Summary
Delilah is finding it hard to settle after leaving the circus. It was safer there. Better there. Though she knew her other circus friends would disagree.
She missed 'Jax', and their late night talks, and often thought of what he was doing, if he was okay, and what he'd look like in the real world. What any of her friends would look like in the real world.
She would've happily kept Caine company until the program shut down, but unfortunately, she had to sacrifice her happiness to make everyone else happy. She'd do it again though, for her friends.
For two weeks after returning to the real world, she lived on the streets, hiding out in alleyways and sleeping in store doorways, trying to stay dry under their canopy's. Then, she was recognised by the police from a missing persons poster, and returned to the care of her abusive father.
Now she was stuck recieving merciless beatings, and being treated like shit on the bottom of his shoe. Worthless. Unwanted. Will life get better for Delilah? Or is she stuck to be miserable living with an abusive father who attempts to isolate her from the rest of world.
