It all happened so fast. One moment I was playing in the garden, the next I was on a plane. I can’t remember how I got there or how long I had been gone. The only thing I know is that when the plane landed, there were nine big men surrounding me.
My knees were still dirty from playing in the sand, and I could still feel the headache from falling off the swing that day before. I didn’t dare look at the men, so instead I stared at my scraped knees while one of them grabbed my hand and led me onto a bus.
