Chapter 1: Part 1 💙💛

Chapter Text

Will Byers was nervous, to say the least.

Nervous about meeting up with his new boyfriend Mike Wheeler for the first time in a few months, months that felt like decades. He was nervous about skating, because he obviously wasn't an expert at it. He was nervous about almost everything, to be honest. The worries didn't leave him alone at all, not even when his sister Jane Hopper dragged him to the airport half an hour early.

He sat in one of the connected chairs, his leg speedily bouncing up and down off the ground like it was a malfunctioning earth drill. His shoulders were as still as stone, matching the rest of his body except his left leg. His worries wash over him for the millionth time this hour, refusing to leave his head. He couldn't stop overthinking everything about himself.

Did he look alright? Was his hair too short? Was his outfit too plain? Maybe he should have quintuple-checked himself in the mirror before leaving.

And the worst one of all: What if Mike regrets being with him? What he was regretting saying yes to being his boyfriend? What if he got that horrible tingling feeling at the back of his neck again? What if…..HE showed up?

Will shook his head, his eyebrows creasing together. He chewed on his fingernail. Dang it, why was he fretting over this so much? Shouldn't he be over the moon right now because he was reuniting with Mike? The floor beneath him seemed to blur slightly. Suddenly, Jane tapped his shoulder, gentle but hard enough for him to snap out of his overwhelming thoughts. Her face had concern written all over it, her half-up half-down curly brown hair falling a few inches past her shoulders. She kept a comforting hand on Will's shoulder.

“Will? Are you okay?” She asked. Will instantly nodded, feeling a bit stupid now.

“Yeah, sorry.” He muttered, dropping his hand. His shoulders and posture relaxed. His leg gradually stopped bouncing fast, but he still felt anxious shivers travel through him. Jane gave him a sympathetic smile, sitting up straight. Will's unsteady hand reached up to rearrange his bangs for the thousandth time, something he had been doing all hours of the morning. Jane caught onto it and started to connect the dots.

“You are worried about Mike, aren't you?” She said, Shoot, Will was caught. Will nodded in subtle shame, hanging his head low. Jane let out a short chortle and rubbed Will’s shoulder, smiling at him. “It will be okay!” She reassured him out loud. He gave a weak lipped smile back.

Suddenly, Jane looked up and gasped. “Mike's here!” She announced. Will's heart jumped and he snapped upright, eyes immediately landing on a certain black-haired beauty.

Mike was walking towards them while flashing his pearly whites in a wide grin, his fluffy midnight black hair bunching around his shoulders and the back of his neck. He was wearing a loose short-sleeved lemon yellow jacket over a navy blue T-shirt, and a bucket hat covered with complex complicated patterns. His sunglasses were attached to a white strand that hung around his neck, swaying from side to side. His shorts tugged on his toned hips and thighs, hugging them perfectly at every angle. Will's eyes popped out of his sockets and he forgot how to breathe for a long moment. My god, Mike was gorgeous.

Will snapped out of his trance when Mike stood in front of him, hands on his hips, his warm smile reaching his eyes. Will felt heat rise up to his ears, and he hoped that his intense blush wasn't heavily visible on his face. Mike suddenly surged forward to hug him, flinging his arms around Will's neck and catching him a little off guard at first before he returned the hug, his heart starting to pulsate in his chest, syncing with Mike's heartbeat.

“Will! It's been so long!” He exclaimed, warm breath brushing against the other boy's ear and arms tightening around him. Will nodded as Mike pulled back.

“Y-Yeah.” He replied before Mike went to hug Jane as well. She grinned, closing her eyes shut for a moment.

“Haven't seen you in a long while either, El!” He added, the nickname still unintentionally clinging on despite her name change. “Oops, crap, I meant Jane.” He said as he pulled back and Jane gave him a forgiving thumbs up and started to walk away, slow as a slug. She gestured with her hand for Mike and Will to follow her. Will watched the two start small conversation, shuffling his heels together and feeling oddly stuck in place. Sweat was starting to break out on his palms and he spaced out, staring at his shoes and dabbling into his stress again. He really could never stop overthinking things. Out of the blue, Mike tapped his shoulder and he fell back down to earth.

“Will? You okay?” He asked. Will wanted to slap himself. Now he made two people he really loved worried. Will nodded, letting out a short punched-out laugh that sounded more hesitant than humorous.

