"...a pair of perfectly polished black shoes appeared beside the shattered car window. It didn't take long for Satoru to kneel outside, pale hair illuminated by the orange glow of the flames as those blue eyes finally met mine.
“…Are you crying?” he asked softly, almost hurt by the idea.. “Oh, my little fox… my disobedient sweet little fox…” His fingers brushed the twisted metal as he leaned closer, too close, eyes feverish in the firelight. "Come here. We're taking you home." Home. The word cut through me worse than the smoke. “Because you’re ours. Neh, Suguru?~”
Behind him, Suguru emerged silently through the smoke, dark and perfectly composed. Those quietly insane eyes settled on me slowly. Suguru seemed far too calm. But his eyes didn't lie. Those eyes, quietly insane things, settled on me slowly as he approached the wrecked car. The car they destroyed themselves. Suguru only ever looked like that when he was trying to keep something monstrous inside himself under control.
“Because we love you,” Satoru whispered. “And we will never fucking let you go again.”
