Noel Gruber, the unofficial “most romantic boy in town,” has always wanted to find love.
Unfortunately for him, he’s a gay teen in Uranium City. Not many options with an aging population of 2,500.
But alas, the heart does what the heart wants. In middle school, he tried to find love. He managed to make a routine out of it: crush, confession, rejection, repeat. But after the third rejection, he learned to hide it, his dreams of romance forced to remain dreams rather than become reality. It made things a little more bearable for him.
And it was just miserable. Having to keep all of the love that he had to give just…trapped inside. He hated it in Uranium. He hated his piece of shit mom yelling at him for painting his nails. He hated Father Marcus’s constant nagging about how he’d come around and settle down with a nice woman one day. He hated the constant scorn and silent whispers from his peers as he walked through the hallways.
But when a new face shows up out of the blue, Noel finds that perhaps this hellscape might have an oasis worth staying for.
(Updates inconsistent, but I really love this story and I WILL finish it even if it kills me.)
