Episode 1: Here We Go Again - Part 1
*An aerial view of an island is seen before it slowly pans down to a dock. A woman with black hair done in a ponytail and an orange shirt looks at an empty sign. This woman is Kristal McLean, the new host of the show.*
Kristal: Ah…a summer camp. The perfect place for everyone to enjoy themselves for the summer season.
*She then turns around and notices the camera.*
Kristal: Sounds peaceful, right? Well, it’s not only peaceful but also a perfect place for a bunch of nobodies fight to become famous! And it’s all gonna happen live right here at Camp Disventure!
*Kristal then starts walking on the long dock.*
Kristal: Here’s the deal; fourteen campers have signed up to spend the next couple of weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They’ll be competing in challenges against each other then have to face the judgement of their fellow campers.
Kristal: After every challenge, one team will win while the other will have to watch one of their teammates walk down the dock of shame and board the boat of losers.
*The scene transitions to Kristal at the campfire ceremony.*
Kristal: Their fate will be decided here! Where everyone will write down a name at the voting booth and have their vote read in front of everyone at the dramatic campfire ceremonies!
Kristal: Sounds simple, yes? Well just you wait.
*The scene transitions to a montage of things.*
Kristal: The campers will be facing wild animals, disgusting camp food, unexpected weather changes, and especially…each other.
*The scene transitions to multiple cameras appearing around the island.*
Kristal: Each and every waking moment will be caught on the multiple cameras situated around the camp for the people to endlessly tear them apart online.
*The scene transitions to Kristal back on the dock.*
Kristal: Ready to see who will be the last one standing and claim the million dollar prize?
Kristal: I’m your host, Kristal McLean, and this is…Disventure Camp!

VISUALS:
The opening begins with Kristal looking at the sign of the dock while Marcus and Nina are trying to put up the “Disventure” sign on it. Kristal turns around to notice the camera and pose for it as Marcus and Nina fall off the ladder in the background.
The camera then goes into the camp as it heads straight towards the cabin area. At the stairs, Tess and Ally are sitting together. Tess is busy drawing while Ally is focused on a game she’s playing on her switch and celebrates her victory once she completes the level. Just then, Hunter comes over and he and Ally start having a conversation. Tess rolls her eyes and looks away.
Lake passes by the trio while she is busy reading a book. She heads into the forest as a squirrel lands in her book. Behind her is Karol, who’s trying to cut wood with an axe. Karol successfully does so as the squirrel pops out of Lake’s book. Lake nervously smiles at the squirrel before the squirrel proceeds to bite her, causing Lake to run away in terror. Karol can’t help but laugh at the situation.
In another part of the forest, James is looking at his phone while Aiden is admiring the scenery. James looks over at Aiden before bringing him into a selfie. Aiden is shocked at first but he looks at James in annoyance. In the background, Lake is still running around with the squirrel biting her face.
At the docks, Kai and Oliver are trying to meditate. Kai seems to be calm and is doing a great job but Oliver ends up letting out a snore which breaks Kai out of his peaceful state.
In the middle of the lake, Connor and Riya are sitting in a canoe together. Connor seems to feel a bit awkward while Riya looks at him with a friendly smile. Connor tries his best to make a joke and it makes Riya giggle just a little bit.
Inside the dining hall, Rosa Maria and Maggy are having a chat before Yul comes over. Yul then starts to insult Maggy which makes Maggy feel sad. Rosa notices this and is immediately angry, she then decides to pounce on Yul, catching him by surprise. Maggy is shocked as she watches the scene unfold right in front of her.
The two teams are then shown walking towards the campfire during the night time. Orange Team is on the left and being shown first while Green Team is on the right.
The camera focuses on the moon before panning it to Hunter and Tess. The two are sharing a romantic moment at the campfire pit, sitting next to each other and leaning closely while smiling. Just then, Ally pops in between with a bright smile on her face and wraps her arms around the two, forming a group hug. Hunter is still smiling but now, his eyes have directed their attention to Ally while Tess is annoyed as she looks at Ally as well.
The camera pans out to show the rest of the contestants as they all surround Hunter, Ally, and Tess at the campfire before continuing to pan out all the way to Kristal at the voting booth. She has both hands on her hips with a confident smile on her face before posing for the camera, still as confident as ever.
The scene then transitions to a monitor tent where some of the opening is seen on multiple screens. Inside said monitor tent, Nina is maniacally laughing as Marcus is tied up screaming for help despite the tape on his mouth.

