   Summary

   Colt thinks someone’s wailing but he isn’t sure because he can’t hear past the painful ringing in his ears. It’s high pitched and animal, more terror than anything else, like something is being ripped out. It's agonizing in Colt's head, bleeding and cracking. His throat hurts and the pressure behind his eyes is explosive. Something is building inside of him and it scares him because it won’t stop. It just won’t stop.
