Summary
Vincent knows Alastor is about to get shot in the head and die in one week. He must do all in his power to prevent it. Alastor knows nothing of this pre-ordained fate, only that Vincent’s behavior is getting more erratic and desperate with each passing day.
This is late 1930s New Orleans. Vincent Whittman is the famous top-entertainer at ENBC, a radio and television broadcasting studio based in New York. He is working hard to secure a deal between his company and WWL-AM, the biggest local radio broadcasting company situated in the heart of the Crescent City. Alastor Hartfelt is the established beloved radio host and socialite that the entire city venerates. He has known Vincent for years, the man having visited New Orleans on and off since he first came on a business trip. However any affections either could harbor for each other remains strictly at arm’s length, due to the consequences such a relationship could have.