“Sorry, just…nervous.” He admitted with a slightly shrill voice, biting the inside of his bottom lip. Mike raised an eyebrow, leaning in closer, voice dropping half an octave.

“You don't have to be. It'll be alright, okay? I'm with you.” He insisted gently, cherry red lips curving into a light smirk. Will’s face deepened in a bright pink colour as Mike reached out to hold his hand, interlocking their lanky fingers together. His thumb massaged the back of the other's hand. Will's heart started to hammer against his ribcage, knocking his breath away. Mike's hand was warm and comfortable and incredibly soft, and his fingers were beautifully designed, if that made any sense. Will was an artist after all, cut him some slack. He blinked when Jane called out to them, waving her arm around.

“Hey! Lovely birdies! Let's go!” She declared. Mike chuckled and rolled his eyes playfully as the two boys started following her.

“It's lovebirds, Jane.” He snorted, not denying that he and Will were in fact, lovebirds. Because they were, and they both loved each other dearly and were proud of it. Will laughed lightly, staying close behind Mike, his hand red and trembling in his boyfriend's calm and peaceful one. This was going to be a long day, and Will didn't necessarily mean that in a bad way.

The walk to Rink-O-Mania went by in a flash. The three were talking and catching up all the way there, although Mike paid more attention to Will. He occasionally squeezed his hand and shot a few quick gentle glances that made Will's heart race every time. He told himself to get a grip, and he also has to constantly remind himself that they are dating now. Sure they had confessed their love to each other over letters and it took three business days to get to a relationship conclusion, but still. It felt almost surreal and divine. It felt divine that Mike was finally his, and he was finally Mike's.

The entire place was a glaring mix of bright colours, bouncing and shining off of every surface and flashing every colour from the rainbow everywhere, specifically gleaming on the skating floor like a bunch of kaleidoscopic spotlights, the flaring multicolour lights sliding across the rink in all different directions. The three of them rented out rollerskates, all smiles and chatter, especially Jane. Will didn't talk that much, he just held onto Mike's hand as Mike got the rollerskates for the both of them, handing a pair to Will with a delicate grin.

“Bitchin’, right?” Jane piped up behind the two boys, a proud smile sneaking onto her lips at her new vocabulary. Mike turned around, nodding. His grin didn't move an inch, and he kept holding Will's hand. Both of their hands were starting to heat up, both from Will's extreme blush and the close thermal contact.

“Uh, yeah! Bitchin'. Do you guys come here often? Like, with school friends?” He asked without thinking. Jane's expression faltered.

“Uh, not often.” She said, tone dangerously close to sadness. Mike's eyes widened as he realized what she was gesturing to, the girls that teased her every day at school and made mean jokes about her.

“Shit, sorry! I didn't mean to-” Mike started, but Jane waved a dismissive hand, her small smile returning slowly.

“No! No, it is alright. Ah-okay.” She responded, confidently getting the saying wrong.

“A-okay.” Will mumbled and corrected her, sounding quieter than he intended. Jane giggled behind her hand as Will turned his attention back to the skates gripped in his hand. The brunet peered at the pair of skates closely, mentally preparing himself. He breathed in and out through his nose as Mike left to put his shoes away on the shelf, disconnecting his and Will's hands, which made Will want to frown and pout. He really liked holding Mike's hand, even if that was a sappy thing to admit.

Then he noticed Jane was zoned out, a sad glint in her formerly cheerful gaze. Will went over to her and shook her shoulder, unease washing over him. Now it was his turn to worry about his sibling. Jane blinked and whipped her head towards him. Will looked to where she was staring at and frowned. The brunette had been staring at the group of the popular girls a few meters away, and a certain blonde was laughing loudly like a wild hyena. The girls were all surrounded by Angela, of course, although none of them looked actually elated to be there. It could have just been Will's imagination, but it looked like the girls were actually starting to get tired of Angela's obnoxious jokes.

His eyebrows knitted together and he looked back at Jane, shaking her shoulder again, this time with more urgency. “Hey, forget about them, okay?” He huffed, his annoyance obviously targeted towards the mean kids. Jane kindly smiled at him again, nodding. Then she pulled him into a tight side-hug.

