Zhongli eats a rock in public. Childe is distraught over the fact his money has been going down the drain for the world's most expensive form of snacks and barely remembers to mind the fact that Zhongli likely isn't human as a result.

He couldn't get the image of his brother's crushed skull out of his mind; indented and mangled in a way that no bone should be. He wasn't moving. Michael could hear the wails of the ambulance outside, but knew deep down it would do no good.

    Dave was dead.
Dave was dead, and Michael killed him.

    Genesis 25:29-34, NIV:

Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!”
Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.”
“Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?”
But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left.

    So Esau despised his birthright.

Actually study this to understand what being on the receiving end of corporate sadism is. THIS IS SO GOOD I JUST- I'M GNAWING ON THE CONCEPT AND THE WAY IT WAS PORTRAYED /vpos
Arnold wakes up from a coma and is on the verge of dying of thirst and Dispatch just. Watches him. With a cup of water. Telling him to sign the papers to keep him ensnared at his job. And every time Arnold tries to beg for his life Dispatch only weaves around his pleas and asks him to sign again. I just- my God. I need to read this again when I'm actually well rested (At the time of writing, I have gotten.. what, three hours? And it's been nearly.. 24 since I last slept? I'm too tired to do the math right. I'll go get my normal, strings-unattached glass of water, take a nap, and reread this later.)