*Inside a boat, 14 people are currently sitting down. Oliver is beaming with excitement as Ally is playing on her switch. Oliver’s eyes wander to Ally and notices the yellow pac-man ghost on her t-shirt.*
Oliver: Ooh, that’s a cool t-shirt! Where’d you get it?
*Ally looks up at Oliver and pauses her game.*
Ally: Oh, a very special someone gifted it to me, hehe. I’m like a huge fan of video games.
Ally: *gasps* Hey, wait a second…I feel like I’ve seen you before!
Oliver: Oh really?
Ally: Yeah! I think I remember you from that Total Drama season!
Oliver: Got it on the dot! I was the intern who tested all of the challenges.
Ally: Yes!
Oliver: I’m surprised a fan would clock their interns pretty quickly, haha.
Ally: A normal fan wouldn’t but a superfan like me would! I watched all the seasons before I got here.
Ally: Anyway, the name’s Ally! It’s nice to meet ya!
Oliver: I’m Oliver! It’s nice to meet you too!
*Meanwhile, next to them is Rosa Maria and Kai. Kai notices Rosa Maria’s necklace.*
Kai: Your necklace is resplendent. A libra?
Rosa Maria: With a Leo rising! You?
Kai: My sun radiates with the groundedness and stability of a Taurus.
Rosa Maria: Oh? *giggles* I like you! I’m Rosa Maria!
Kai: I’m Kai. I thank you for the positive energy you emanate.
*Across from them is Karol, who doesn’t seem thrilled to be here. She seems to be clearing her nose.*
Karol: Is it energy or musk and sweat? You think there would be boats with this type of budget that include AC! What kind of show is this?!
Yul: Ring, ring! Menopause calling!
Yul: At least if you win, you can fund your hysterectomy!
Lake: That’s not a very funny joke…
James: You’re right…
*James whips out his phone.*
James: Can you say something funnier?
*Yul gasps.*
Yul: Oh…my…gosh! Mother Theresa was offended?! How will I ever survive?!
*James leans forward in order to record the moment as Yul checks pulse.*
Yul: Oh em gee! Look! I lived! Ahaha!
*Suddenly, the boat comes to a stop in the middle of the ocean. Yul hits head…somehow.*
Yul: FUCK!
Marcus: Alright everyone, time for your first challenge. Nina here will explain.
*Hunter and Tess take a quick glance at Nina before looking at each other, a bit freaked out.*
Nina: It’s easy. You’ll swim to camp where the people who don’t make it to shore will be eliminated…FOREVER.
*Lake walks up to Marcus*
Lake: Excuse me sir…have you considered seeking somebody?
*Marcus and Nina look at each other with an eyebrow raised.*
…
*One by one, the contestants hop off the boat and swim in the ocean to the shore. Tess is swimming her way there. Hunter joins her not too long afterwards, a relaxed smile on his face.*
Hunter: I wonder why people are avoiding us, haha.
Tess: Whatever. Nothing new for me.
Hunter: Uh…y-yeah…! Same here…!
Hunter: But uh…socializing is soooo overrated…! Am I right?
*Tess rolls her eyes and starts swimming away.*
Hunter: I mean, think about it! We, as people, should spend more time on important things such as–
*Hunter notices that Tess is gone.*
Hunter: Aaaaand she’s gone…way to go, Hunter. You’re great at this.
...
*Lake is currently swimming alone but she is joined by Kai.*
Kai: Pardon the disturbance, but I wanted to let you know that your actions on the boat painted a mural of good intentions.
Lake: Oh, thank you!
Kai: Although, your vibrations were turbulent…it hindered my meditations.
Lake: I’m…sorry?
Kai: Don’t be sorry, it’s not your fault.
Kai: But, such an inner cacophony causes one to stray from enlightenment.
Lake: Um…is this supposed to be a “thank you” or an “I’m sorry”?
Kai: It’s a friendly warning in the hope that you’ll avoid letting earthly concerns cloud your–
*Suddenly, Kai notices that Lake has gotten away from him. And honestly? I can’t blame her.*
Kai: Huh. Already she’s become on with the Great Spirit!
...
*Oliver is swimming, determined to be the first on the shore. Maggy then joins him.*
Maggy: H-hi! I’m Maggy! What’s your–
Oliver: Huh. You’re big.
Maggy: S-so…?
Oliver: Definitely a threat.
*Oliver swims away from Maggy. Maggy starts to swim a bit slower, clearly defeated as she lets out a sigh.*
...
*Meanwhile, James, Yul, Riya, and Aiden are all swimming together.*
Yul: And fast forward one-million followers later came the first of many major brand deals!
James: Really? Then how come I haven’t heard of you?
Yul: *scoffs* Sorry, do you live in South Korea?
James: Clearly not.
Yul: Exactly! Here amongst you uglies, I can be a hot, normal guy.
James: Impressive that you have one million but I actually have way more than that.
Yul: Actually, I have like…ten-million nowadays. People love a good K-pop star.
James: Haha, well then I’ll be joining you in the ten million-followers club after I milk my time on this show for every like.
*James looks at the camera.*
James: And to the viewers watching, follow me on every social, especially my TikTok, @JamesCosta!
Riya: Woah! A million followers…huh, I can’t imagine!
*James notices Riya.*
James: Oh, I’ve seen your face in movies before! I think your name’s uh…Raya…something.
Riya: *sighs* Close enough. It's Riya. Riya Sharma.
Yul: Who?
Riya: I’m a famous actor in Bollywood but I came to the United States to fulfill my dream of making my debut in Hollywood.
Yul: Well, good luck trying to get that screentime and fame hun! With people like me, I doubt you’ll ever make it there, ahaha!
