Work Text:
Geo was still in the monastery, walking aimlessly in the courtyard. Well, he had a main aim and that was to clear his mind.
The air outside was fresh, cooling on the bare skin. There was no harsh wind, due to the high walls but Geo wished for the wind to ruffle his hair while he sat from a scenic point. So, he opened the doors and sat on the step outside. Immediately, he was hit with a breeze that flowed through his hair. His muscles relaxed almost instantly as he watched the panoramic view before him.
His worries melted away: the children were inside, doing what they usually do and Bonzle was probably being her usual, dead self.
He looked upward at the sky, and that's when he noticed a small, black dot. Geo squinted his eyes. A bird, perhaps?
Whatever it was, it was nearing closer, alongside a few other black dots. Geo blinked a few times and suddenly it was right in front of him. He was lifted into the air with strong arms—strong arms far larger than his own.
Fear clawed in his heart momentarily, unable to recognise this figure who was almost twice his size.
The figure shifted his weight and he was now face to face with it.
“Hi, Geo!” A voice came out from underneath the mask.
Geo tilted his head, ears perking forward.
It sounded a lot like Cole.
“...Cole…?” Geo’s voice was a hoarse whisper, almost lost in the wind.
Cole nodded frantically, a sweet yet teasing laugh releasing.
Geo panted with relief.
“What on earth happened to you?” Geo asked as Cole shifted him back to a princess carry, bringing them back to the solid, stone floor of the courtyard.
“It's a long story.” Cole replied softly, voice gruff.
“I'd be happy to hear it.” Geo smiled as his two feet planted on the solid floor with a slight quiver. He had not expected to go flying.
Cole held him steady, still chuckling slightly. His eyes on the mask were half-lidded, crinkled with joy and glowing a steady orange.
Geo finally had the opportunity to fully admire this new… form?
He was much larger, that was clear. He had large, black and orange-yellow wings spread out from his back and the best of all: a long, wagging tail.
“Cool, right? I love it.” Cole verbalised his thoughts, giving a quick, flashy spin. However, his wings and tail were much too large and he had almost hit Geo if Geo had not dived backward.
“Woah!” Geo exclaimed, “careful, big guy.”
Geo whipped around, laughing. “Whoops, sorry!”
Cole’s tail was wagging intensely. It was strange to Geo, to see him so animalistic. But something about it was enticing. Especially his height: how he towered above him.
“Despite the obvious changes, what else? Are you faster, stronger?” Enquired Geo, buzzing with the inability to contain his curiosity.
“Wanna find out?” Geo teased, spreading his legs apart, arching his back and launching forward at an alarming speed.
Geo yelped, but his reflexes were too slow to avoid the massive draconian from tackling him onto the hard stone.
They landed on the stark stone floor as a tangled amalgamation. Limbs stretched and dragon wings flapping.
Geo fluttered his lashes before focusing on the bulk constricting his air. He heard distant laughter around him, assumingly the ninja, but his main focus was Cole, looking down at him through the mask. His glowing eyes were wide and Geo could feel the air begin to dissipate as Cole’s wings slowly stopped flapping.
Geo didn't know what to say… or do. Purple-pink blush crept onto his face as they held eye contact. Geo wanted to say something, but he wasn't sure what. Should he tell Cole to get off? Truthfully, he didn't want Cole to get off… maybe. Something about being pinned securely warm underneath Cole brought him comfort. Everything about Cole projected this air of unwavering strength but also something… fatherly? Geo felt safe and unbelievably loved. The honour of Cole going for him first made Geo’s heart suddenly bloom and his cheeks further darkened.
Cole looked down at the Geckle-Munce. His green hair was ruffled but still tightly in a plait, plastered against the stone. His tail wagged even more and his wings spread out, curving at the ends in a mere attempt to cover the both of them. He noticed the blush on Geo’s face and he smiled to himself, satisfied with his domineering tackle.
They stared, awestruck, until Cole began laughing. It was a sweet sound.
“I missed you.” Cole stated, nuzzling against Geo.
Geo tried to raise a hand to hug him but he could not move. He was completely and utterly pinned. And what's worse is that he was definitely enjoying it. He wasn't sure if he was meant to find that shameful but he could not think of anything better than being trapped under a safe, secure bulk he admired everyday.
He chuckled, “I missed you, too.”
Geo swore he heard Cole purring momentarily but the second he showed awareness of it, Cole stopped. Dang it. If Cole could purr too, he might have seen it all. Or in this case: heard it all.
“Is the… uh… flattening… necessary?” Geo’s voice went up a notch at the end.
Cole perked up. “Oh, sorry, do you not like it?”
“No!—Uh. Would just… prefer some leeway.”
Cole laughed, lifting his torso up but leaving their legs pinned. He was like a canine, tail wagging and wings fluttering. Geo wasn't sure what to make of that, but either way, he had more on his mind.
With Geo’s arms free, he wrapped his arms around Cole, somehow flipped him over, and gave him a tight embrace. Cole immediately began purring, wings curling around Geo.
Oh, he purrs indeed! Do dragons even purr? Heck, he had so many questions and so little answers.
“Heh, I'm surprised you even managed to flip me.” Cole gave an affectionate smile.
“Maybe you're not as strong as you think, huh?” Geo retaliated. And with that remark, he was immediately flipped right back over and flattened against the stone.
Geo groaned, “okay, okay. I surrender.”
Cole nuzzled his head into Geo’s neck and continued his rhythmic purring.
A soft smile plastered across Geo’s face, looking up at the sky and enjoying the weight above him.
He could ask questions later. For now, he'll just accept that for once, he was completely at the mercy of Cole. Perhaps, under the mercy of Cole.