“Thank you, Will.” She cheeped. Mike came back to them, and they were just about to head into the rink, Mike already running his mouth to Will about all the different movements he could do and Will couldn’t stop grinning at his adorable antics. At that moment, almost like magic had made the stars align or whatever, they heard two familiar voices calling out to them.

“Wheeler! Twins!”

“Yoohoo!”

The three of them whipped around so fast in unison that they almost got whiplash. Standing in front of them were Max and Yuki, their grins wide with joy. Max had her curly ginger hair cascading behind her back, some strands slithering down her freckled face, and Yuki had her dark ebony hair tied up high in a ponytail, also with a few strands loosely hanging down the side of her pale face. Her bangs reached just a tad above her eyebrows. Everyone's mood got a lot brighter as they all greeted each other with hugs and small talk.

“What are you two doing here?!” Jane squealed excitedly, clearly happy to see them.

“We were just over there doing some figure 8s! Max kicked a bunch of little kids' asses just a few minutes ago. 他们每个人最酷的事情.” Yuki stated like a proud mother. Max jokingly rolled her eyes, a smirk tugging at her lips.

“Well, it wasn't that great. Don't flatter me that much, guys.” She replied, shrugging and putting on a casual facade despite her subtle prideful attitude. The group burst into soft laughter before a loud voice cut them off. Suddenly, there was an argument starting on the skating rink and every single person in that arena turned towards the scene. Will's eyes darted to where everyone was looking with wide eyes, and he was taken aback.

Angela and one of her minions were on the rink, the white spotlight shining directly onto the two of them and making them the center of attention. The rest of Angela's friends were on the sidelines as bystanders. Angela's friend, a light skinned girl with chestnut hair that was cut into a bob and she also had layered lipstick and mascara on. She looked pissed off and completely done with everything.

“Angela, we are NOT pulling that prank! Why do you always have to ruin a perfectly good day?!” She erupted, throwing her hands up and making her golden beaded bracelets jingle. Angela stubbornly kept her composure, but she seemed weaker now.

“It's just a prank! I thought you guys would like it!” She countered with a shrill voice. Will shuffled closer to Mike on an impulse, unconsciously squeezing his hand. Mike squeezed back ever so slightly, and Will could see Jane also move a bit closer to the both of them. She also looked surprised. People had started whispering, including Max and Yuki, and even the staff members were too interested in what was going on to break it up.

“Trying to give someone a seizure isn't a prank.” Angela's friend scoffed, her eyebrows furrowing deeply. “Seriously, I was cool with all the teasing and shit, but this? Too far.”

“Yeah! She's a nice kid!” A high voice called out from the sidelines.

“Fuck off Angela.” Another voice spat out, and pretty soon to the group's utter shock, all of Angela's former friends were ganging up on her. Will swallowed, not knowing what to do. It was like he was locked in place. He glanced at Jane, and also to his shock, she was smiling. She was visibly beaming from head to toe, and relief was evident in her eyes. Someone, or some people, had finally stood up for her. They had finally stood up to Angela. All of a sudden, there was a crackle and whine on the speakers, and the DJ started talking into his microphone.

“This song is dedicated to the world's biggest jerk: Angela Smith. Enjoy motherfuckers.” The DJ announced with a goofy grin, and the most ear-grating electric guitar tune played on the speakers, making Will and Mike and Jane and everyone else wince hard before it quickly moved onto a bouncy rock song. Angela hated rock songs. Her face scrunched up and she covered her ears, looking smaller and more feeble than she had before. Her conceited behavior had completely crumbled down, now showing a pathetic bully that had nothing better to do with her life than to put others down.

Will watched the scene unfold, and everything happened so fast. One of Angela's other old friends stepped forward, a dripping moist bright red slushie clenched in her hand. Before anyone could process it, the girl launched the cup forward, wet crunchy chunks of red slush splattering and splashing everywhere onto Angela's good expensive shirt, soiling it completely. The blonde let out a shriek as her stomach and chest looked like a crime scene, crimson slush seeping into the clothing and some of it even trickling down her thighs before dissolving away.

The loud song was still blasting in the background, the best syncing with the god awful electric guitar strums as she stormed off the rink and angrily kicked off her skates, not even having the decency to put her normal shoes back on. She stomped out of the place barefoot, shirt totally soaked in nosebleed-coloured mushy sludge, shaky fists clenched into tight balls, yelling and hollering every curse word under the sun all the way.

