Summary
In a country obsessed with superheroes, corporate propaganda and televised mass murder, a deeply unstable Russian operative named Anastasia Petrov Belova arrives at the Boys’ safehouse with enough vodka, trauma and unresolved psychological issues to qualify as a national threat, and offers to help them kill Homelander. Unfortunately for everyone involved, she immediately starts flirting with Billy Butcher like emotional destruction is an Olympic sport, develops a deeply concerning relationship with Soldier Boy, insults the CIA for fun, disappears mysteriously whenever Russia calls, and somehow turns the Boys’ already catastrophic safehouse into the closest thing Earth has ever seen to a war crime disguised as a situationship. Meanwhile, somewhere beneath the sarcasm, violence, sex, cigarettes and increasingly alarming amounts of emotional damage, something far more dangerous waits quietly beneath Anya’s skin and if it ever breaks free, Homelander may no longer be the biggest problem in the room.
