“Hey, Vee,” Velvette swallows a chunk of steamed broccoli. “Have you seen Val recently?”
Vox shakes his head before breaking an egg roll in half. “No. He’s been holed up in his room for most of the day. After Angel left, he cancelled the rest of production for his new film and told me he was going to lie down.”
Velvette feels her right eye begin to twitch. Of course Vox would be absorbed in his work while Val is having an existential crisis. The fucking idiot should count his lucky stars that her arms aren’t long enough for her to be able to reach across the table and smack some sense into him.