James: How long have you been in Hollywood for? It can’t be long if we don’t know you. Maybe you haven’t made your big break yet.
Riya: Three years. The roles I’ve only booked are extras…
James: Damn…
James: Well, I don’t think you’re going to make it then.
*Riya looks hurt after James’s comment. Suddenly, Connor catches up to them.*
Connor: Well, I think you can make your big break! Any of you mind following me on MySpace?
James: What the hell is MySpace?
Connor: Y’know, a famous social network!
James: …
James: Huh?
Yul: Attention! Someone please come claim your grandpa! He has escaped the retirement home and the dementia’s taken hold!
*Yul and James decide to continue swimming, moving away from Connor and Riya. Aiden then swims past the two. Karol also swims past them but not without a sly comment.*
Karol: You in the sunglasses should hang out with people your age!
*Connor sighs, defeated. Riya looks at him, feeling bad.*
…
*Meanwhile, on the shore, Kristal is observing everyone swimming. Her phone then goes off as she picks it up.*
Kristal: This is Ms. Kristal McLean speaking, who is this?
???: …
Kristal: Oh.
Kristal: *sighs* Look, I told you several times to stop contacting me.
???: …
Kristal: No! I don’t need his advice to run this show! I’m not ending up like him! Besides, if he wanted to give me advice, he can just call me through–
???: …
*Kristal rolls her eyes.*
Kristal: I’m gonna make this clear. There’s a reason I chose to host this show and I’m not letting anyone go ahead and tell me how to host this show. I know what I’m doing!
*Kristal then notices a contestant who’s pretty close to the shore.*
Kristal: I gotta go. I see the first camper arriving at shore.
*Kristal hangs up the phone as Yul makes it on to shore.*
Kristal: Yul! Congratulations on being the first to–
*Kristal and Yul then notice Kai chilling on a rock.*
Kristal: Well, looks like you weren’t the first to make it on to shore.
Yul: Are you kidding?! How the hell is he not wet?!
Kai: Nature showed me a shortcut.
*Tess then arrives on shore as well.*
Kristal: Tess! Welcome, welcome!
*Tess walks over to Yul and Kai and scans them. She then looks away. Just then, Hunter also makes it.*
Kristal: Hunter, lucky number four!
Hunter: Yes!
*Hunter walks over.*
Hunter: Hey guys!
*Kai bows as a way to greet Hunter. Yul and Tess, however, don’t greet him at all…which makes Hunter feel a bit awkward. Ally arrives on shore.*
Ally: Yay! I’m still in!
*Ally walks to the others on the shore, offering a high-five. The only person to take the high-five is Hunter. Kristal, Yul, Kai, Hunter, Tess, and Ally turn around to see Riya come out of the ocean. She pulls Connor out of the water.*
Riya: Made it! *pants* Onto the shore!
Connor, exhausted: Woohoo!
*Connor then falls face first into the sand, making everyone else react in shock. The rest then see Oliver.*
Oliver: Woohoo! Made it! Time to–
Kristal: Stay put there, Oliver. You’re not coming up here.
Oliver: What? Why?
*Everyone else who hasn’t made it to shore is able to catch up to Oliver in time.*
Kristal: You six stay in the water as well.
Maggy: Um…why?
Kristal: Because these are your teams!
*Kristal turns to look at those on the shore.*
Kristal: Kai, Yul, Tess, Hunter, Ally, Riya, and Connor, you all are team A! Also known as the Angry Condors!
*The team logo of the Angry Condors appears as the team members glare at each other.*
*Kristal then looks at the others in the water.*
Kristal: That means Oliver, Maggy, Lake, Rosa Maria, James, Aiden, and Karol, you all are team B! Officially known as the Radioactive Sharks!
*The team logo of the Radioactive Sharks appears as the team members glare at each other.*
Kristal: …Actually, now that I think about it…these names sound stupid. I’m just gonna call you Orange Team and Green Team.
*All of Orange Team has also arrived on shore as well.*
Rosa Maria: Makes sense. Those team names seem pretty lengthy, haha.
Aiden: Wait, there’s teams? What happened to being eliminated?
Yul: As much as I would’ve liked for mother nature to take out the old hag who has his face in the sand, it should’ve drowned all of those nobodies who were in the water as well.
Tess: That would sound cool.
*Hunter, Ally, and Riya are all freaked out. Kai, however, is unbothered as he is still in his peaceful state.*
Kristal: Who said anything about elimination?
Aiden: That strange puppet.
*Kristal is confused at first but she then realizes what Aiden meant.*
Kristal: Nina? *sighs* Figures.
Kristal: No elimination yet, just teams.
Ally: *gasps* Ohmygosh! Aren’t you, Kristal? As in Chris’s–
Kristal: I’m KRISTAL McLean! The host of this show, and the one who’ll eliminate you on the spot if you say one more word!
Kristal: Got it?
*Ally nods out of fear.*
Kristal: Good!
Kristal: Orange Team, take the path to the right. Green Team, take the path to the left.
Kristal: You have the night to rest before your first immunity challenge.
Karol: Sharing cabins? What happened to privacy?!
Kristal: Do you want a million dollars or not?
Karol: Sounds like you need it more.
Kristal: Oh okay! Orange Team, congratulations, you all get a disadvantage for tomorrow’s challenge!
*All of Orange Team looks at Karol. Karol then looks away and scoffs and James goes back to looking at his phone. Lake, Maggy, and Rosa all look at her with concern while Oliver seems pretty pissed off. Aiden looks back at Kristal.*
Kristal: Campers, I’ll see you all tomorrow!

