Summary:

It has a been few years since the fights with Master Rules has ended and God stripped everyone of their negation abilities. While the other former member of the Union enjoy their peaceful daily lives, a mysterious unlabelled box arrived at Fuuko and Andy's doorstep containing recordings of the previous loop. Loop 100.

With a living room packed to its maximum and enough snacks to feed dozens of people for hours, the crew sits down to watch the beginning of a legendary story.

Chapter Text

A few years had passed since the Master Rules fight, ever since their respective negation abilities were taken away by God. Everyone had lived their daily life as if nothing had happened prior. The same goes for the former boss of The Union and negator Unluck, Fuuko Izumo.

“Andy… pass me the chips, pretty pleaseee…” said Fuuko lazily on the couch.

“Y’know, you could have just called me more intimately, right? We’re married. Call me hun or something and I’ll give you some,” teased Andy, the former Undead. Fuuko’s cheeks puffed.

sigh… please gimme some, honey,” said Fuuko, followed by the laugh of her beloved husband.

“Hahaha! That’s more like it!”

“Hey Andy, I know this might seem out of the blue, but I keep reminiscing about the past a lot nowadays where we still had our abilities.”

“Just… how terrifying it was to be touched by just about anyone. I spent the rest of my youth locking myself away, thinking that I am a monster that would just destroy anyone around me. And then, many things had happened since then. We joined Union, fought the UMA’s, fought Under, fought God and the Master Rules… and now I can just sit here, eating potato chips while calling my husband a dork without any meteor crashing down through our ceiling,” she laughed softly, though her eyes were a little misty. “It all feels like a dream sometimes.”

“I’m grateful, really,” answered Andy. “All those times, I wanted to feel the pain of dying but can’t due to me being Undead. I tried all sort of things, even getting experimented on heh. It was only until I met you that my life truly changed, Fuuko,” hearing it from Andy himself makes Fuuko’s heart melt with joy.

“Awww… you’re so sweet!” Fuuko pulled him into a warm hug.

*DING DONG*

*DING DONG*

“Hm? Did we plan a meeting with someone? Or didja buy something again from Amazon and that’s one of your new packages?”

“It’s neither! But I’m curious though.”

“Stay here. I’ll open the front door,” said Andy as he got up from the couch.

Slowly, Andy walked to the door. He hates this unusual feeling that still lingers in his mind ever since his Undead ability was snatched away. Why is he being paranoid all of a sudden?

He only had one chance of life now. No more safety net of regenerating body parts like he used to. If he died, Fuuko will be all alone and he would really hate that. But, it had always been part of his dream to die while surrounded by loved ones, ever since he began his journey in the 1800’s during the previous loop.

Gah, what am I thinking right now,” Andy muttered. He waved the thoughts out of his mind and opened the door.

He saw no one at the doorstep. But when he looked down, he found a box with no label on its packaging.

Huh? What’s this box? Didn’t she say about ordering nothing?” Andy thought to himself.

“What happened? You took quite a while just to check on something,” Fuuko shows up behind him.

“Look here, the deliveryman must’ve mistaken our house with someone else. You didn’t order anything right?”

“I didn’t… hold on, there’s a paper underneath it!” she pointed to the bottom of the cardboard box, where a single sheet of paper was sticking out.

Dear Negator Undead and Negator Unluck,

I have blessed thee with a window into the tapestry of your wonderful journey. Within this box lies the records of Loop 100, where many of the tragedies and battles had occured. Gather those who stood by your side. It is time to watch the tale of the girl who cursed the world with her misfortune, and the immortal man who promised her the greatest death.

- X

“…Well, that’s certainly something”

“I’m so lost…” said Fuuko as she scratched the back of her head.

“I wanted to say that it’s a prank pulled on us, but the one who sent this knew we were negator once. Not everyone remembers, or even aware of its existence,” Andy explained to her.

“Do you want me to tell the others? But watching it here would be pretty crowded, I think. And don’t get me started on Feng’s fighting spirit. He could randomly make a scene anywhere he goes,” Fuuko grumbled, remembering the time where he tried to fight her on every other occasion.

“I’ll try to get in contact with some of the boys. They would be thrilled," said Andy as he pulled up his smartphone.

The Union 101 Dudes

1865: Hey bros, check this out @everyone

1865 sent a photo!

[Andy sent an image of the inside of the cardboard box they found. Inside, there are a bunch of tapes labeled ‘Undead Unluck’]

BestPhotographer: What are those things?

