Today was the day. You and Basch have been together for almost two years, and your journal was full. The journal, full of the times that Basch had shown any form of affection towards you, was finally finished. Today is the day that you got to show the journal to him.
‘How would I even bring up the topic though? “Hey, I hope you know, I've been documenting every time you showed affection to me, here, have a look.” No, that sounds stupid..’ You thought to yourself.
You heard the office door creak open. You quickly slammed the journal shut, emitting a short but decently loud thunk sound. Basch peeked his head in, and once he saw you, he went back out, closing the door. You let out a sigh before opening the journal again, going over all the moments that you even put the date on. The door creaked open again, but you were too absorbed in reading over the journal to notice. Basch had managed to sneak himself up behind you, and stared at what you were reading. The second you felt a presence, you shut the journal and turned around, just to be greeted with Basch staring at you.
“What..was that,” He inquired, his face turning the lightest shade of pink out of embarrassment, “did you write down every time I did that stuff..?” Oh. He read it. You sheepishly nodded your head as you slowly slid the journal off the office desk and into your hands. You tightly gripped it before handing it to him.
“I wanted to give it to you. I promised myself that once it got full, I would show it to you, and even let you keep it. You don’t have to look through it, but it would make me happy if you did.” Basch stared at you, then the book, then you again before hesitantly opening it to the first page. “..It even has the date of when this stuff happened..” He stated. You nodded your head in response,”Yes, I wanted to make sure the date that any of this happened on wasn’t forgotten.” He gave you a small smile and leaned down to give you a small peck on the cheek. This is going down in my second journal, You giggled to yourself. He looked at you curiously. “Why are you giggling like that,” He started, “You almost never giggle when I do that..surprisingly.. Do you have a second journal or something? Is this getting documented along with all the other times??”
“You’ll just have to find out.” You let out another giggle as he scoffed quietly and walked out the room.
