    Her gaze pulls from the number plaque on the door, instead catching on the uncomfortable looking guard stationed beside the door. He wasn't supposed to say anything; his job was to sit and wait and watch. She'd never spoken to the guards in these facilities before — she was the alpha, she was in charge, she knew what she was doing and nobody ever questioned her. So when her hackles raise and her lip starts to pull into a sneer, the beta snaps to attention and looks straight ahead.