1865: That’s what I wanna know. It was sent by an anonymous sender

BullSparx: Hey, hey! That sounds dangerous! Shouldn’t you report it to the police or something?!

NuTella: Don’t be so rash. Is there anything that can guide us to who sent the package, perhaps?

UncBill: Tella’s right. My phone can’t spell out what’s happening on the image whatsoever so I have to ask, is there any label on the packaging, Andy?

1865: Well… these tapes over here DO have text on it. ‘Undead Unluck’

BestPhotographer: Wasn’t that your negation ability along with Ms. Fuuko? Why is it written there?

1865: Heck if I know. It has a note underneath it too when I found it. It said to bring you guys over here or sum like that. Watching stuff.

BullSparx: We’re watching movies?? Now I’m in!

RipAndTear: Watching movie? About Ms. Fuuko and her husband? Their ability was written down there, right?

UncBill: Meaning the sender must’ve been aware of negator’s existence, yes?

1865: My thoughts exactly

AnnoUn: Ooh! Is this one of those tropes where we’re watching someone’s past or future or something similar??

ImOnFire: I’ve seen those kinda things before. Kurusu forced me to read it with her once while visiting my stand. But those are all just fictional stuff, isn’t it?

ImOnFire: But if the rest would join, I’ll gladly cook up something good, dessert included!

AnnoUn: Either way, we’ll be there, Mr. Andy! Does anyone disagree?

Creed: I refuse

BullSparx: ???

Creed: Andy your house would be cramped as shit if we all gathered up in the same room, and Fuuko definitely invites the others too as we speak so that’s double the people

1865: Nah, my house ain’t that small you’re just huge

UncBill: Don’t you worry, Andy. Me and Tella would drag his body to the viewing by force

NuTella: Aye aye sir

Creed: HAHAHA yeah let’s see you try

MomentOfUntruth: Sorry everyone, I’m quite late! Feng is being a pain in the ass again

RipAndTear: That guy is always troublesome, should he also be invited?

MomentOfUntruth: Sheesh, it’s harder for me to force him to sit down without my Untruth! He keeps wanting to start a fight at any moment!

1865: I have double-sided tape here, in case you or anyone else needs it

1865: But anyway

1865: I saw Void reading the message awhile ago but hasn’t responded. I would assume he also agreed.

BestPhotographer: What about the others? Like Mr. Nico, Sean, Phil, and Mr. Victor?

1865: Oh yeah, them

1865: Nico would go regardless cuz his wife definitely will, you won’t see Julia alone without Victor in her vicinity, Phil would go with anyone so that’s a non-issue. As for Sean… is he even awake yet?

BestPhotographer: I’ll tell him once he checked his phone

1865: Sick, wicked sick! See you all tomorrow!

TheStrongest: SHEN WHERS ARES YOU YOUR SUPPOSD TO HVE A SPAR WIT ME 5 MIN AGO

MomentOfUntruth: This ain’t the DM, old man. Learn a bit about technology, would you?

— Around 30 minutes later —

NowYouSeanMe: Sorry! I woke up pretty late today. Why was everyone pinged?

BestPhotographer: Oh finally

BestPhotographer: Scroll up

NowYouSeanMe:

NowYouSeanMe: Seriously? I should tell Gina about this

The Next Day

“Alright, foods and drinks ready! Thanks for all the assist, everyone!” said Enjin, wiping his brow as he served his specialized Bankararamen and some sliders.

“No problem, Enjin-san. The chicken skewers are fully plated and ready to go,” Mui replied, handling a massive tray for Top to carry out.

“And I’ve finished hauling the beverage crates, as well,” Haruka chimed in, effortlessly carrying a massive box of soda cans to the counter without breaking a sweat.

Most of them were already there too, which is quite surprising. Andy initially thought that some would pass on the offer because of their busy daily lives, but the living room is currently packed to its maximum. Billy and Tella had arrived a few minutes prior, carrying the seemingly passed-out Creed on their shoulders. Andy chuckled at the sight.

“Damn, I admit I didn’t expect you to ACTUALLY go through with your words from yesterday.”

“Hahaha! It’s just a precaution really, no way anyone would miss out on something interesting.” Billy replied with a grin.

“Hi-hi! Sean told me about this so I’m joining as well!” Gina, accompanied by the former Unseen, cheered as she pushed through the front door.

Fuuko blinked, confusion written all over her face as she looked up from her spot on the couch, “Wha- didn’t I told all of you girls about today? In the chat no less?”