[ALLY: GREEN TEAM]
Ally: Wow…I can’t believe I’m actually here! Aaah! This is literally a dream come true!
Ally: Aside from Kristal, everyone I’ve met so far seems pretty nice though and I hope I’m able to come out of here with a couple friends. I mean, the main priority is winning but there’s nothing wrong with that, right?

...
*Everyone has now dried off. At the Green Team cabin, Yul, Riya, Hunter, Tess, and Kai sit on the steps.*
Hunter: So uh…what are y’all gonna do with the million dollars if you win?
Yul: Ew, did you pick that up from “Small Talk for Dummies”? How old are we? Five?
Tess: *snickers* I can’t lie, it does make you sound like a kindergartener. Do you want to do some cliche icebreakers?
*Hunter looks away awkwardly. Yul looks at Tess and scans her up and down.*
Yul: You are officially one of my favorite people in this game.
*Tess gives Yul a small smile.*
Yul: Anyway, who knows? Not like I need money with all my sponsorships.
Riya: What exactly is it you do?
Yul: Possess star quality, obviously!
Riya, slightly annoyed: Okay. But, what is it you do?
Yul: Ugh! Whatever! I dance, okay?! My parents forced me into a competition at 15, and my performance went viral or whatever. There, happy?!
Riya: Sheesh, I was just curious…
Hunter: So, if you don’t need the money…why are you here?
Yul: I’m forced to be here by my agent who thinks that hanging around you “normal” people will somehow magically save my public image.
Tess: Save it from what?
Yul: From the alleged leaked footage of me pushing an elderly woman down an escalator. Greedy hag was just in it for an easy payday.
Tess: Do you think the old lady was an actor?
Yul: She had to have been! I mean, why would she want to make my image look bad?! She was probably jealous that I’m more popular than her.
*Riya, Kai, and Hunter all look at each other…a bit freaked out about Tess and Yul.*
Kai: You know, there’s this old Chinese proverb that–
*Yul goes over to hush Kai.*
Yul: Sorry but…I just don’t care!
*Yul goes back to where he was sitting earlier. Kai gives Yul a quick glance before raising an eyebrow.*

