"Katie?" Ash waves his hand in front of the dazed girl, "You insist on eating dinner with me and fail to say a word? That isn't like you."
She blinks a her face flushing pink, "Sorry Ash! I was just thinking..."
"And what could possibly keep your mind preoccupied?"
"Ahhh," she sighs, "I was just thinking about when we met!"
She smiles stupidly. Ash wasn't sure if this conversation would lead anywhere.
Katie stands up for a sudden display of theatrics, she almost trips over the heavy weight chained to her ankle,
"Oh, you were so awesome taking me under your wing that day!"
He squints are her trying to assess her intentions,
"I was just doing what was right! I could never let a poor, innocent islander become homeless."
"Of course you couldn't! Where was it that we met again...?" She inquiries.
"Why? Did you forget?" Ash teases.
"No, no, no I would neverrrr--" she blantly lies, "Just quizzing you on our friendship!"
"Katie we have more than just a friend ship, you are my sister!" He grins, standing up from his seat. He walks over to Katie, pulling her chair out notioning her to sit.
"I actually want to talk more before we eat!" Katie sways back and forth, hands behind her nervously.
"Spit it out then," Ash says with an unsettling closed eye smile.
"I was thinking going on a picnic could be fun!"
"Of course, we just had one yesterday with Tubbo and Haiper in the garden," Ash says.
"But- but what if we like... did it like... somewhere else?"
"What where you thinking?" He asks.
Her wings puff up from under her shawl in excitement, "I have a really good spot!!"
"That is?"
"Where we met! You always said it had the most beautiful sight you'd ever had laid your eyes on-" she smiles wings flapping in delusion.
"Katie?" Ash interrupts, "You aren't leaving the Regimes protection."
"Surely a simple outing wouldn't be dangerous-?" She insists.
"Enough Katie! Put your wings away, its bad enough that we can't hide your horn, just listen for once!" Ash vents.
Katie steps back, tripping on the ball weight, falling on her butt.
"Take her to her room," Ash sighs, dragging his hand down his face.
Two guards lift her by the arms helping her off the ground. Usually she'd snap back, leaving after having said the final word, but she'd never heard Ash speak to her so harshly. She looks at the ground hiding her teary eyes as the two guards escort her.

Ash sits back down at the table, now alone, he didn't mean to be so harsh with Katie.
In his mind it seemed like all Katie wanted to do was erase the hard work he put in to protect her.
"Shitttt....." he sighs throwing his head over the back rest. He stares at the towering ceiling and glass sky lights.
The sun was beginning to set.
"Haiper."
He appears from behind a pillar,
"Its time to lock everything up for tonight."
"Yes Supreme Leader, Ash!" Haiper salutes, giving orders the nearby guards.
I should probably apologize to Katie...

Katie arrives back at her room. Ripping off her annoying shawl. The two guards leave immediately.
She drags herself to the windowsill practically throwing herself dramatically onto it.
I am lucky to have such an open window, She smiles to herself.
All I had to give up was my ankles freedom! She giggles to herself, remembering her old room in the basement with tiny barred windows. This was a definite upgrade.
She sighs.
Her heart aches, no matter how hard she tries to suppress her sadness with these temporary distractions, Ashes words still ate at her.
She grabs out a white rock she picked up from the court yard the previous day, she angrily starts scribbling on the brick windowsill.
The angry scribbles slowly became drawings...
She drew herself in the sky wings fully extended!
She also drew her horn glowing obnoxiously...
She smirks, and begins to giggles to herself, this would be the most rebellious thing she could do in response to Ashes cruelty.
Knock, knock... Knock
Katie recognized that knocking pattern.
Frantically, she used her long sleeves to wipe away her drawing. It didnt work well, leaving the drawing still visible, and her sleeve ripped allowing her arm to be scraped on the rough brick.
She gave up on that plan, and decided shutting the curtains would have to do. She hoped the pink lace would hide her evidence.
"Uh, Katie?" Ash calls out, knocking again.
She swiftly goes to throw herself into bed, hopefully taking attention away from the window. She fails to take into account for her new companion! Her ankle weight.
A loud bang could be heard as her face slams into the side of the bed frame leaving her pathetically sprawled out on the floor.
"Katie!?" Ash barges in. Katie curls up holding her face.
"What happened Katie??"
She moves her hands aside revealing a horrific bloody nose.