The spotlight shut off and the song was over, slowly fading away to a new, better one. Everyone slowly moved on, the usual overlapping chatter and noise returning. The staff members realized that they were on the job and not watching a reality show and got back to work before they could get chided out by their boss.

Will stood there, stunned for a long moment. He blinked, then turned his head towards his sister. Jane snorted. Max snickered. Mike stifled a chortle. And then out of nowhere, everyone exploded into loud guffaws, their diverse laughs mixing together. Even Will caught himself laughing heartily along with Mike, resting his head onto his lover's lukewarm shoulder. Jane wheezed, wiping a non-existent tear from the corner of her eye and clutching her side. Max was the first to speak up through the laughter.

“Ahah- bet you nobody's gonna miss her!” She remarked through giggles.

“Serves her right.” Mike added, letting out a long exhale after, his face a shade of light red from laughing a ton. Will's face was red too, but obviously for a way different reason. Max and Yuki waved a temporary bye to the trio before heading back onto the rink, either to go and beat more sassy children's butts or just to try out their new moves. Jane whipped her head towards Will, and even her eyes were smiling.

“I think I'm going to go join them!” She exclaimed, already moving to follow the two girls.

“Oh, okay! Have fun.” Will responded, raising a low hand as she tied her skates tighter and stepped onto the arena, legs wobbly at first. Oddly enough, she looked like a baby taking its first steps. Or Will was just getting weirdly sentimental about Jane finding her place in the world. Again. He snapped back to reality when Mike looked at him, and they locked eyes with each other. Will turned his body towards his boyfriend, gazing into his gorgeous darkly coloured pupils and beautifully sculpted face, almost getting lost in them. The disco lights bounced perfectly off his cheekbones. Will felt warm shivers travel through his body and a fierce red blush dusted across his face.

“Hey.” Mike whispered, tilting his head.

“Hey.” Will replied quietly, voice breathy and unsteady. Mike took Will's hand in his again, interlocking the fingers together and squeezing. Will could have fainted right there on the spot, his mind felt scalding and fuzzy with pure joy and affection, matching his own eyes, which were glittering with unfiltered love.

“So, wanna head out there?” Mike asked with a smile. Will nodded as they both tied on their skates and headed out onto the skate arena, the wheels of the skates making scraping noises underneath them. Mike started twisting and turning his knees, his posture a bit shaky at first before he eventually found his balance. He practically dragged Will further onto the rink, careful not to pull his wrist too hard.

“Be My Baby” started playing on the speakers, which only made Will even more uneasy.

The two boys started skating, with Mike in particular being the one to take the lead while Will slid behind, their hands connected like they were glued together. Their flushed hands fit just right, like a complete pitch-perfect puzzle piece. Mike and Will were a perfect puzzle piece, and nothing or nobody could convince them otherwise.

The night we met I knew I needed you so

And if I had the chance I'd never let you go

So won't you say you love me?

I'll make you so proud of me

We'll make 'em turn their heads every place we go

Mike spun around to lean forward and swing Will side to side, making the brunet let out a sharp gasp. “Mike!” He yelped as the mentioned laughed, melodic music to Will's ears. Pretty soon they were close together, sliding side to side in unison and gliding on different parts of the rink, giggling and smiling lovingly at each other the whole way.

So won't you, please (be my, be my baby)

Be my little baby? (My one and only baby)

Say you'll be my darlin' (be my, be my baby)

Be my baby now (my one and only baby)

Whoa-oh-oh-oh

Will's eyes were on Mike the entire time. He loved every single second and every single part about the obsidian-haired boy. His paladin. The way he chuckled tenderly when Will twisted around, the way his hair flew and shifted in the air, the way his beautiful lips would curve into a ravishing smile when he caught Will's hypnotized stare, making his tomato face even more impossibly red. Mike tucked a strand of hair behind his ear and sighed, and Will almost choked on his own spit, his stomach doing backflips and his heart drumming inside his chest. Oh my god. This glorious man was his. He loved this drop-dead gorgeous human being, and he knew that Mike loved him just the same, if not more.

