tries to focus on his work and not the nagging feeling of disgust that he knows has no logical source. Arnold asks to turn up the thermostat. The two of them talk about fireplaces, jackets, and old friends gone by.

He couldn't get the image of his brother's crushed skull out of his mind; indented and mangled in a way that no bone should be. He wasn't moving. Michael could hear the wails of the ambulance outside, but knew deep down it would do no good.
Dave was dead.

Genesis 25:29-34, NIV:
Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!”
Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.”
“Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?”
But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left.So Esau despised his birthright.

Arnold barely survives his encounter with the mimic and makes it back to HQ. Apparently, Fazbear Entertainment is willing to go further than he thought in order to ensure his silence about his previous shift.

Actually study this to understand what being on the receiving end of corporate sadism is. THIS IS SO GOOD I JUST- I'M GNAWING ON THE CONCEPT AND THE WAY IT WAS PORTRAYED /vpos
Arnold wakes up from a coma and is on the verge of dying of thirst and Dispatch just. Watches him. With a cup of water. Telling him to sign the papers to keep him ensnared at his job. And every time Arnold tries to beg for his life Dispatch only weaves around his pleas and asks him to sign again. I just- my God. I need to read this again when I'm actually well rested (At the time of writing, I have gotten.. what, three hours? And it's been nearly.. 24 since I last slept? I'm too tired to do the math right. I'll go get my normal, strings-unattached glass of water, take a nap, and reread this later.)
