    Sometimes, the island sounds like it’s singing.

    It's not a happy song. The branches creak in the wind and the rocks scrape the earth and it combines into a horrid crescendo that sounds like a mourner’s dirge. Screams and shrieks echo across the violent waves, the sounds of creatures prowling the wilderness, hoping to come across anyone unlucky enough to wash up on the rocky shores.
