Work Text:
Startled, he woke up. His eyes flew open as he inhaled sharply. It's been many days. Still, the sight hasn't faded from his memory. It comes back while he is sleeping, haunting nightmares which left him sleepless for nights.
It is very loud outside. Thunders and lightnings flying here and there, all across the deep blue night sky. The shooting white light piercing in through the black curtains of the Heavens, like the pain and agony slicing into his heart. A little calm and peace were all that he longed for but they felt distant; unreachable for his desperate, extended arm.
The loud of the thunder banging at the doors of his heart, threatening to shatter it unless he opened. The lightning rushing around wretchedly as if frantically searching for her long-lost partner: screaming out the misery and helplessness but swearing to never stop until he was found.
The dire state of anguish tearing apart the man from inside, he seemed to never be able to break free from the torment.
