   Summary

   Jo blearily looks around and then at the clock, still trying to clear his mind from the edges of sleep: it's later than he expected, the sun not yet risen but close on its way, the faint light of dawn barely allowing him to make sense of the shadows in the room.

   The sound of footsteps inches closer and Jo holds his breath, eyes fixed on the strip of light coming from the narrow gap left by the open door. It doesn't take long for Yudai to get there, unmistakable shadow lingering at the entrance, hand hovering over the knob.
