When Akito and Toya entered the living room later that day, they found Kohane curled up against An on the couch, fast asleep. An, however, was lying as stiff as a log, staring up at the ceiling with wide, uncomprehending eyes.
“Woah,” Akito said, setting down his shopping bag. “You good?”
“Oh. Yeah.” An’s eyes slipped shut. “Yeah…”
Toya stepped closer, gaze shifting between Kohane’s sleeping form and An’s rigid one. “Did something happen?”
“We’re dating a monster.”
Both Akito and Toya stiffened at An’s words.
Akito blinked at An, then stared down at Kohane. “What.”
