"So, does the 'T' in T-Virus stand for testosterone?"

Medical glove wearing hands still in their precise movements, hovering over Leon's bare thigh with a needle in their grasp. He wishes he had a camera to record the way Wesker's gaze flicks up to look at him, almost bewildered as he stares at Leon.

"..Excuse me?"

"Y'know," Leon continues, kicking the leg currently not being attended to lightly as he looks down at Wesker - who was still staring at Leon in visible confusion, "the T-Virus. The virus you made." He grins. "Does the 'T' stand for testosterone?"

Wesker blinks slowly at him, then his expression turns annoyed as his gaze drops back down to what he was doing. "I'm not even going to grace that with a proper response," the older man mutters under his breath, Leon chuckling at the sight.

"Aw, c'mon, Wes," Leon says, watching Wesker's upper lip twitch faintly at the nickname. Wesker claimed to only just barely tolerate it, but Leon knew that others who've tried to use it when they'd overheard Leon were left nearly wetting themselves once Wesker was done with them. Leon apparently was an exception to the rules in that regard. "Y'know, I should start telling people you're giving me the T-Virus when you do my shots."

This earns him a glare, red eyes meeting Leon's blue. "Don't you dare," Wesker says, and Leon's grin widens. "We already have enough hassle with the BSAA without the rest of those dumb mutts putting their noses where they don't belong."

Something flutters in Leon's chest at this despite his attempts at messing with the B.O.W., and he can't help the way the grin softens into a smile as he watches Wesker go back to what he was doing; inserting the needle into his thigh with an almost surgical precision. The level of accuracy, the almost medical nature of how Wesker handled each of Leon's shots, was weirdly comforting in a way. He hated when people made a big fuss about it - it's why no one but a select group even knew about his.. condition.

Ada found out accidentally while tending to the gunshot wound he'd sustained in Raccoon City, he'd told Claire with a promise from her that she wouldn't breathe a word to anyone about it. The government knew, but it was kept heavily under wraps - though Leon had some suspicions that some of the more dangerous missions he'd been sent on weren't fully because they believed in his skill. Not even Chris knew, though, let alone the BSAA, and Leon preferred to keep it that way.

No one else knew, except Wesker.

Wesker had also found out by accident to be fair to the man, though it was in a much more compromising position than wound care. Leon still can remember the tense pause between them when Wesker's hand had wandered a little too close to Leon's chest under his shirt while they were engaging in some heavy petting, bound in tight bandages in an attempt to flatten what was there. Leon had jerked back, both in realization and also in slight pain. He hadn't taken the bandages off in a while, and once Wesker had put the pieces together, the other man made it his personal mission to make sure Leon didn't overdo the bindings until he could figure out alternatives for the problem.

Leon watches Wesker inject the testosterone, drumming his fingers lightly against the edge of the table he was sitting on. He didn't trust anyone else to do this, having done it on his own for years now. He'd still wanted to, but one look from Wesker was all it took to make Leon back down on it. It was difficult, initially, to allow someone that level of control over something so vulnerable. He was a self sufficient man, maybe to the point of his own detriment, and so letting someone help him with something as personal as his injections wasn't very easy. Wesker hadn't made it a big deal though, treating it as any other medical professional would, and Leon appreciated that immensely though he never mentioned it out loud.

Wesker pulled the needle out and set it to the side, pressing a bit of gauze to the spot on Leon's thigh for a second before moving to place a bandaid over the injection site. "Don't pick at it," he murmurs, knowing Leon far too well at this point to know that the younger man would absolutely be trying to remove the bandaid the moment his back was turned.

Leon huffs. "Yes, doctor," he replies, and he sees the way Wesker's lips twitch up briefly before falling back into the familiar neutral line that they tended to be in. Wesker wasn't one to smile - he smirked, he grinned, he sneered - but smiling was something only reserved for brief moments between Leon and himself. It kinda boosted Leon's ego a little, if he was going to be perfectly honest.

Wesker started pulling off his gloves, disposing of them in the trash can next to his desk and the needle in a small baggie labeled 'medical waste' as Leon watched quietly. He found humor in the sight of the little biohazard symbol on the bag, but he said nothing of it out loud.

They were in Wesker's personal office, not unusual for this particular routine due to the privacy of the space. No one dared enter without an appointment, especially after a previous incident when Wesker was sitting with Leon squirming in his lap one time and someone apparently forgot to knock. People remembered after that.

Wesker finally sits back in his chair and looks up at Leon, who was still watching him quietly. Wesker quirks an eyebrow. "Something on your mind, Kennedy?" he asks, and Leon huffs at the usage of his last name.

"Yeah," he replies, making Wesker's eyebrow raise a bit higher, "you still didn't answer my question about the T-Virus."

Wesker's neutral expression turned to something visibly unimpressed and annoyed, and Leon knew the other man was glaring at him even if he couldn't see his eyes behind the sunglasses he always wore. The B.O.W. sighs then and lifts a hand to pinch at the bridge of his nose. "I really don't know why I put up with you."

Leon grins. "It's because of my charm and good looks," he quips, and Wesker's expression gave the impression of him having eaten a lemon.

"How human of me," Wesker mutters, and Leon snorts in response.

"There's other reasons you keep me around, though," Leon says, and Wesker looks at him with a raised eyebrow once again.

"And what would those be?"

Leon's grin became a little more devious as the B.O.W. looked at him. "You wanna find out?"

Wesker looks at Leon for a moment, then he seems to understand what Leon was implying as he lifts his chin slightly. Leon couldn't see it, but he was pretty sure Wesker's gaze was currently moving up the length of his body. Leon watches as Wesker lifts a hand and rests it almost casually on Leon's bare thigh, fingers tapping a light rhythm into the skin, and he watches the other man smirk faintly, making a little shiver race up his spine. "I do love how daring you get after your injections," Wesker murmurs lowly, and Leon swallows as he feels a flush begin to creep up his cheeks.

"I can be more daring if you want me to be," he says in response, and Wesker's smirk curls into a grin.

"By all means, agent Kennedy," Wesker practically purrs, his hand slowly beginning to slide up Leon's thigh.

Leon happily accepts the invitation with gusto.

Notes:

my boyfriend asked me jokingly if the t in t virus stood for testosterone and it was so ridiculous i had to write this, so thank him for this. im personally pre transition but ive been out as trans for over a decade now, so most if not all of the information in here comes from personal research, self exploration, and asking my friend who is fully transitioned some questions for clarification