I'll make you happy, baby, just wait and see

For every kiss you give me, I'll give you three

Oh, since the day I saw you

I have been waiting for you

You know I will adore you 'til eternity

Mike's soy milk-white face basked in the blue and yellow lights, glowing on his face and emphasizing his faint freckles and jawline. His eyes were round and shiny, his blackish brown pupils single-handedly carrying every ounce of deep affection and devotion that he had for Will. The brunet felt his inhumanely rapid heartbeat pound into his ears and his face felt like it had been dipped in hot wax. He could have drowned in those gentle and fond eyes, and Mike felt the exact same way about him.

So won't you, please (be my, be my baby)

Be my little baby? (My one and only baby)

Say you'll be my darlin' (be my, be my baby)

Be my baby now (my one and only baby)

Whoa-oh-oh-oh

Equally, Will was Mike's universe, his cleric. It was the way his peachy skin illuminated in the disco light glow, the way he would crack a shy smile that drove Mike crazy everything, the way his face would immediately turn as red as a ripe apple whenever Mike gave him any loving physical contact. And he couldn't believe that Will was finally his, it felt like a miracle. Like a dream come true.

Will leaned in, breath turning warm and heavy. Sweat beaded on his forehead, his thoughts racing around. Did his breath smell bad? What if he was moving too fast? What if-

His upcoming stress was cut short when Mike kissed him, right on the lips, in the middle of the skating rink.

So come on and, please (be my, be my baby)

Be my little baby? (My one and only baby)

Say you'll be my darlin' (be my, be my baby)

Be my baby now (my one and only baby)

Whoa-oh-oh-oh

Will officially malfunctioned and his brain flat-lined, his flush lips meeting Mike's soft ones. Kissing him was like floating on ecstatic euphoria. Butterflies hatched and flew around in his stomach. All verbal speech dried out in his throat as Mike pulled back from the kiss, studying Will's expression for any sign of discomfort. All he saw was a big jolly smile and dilated dark chocolate pupils, framed with a stunning bright red face and trembling figure.

“Will? Are you o-” Mike started, but Will interrupted him with another kiss, quick but delicate. The two boys pulled back from each other, and then they grinned. Will's grin was more shy and anxious, but Mike's grin looked like he had just won the lottery. His hand trailed down to Will's waist and he held it, the simple touch sending an electric affectionate surge through the other boy's brainwaves. He could have squealed like a schoolgirl right there, Mike must have casted a metaphorical magic spell on him, and it was working. Or he was just charming in that way.

Different shades of blue light beamed onto Mike, painting his fair skin a light baby blue and then a royal blue and other kinds of exquisite blues that Will couldn't name right now. He looked ethereal and sacred in the blue disco light, like an angel descending from heaven.

At the same time, by luck or fate, various different shades of yellow light shined onto Will, making him glow with a pastel golden tint. Mike's breath hitched in his throat and his heart started beating faster and faster. Will got more and more charming and cute with each passing day, matching his wonderful personality.

Will's hands moved to cup Mike's precious warm face, he was so thoughtful and caring with the facial harmony of an angel or even a Greek God. He just looked so striking and dapper, and Will was totally head over heels for him, as Mike was with him. They pressed their slightly damp foreheads together, not caring who was watching. Will was too elated and cheerful right now to fret over public appearances. He wanted this to never end, he wanted to capture this exact blissful moment in a glass jar and keep it with him until the end of time.

“I love you. So much.” Mike exhaled with a passionate tone. Will internally screamed and squealed.

“I love you too.” He replied, full of love and loyalty. They were crazy in love for sure, but at least they were crazy together.

Together. They were together. Together!

Will could really get used to that word. He was starting to love that word now, actually.

They both felt honored to call themselves lovers, hopefully forever, until the soldiers came home. The disco lights flashed again, like they were telepathically agreeing with Will.

Meanwhile, while Jane had been skating with Max and Yuki, the two girls decided they would take a little slushie break and waved her off kindly. She smiled to herself and spun around, careful not to fall. She was super happy and merry that everything was going great! And it was about to get even better.

“J-Jane? Can we talk to you?” An accented voice asked. Jane's heartbeat slowed down as she turned around to see Angela's former “friends” in front of her. They were three girls, one short and one tall and one average height that stood in the middle. They all had fancy punk clothing on. Jane opened her mouth to say something, even though she knew she was speechless, but the middle girl spoke first.

“We….wanted to say that we're sorry. We're so sorry for insulting your project, which was really cool by the way, and we're sorry for not standing up to Angela earlier.” She said sadly, pure guilt evident in her voice.