[KAI: GREEN TEAM]
Kai: Yul’s aura is...confusing. Like a storm cloud--dark and foreboding. But deep inside of that storm cloud, there’s a wilting flower trying to survive.

…
*Connor is outside as he peeks his head into the window of the cabin. He sees that Ally is playing a video game on her Switch. Connor enters the cabin as he closes the door, he then makes a relaxed smile with his face.*
Connor: Are ya winning, son?
Ally: Oh hi!
Connor: Seems like you’re playing those video games, eh?
*Ally nods with excitement.*
Ally: You wanna play? Games are always more fun when they're multi-player!
Connor: Sure! We can end up being Fortnite gamers, haha.
*Ally giggles before giving Connor her Switch. Connor takes it and is totally confused.*
Connor: Um…
*Connor accidentally presses a button and the Switch turns off.*
Connor: Shit…! S-sorry, I must’ve broken it…
Ally: You didn’t even break it, don’t worry. You just turned it off, all you have to do is–
Connor: Don’t worry! I’ll fix this in a jiffy!
*Instead of listening to Ally, Connor decides to…snap the Switch in half. Damn. F in the chat for the Switch. Ally just glares at Connor…and frog blinks directly at him somehow.*
Connor: O-oh my goodness…! I am so, so, sorry! I-if you want, I can–
Ally: It’s okay! There’s no need to apologize! Besides…
*Ally then pulls out two other Switches. Where did she get them? Who knows.*
Ally: I can just teach you the ropes! Ready to become a pro-gamer like me?
*Connor smiles and nods as he grabs the Switch.*

[ALLY: GREEN TEAM]
*Ally is holding the two switches from earlier in her hands.*
Ally: Yeah, so I might’ve brought like a crap ton of switches, hehe…
Ally: But hey, there’s nothing wrong with it! I know this show like the back of my hand so I have to be totally prepared for what’s to come!

…
*With the Orange Team, Aiden is sitting at the picnic table alone. James comes out of the cabin and sees him sitting alone.*
James: Nice hair.
Aiden: Oh, uh, thanks. I dyed it myself actually.
James: That’s pretty cool.
*James decides to take a seat right next to Aiden.*
James: So, who do you think the most popular contestants of last season were?
Aiden: No clue…I think a girl with a red sweater.
James: Red sweater, huh? Why is she the most popular?
Aiden: I don’t know…she came up on my feed once, I haven’t watched the show before.
James: Oh…
James: Well, I guess I’ll just ask someone else who has.
*James gets up and walks away from the picnic table. Aiden lets out a sigh and sits there in silence by himself before…*
Karol, from inside the cabins: They call this housing?!
*Yup! That’s right! Karol’s complaining inside the cabins and it causes Aiden to flinch a bit. Inside the cabins, everyone else is looking at her.*
Karol: I’m pretty sure that’s mold on the walls and these sheets look filthy!
Oliver: Okay, calm down, Karol! I’m sure we can wash them later…
Karol: Good god, I need to speak to whoever’s in charge. This is unacceptable!
*Karol storms out of the cabin. Oliver is a bit afraid as the room is completely silent for a few seconds. Lake and Rosa look at each other.*
Rosa Maria: Wanna get out of here and get some food?
Lake: Please!
*Rosa and Lake both get up and start walking away. The two pass by Maggy, who watches them leave the cabin. She looks down at the ground upset.*