“Hehe… I still can’t manage my phone properly, I’m so sorry! I read it not long after, though” Gina laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck before going over the couch to squeeze Fuuko in quite a suffocating side-hug. “Besides, I miss you, Fuuko! Who cares about the group chat when I can see you in person?”

“Well, I CARE! This darn living room is now at its full capacity!” Creed, who had finally woken up, grumbled from the floor. He’s currently trapped under a giant beanbag that Tella sat on. “If one more person sits on top of me, I’ll cause a riot.”

“Calm down, Creed. Here, have a snack,” said Enjin, sighing as he took one of the desserts and passed it down to the floor.

Near the kitchen, Top, now a fully grown young adult, was keeping a plate of glazed pastries out of Backs’ reach with practiced ease while Chikara snapped photos of the chaos. Near the window, Tatiana sat comfortably on her giant, fluffy beanbag. Next to her was, Phil, who is now a quiet and expressive teen, smiled gently, enjoying the warmth of the house. Right next to them on the floor mat was Mei, Shen’s little sister, who’s busy helping Mico and her brother construct a highly unstable tower out of plastic blocks.

Across the room, a completely sleep-deprived Ichico was yawning widely ever since she had arrived at the house with Nico. She rested her chin on top of her husband’s head, holding a coffee mug in one hand and a messy notepad in the other. Nico grumbled as he snatched the mug away and ordered her to eat properly instead of pulling another thirty-four-hour research binge like a maniac. On a comfortable chair not far from the duo, Julia elegantly sipped her tea, sharing a smile with Victor, who stood behind her like a personal bodyguard, quietly muttering that a rowdy house is far better than an empty roundtable.

The rest of the former Union members had completely occupied the remaining corners. Yusai watched the crowd with a relaxed, poised posture from her personal tatami mat, while Kurusu and Akira eagerly bickered over the artistic romance of the upcoming viewing, ignoring Sean’s grumbles about not turning their past trauma into entertainment. Nearby, Rip flashed his usual smirk at Void, joking about how some of them would look like the bad guys for the first half of the loop. Leila sat on the other armrest of Rip’s chair, giggling at his antics while her sister Latla sneakily stole a fry from his plate, saying that her prediction regarding her eardrums would ring true during the viewing because of the inevitable loud reactions.

*SLAM!*

Everyone’s attention suddenly turned toward the source of the loud noise.

“I brought the old man!” yelled Shen, bursting through the front door with a wide grin. He had his eldest daughter balanced happily around his wide shoulders, tugging playfully on her father’s hair.

Right behind him stood the deeply irritated Feng Kowloon. Clutched under his massive arm like an oversized football was Shen and Mui’s second toddler, Shao, who was munching on a cracker, completely oblivious to the martial artist’s aura of pure rage.

“Unclasp me from this tiny brat, Shen, before I throw both of you through the drywall,” Feng growled, his eye twitching as he scanned the packed living room.

Upon hearing the door slam, Mui rushed over immediately, her eyes widening. “Shen! You didn’t tell me you made Feng-san carry Shao! I am so sorry, Feng-san!” she bowed frantically before quickly taking Shao from under his arm, though the little one whined at losing his giant perch and reached right back for Feng’s sleeve.

“Seriously? That’s a risky move,” Andy remarked, raising an eyebrow at the wildcard entering his home.

“I told him there would be free foods and he agreed to join, though he might not watch it with us,” Shen explained, completely ignoring the fact that Feng looked ready to cave his face in.

“As long as he isn’t being annoying. Just leave him be,” Andy grumbled, keeping an eye on Feng as he simply scoffed and headed straight to the kitchen to inspect the counters.

“Alright, sit tight you lot! I’ll start it now,” shouted Andy as he pointed the remote at the TV. "In 3... 2... 1!"

He turned on the television , where its screen finally flickered to life.

Notes:

Hello, hello! This might be the first fic I've ever uploaded on AO3! Or anywhere, really.

Why did I write this? Uh... just check out the amount of Undead Unluck fics that are out right now (when I first started writing this down, it's less than 300 in total!). I checked most of them and they're absolutely peak, then again, the fandom needs more sustenances.

I'm a fan of a reactfic genre myself, so I asked myself "Why not just create one too?" And here we are! I'm a bit worried that some characters might get a little mischaracterized here on their interaction, OOC for short, so I apologize if they've somehow become sillier than usual.

Updates will be SLOW, SLOW, SLOW (had to make it three SLOW's), depending on my mood and my life outside of AO3. Anyway, thank you for taking your time reading this!