“We didn't know she would go as far as to try and bully you here, of all places. So, we're very sorry. Could you please forgive us?” The tall girl asked.

“We're very sorry!!” The short girl wailed, jumping to hug Jane. Jane stumbled backwards and resisted the urge to chuckle. The tall girl rolled her eyes.

“Sophie, get off her! Don't be a crybaby!” She lightly scolded. Jane's mouth shifted as she thought about it. Then, she realized something. She realized that despite everything that happened, Angela was the evil mastermind behind everything, and these girls were just her minions. Holding a grudge would be useless, just like playing competitive soccer without a rude coach would be useless. After a pause, Jane nodded, her grin reaching ear to ear.

“Yes, I forgive you. We can be friends. But be nice to other people, because friends aren't mean to each other, okay?” She calmly replied with a soft genuine smile, and all of the girl's faces visibly lit up, their moods lifted.

“Oh my god, thank you! We're sorry again!” The middle girl said, fiddling with a large strand of her hair. Reconciliation was accomplished, and Jane was happy. Everything was peaceful again. Suddenly, another song played on the speakers, and Jane gasped dramatically and turned to the rink, ears perked.

Darling, you got to let me know

Should I stay, or should I go?

If you say that you are mine

I'll be here till the end of time

So you got to let me know

Should I stay, or should I go?

It's always tease, tease, tease

She turned back to the group, vibrating with excitement and matching their enthusiastic expressions. “This is my favorite song!”

“Us too!” The middle and tall girl said, and the short one just giggled nervously and nodded. They all headed for their skates, already getting into a deep conversation with Jane. They had a lot more in common than they thought. Well, maybe not everything, for example none of the girls were raised in a lab, but it was the little stuff. The fun stuff.

The short girl's name was Sophie.

The middle girl's name was Harmony.

And the tall girl's name was Shaniqua.

And they were great! And fun to skate around with! Jane was smiling so hard and wide her face was starting to ache, but she danced and skated and sang her heart out, all her worries washed away. At the corner of her eye she spotted Max and Yuki on the nearby bench sipping slushies. Yuki had a pink one and Max had an orange one, almost matching her hair. Jane waved to them, and they waved back, clearly pleased that Jane was making new friends but also a bit suspicious, as usual. Max lowered her crunchy orange slushie cup with narrowed eyes and Jane jerked a hand towards the three girls and gave a thumbs up.

Max and Yuki exchanged glances, still a bit alert but now seeming more relaxed. They both shrugged with innocent looks on their faces and kept drinking their slushies and Jane just chortled and waved at them before rolling off.

Jane then saw Mike and Will, slow dancing and chuckling to each other, whispering sweet nothings between the barely there gap and Will getting all flustered and pink all over. While Mike grinned and ran his fingers through Will's short brown bowl-cut hair. They stared at each other like the other was their everything. Their other half.

Jane snorted and put her hands on her hips, feeling like a proud sister. Those dorks were so in love with each other. Now what had Will been so worried about? Will caught Jane's eye eventually and the brunette gave her brother an “I told you so” wink and an eyebrow wiggle, something she had learned from Robin. Will rolled his eyes and got back to staring at Mike's face like he needed to look at it to live. He ducked his face into Mike's shoulder, nuzzling it bashfully (almost embarrassed) and Jane could hear another fond laugh dissolve from Mike.

Jane turned around and joined the girls, her heart full and swelling for the people she cared about, to the people she saw as family, and her skating skills still a bit poor. But oh well, beautiful flowers take time to grow. And Jane loved seeing her best friends bloom into flowery humans. She would keep them safe, no matter what.

Should I stay, or should I go now?

Should I stay, or should I go now?

If I go, there will be trouble

And if I stay, it will be double

So come on and let me know

The disco lights flashed and glowed above her, as if it had been listening to her inner thoughts and agreeing with her.

Today had been an amazing day, and Will truly couldn't be any happier than right here with his beloved Mike....and everyone else, of course. What had he been so nervous about? He should have known and remembered from the bottom of his heart that this was where he was meant to be.

Mike and Will. Blue and Yellow. Lover and Loved.

The two boys remembered reading somewhere in a crappy school library book that soulmates always stay in eternal love even in the weirdest places. Sometimes under multi-colour lights wearing roller skates and holding onto each other like they're scared to let go of their light source. They were each other's true love, forever.
