   Summary

   This picks up around the cannon timeline of the long game—only Shane and Ilya never started hooking up, Irina Rozanov lives because I said so, and Ilya has an recently un-estranged ten year old daughter. Shane and Ilya remain deeply, deeply obsessed with each other. They are about to spend the summer in Ottawa coaching at Ilya’s foundation / hockey camp. Surely a decade of mutual pining can reach its inevitable conclusion?

   Note: I’ve tried to write this so that Shane’s POV is not strictly necessary, but there is a BUNCH of helpful context that will probably make this more satisfying, especially in the first few chapters!
