   Summary

   The year is 1970, and Elvis Presley is a has-been; a nobody; a flash in the pan. Once he joined the army, his name faded into obscurity and he fell on hard times. Now he’s nothing more than a local myth, a hobo living in a homeless community in Memphis just south of the railroad tracks. He gets along by trading favors, scrounging for food, jumping railways and living in backwoods homeless camps, having all but turned his back on his past. But things start to change when he meets Evie, a teenage girl who discovers that he still has all of the charm and talent that he was once known for. Will Elvis find his way back into society’s graces, or will he be forever stuck with the life he’s chosen?
