The war is over. At least that’s what the ministry keeps insisting.
In an unprecedented move, Minister Shacklebolt has upended the surviving class of 1998 and forced them back to Hogwarts to complete their education. A “Rehabilitation Initiative” - as coined by the prophet. “A disaster waiting to happen” - if you ask anyone with half a brain.
Draco Malfoy is just trying to keep himself from landing back in Azkaban. Hermione Granger is just trying to hold herself together. And neither of them much care for the ministry’s idea of “healing”. But help will always be given at Hogwarts. Especially for those who would rather go down kicking and screaming than ask for it.
An eighth year Dramione featuring forced proximity: very very reluctant healing, a boatload (or boathouse) full of post war trauma, some very shady politics and an ensemble cast featuring Dramione’s favourite snakes. And of course, two idiots who would much rather self destruct than admit that they might just need each other.