[MAGGY: ORANGE TEAM]
Maggy: I also would’ve liked to get food…and be included.
– – –
…
*At the dining hall, Lake and Rosa grab their food. However, they seem to be freaked out as Marcus and Nina glare at them as they walk away. They end up sitting down at a table.*
Rosa Maria: So, where’s your accent from?
Lake: Germany! I’ve lived there for my entire life.
Rosa Maria: Wow, do you ever want to leave?
Lake: Not necessarily…I do want to travel outside of it though. But, it’s too early to think of that anyways…not like I could because of my family.
Rosa Maria: *sighs* Leaving family isn’t easy, but sometimes it’s for the best. Why can’t you leave yours?
Lake: With their fame, I’d never escape them. My mother’s a famous violinist and my father’s a respectable nuclear chemist.
Rosa Maria: Wow! That’s pretty incredible! But, what about you?
Lake: What about me?
Rosa Maria: You came to this show for a reason, right? I wanna know about you, not your family!
*Rosa gets up.*
Rosa Maria: Your hobbies, your dreams!
Lake: Oh…I just simply came to have a fun break away from my job. I don’t have any other hobbies aside from writing, but my parents want me to prioritize working hard in order to get all the way to the top. It’s all about success for them, you know?
Rosa Maria: And what about your happiness?!
*Lake looks at Rosa before looking away, seeming uncomfortable.*
Rosa Maria: ¡Ay, mierda! That was too much…I’m sorry.
Lake: No, no, it’s okay! I’m just not used to someone asking about me.
Rosa Maria: Ay, I gladly will. I’m here for you, Lake
Lake: Thanks…
Lake: I just realized I’m not that hungry…do you want the rest of my pancakes?
Rosa Maria: Are you sure? It looks like you barely even ate it.
Lake: I’m sure. Besides, if I ate more…it would exceed my daily calorie count.
Rosa Maria: …Okay then.

[ROSA MARIA: ORANGE TEAM]
Rosa Maria: That was…concerning but I’m not going to comment on it any further in case Lake gets uncomfortable.
Rosa Maria: Besides, I’ve been needing to get a filter so my opinions don’t bite me in the ass…

*On the other side of the dining hall, James takes a picture of his breakfast. He then notices Ally sitting across from him.*
James: Aren’t you that famous Twitch steamer?
Ally: You’ve recognized me? Awww, I’m honored!
James: Hey, an influencer knows an influencer.
James: Anyway, you’re a huge fan of the previous seasons, right?
*Ally nods with energy.*
James: So, do you know any of the social media handles of previous participants?
Ally: Of course I do! I follow a bunch but Gabby’s the most popular! I think she follows me back but I’m not sure, haha.
James: Gabby…is she the one with the red sweater?
Ally: Yup! It’s her most recognizable feature. Have you watched the show before?
James: I’ve heard of it but never sat down and watched it in full. A lot of my fans love this show apparently.
James: Exactly how many followers does she have?
Ally: Oh my gosh! Like, Gabby has over one million at this point!
James: Over one million you say. Why’s that?
Ally: There’s PLENTY of reasons! She’s such a sweetheart! Her friendship with Dan was like…everything! And then was her romance with Ellie, that was really cute but I wish they had more screentime! Wait, then there’s her friendship with Tom, literally Gom trended on Twitter once! Oh, oh, oh, don’t forget her famous “Open Arms” motto! And then–
*As Ally continues to yap about Gabby, James gets up and walks away, looking completely disinterested.*
Ally: And–
*Ally notices James is gone.*
Ally: Hey, where’d he go?
Ally: …Oh well!
*Ally then pulls out a Switch from who knows where and starts to game.*

*It’s the next morning and the contestants are all together standing by their respective teams with Kristal.*
Kristal: Good morning, campers! Ready for your first immunity challenge?
Karol: Hardly! Sleep was impossible for those hovels you call cabins. Who’s your manager?
Kristal: What was that? You want another disadvantage?
James: Karol!
Karol: *sighs* Fine…
Kristal: Now, for today’s challenge, you’ll–
Yul: Disadvantage?! They have an ogre on their team, what do you mean “disadvantage”?!
*Tess lets out a little snicker. Maggy looks at the ground upset.*

Ally: If she doesn’t want to, I’ll take her place! It’d be fun to ride with you guys!

Yul: Then it’s settled! Now, Kai and Connor should be on the ATV’s.
