"No."
"Whatttt? Oh come on Mane, it's not that bad of an outfit."
"Still a no."
Flame was going out on a date with Swight in a couple of hours. It still felt a bit weird that they kissed before the first date even happened, but Flame is just gonna shake that awkwardness away and focus on his clothes, which according to Mane, was horrible.
"Then what should I wear?"
"Try this."
Mane pulls out a basic white t-shirt, some baggy pants, and black leather jacket from the closet.
"That looks basic."
"You two are going to the park. Seems pretty basic to me. Plus, it's the first date, you should look like this!"
Flame groaned and grabbed the clothes from Mane's hand and heads into the bathroom to change. Flame puts on the clothes and he's gotta say. This actually looks good.
He comes out of the bathroom, looking at Mane for his opinion.
"Now that's a first date look."
"Alright, alright I gotta say, you have good taste."
"Thank you. By the way, you should get going now, it's almost 6pm." Mane pointed at the clock, 5:48, Flame cursed under his breath and set off for their meeting place.
"Does my hair look okay?"
"Swight, I don't think Flame will care about your hair."
"Still PEEJ! I need to look decent!"
"Dude, relax, it's the first date. You two already know each other, so just think of it as a friendly hangout."
"You're not helping Sharpness!" Swight was internally panicking. He likes, no loves Flame, he wants to look nice, he needs to look nice. Even if the two are already dating.
"Are you sure you don't want me to call Itz for help?" Coldified asked, already holding his phone up.
"No, don't call Itz, he'll just tell me random stuff, plus it'll be awkward."
"It already is awkward!" The three said at the same time.
Swight checked the time, they planned to meet at 6. And it was already 5:50.
"Shit, it's almost six."
"Well you better get going to your prince charming." Sharpness teased.
"Tell that to your little boyfriend Sharp." Swight threw a pillow at him, making the other two laugh as Swight rushes out the door.
Flame is waiting on a bench, looking around anxiously, checking his phone every few seconds. 6:04, that was the time he arrived.
Now it's 6:10, he didn't get stood up, did he? Flame's face lit up when he saw Swight, out of breath and panting. He was wearing a white sweater and blue jeans with a scarf wrapped around his neck. Fuck, he looked beautiful, even if both their outfits were plain.
"Hey... Sorry I'm late. Did I keep you waiting long?"
"Nah, it's fine, I came in late too."
The two walked side by side as they talk endlessly into the night sky. They ended up under a tree, looking up to the starry sky.
"So, do you actually wear a blindfold because you want to be like your brother or for a different reason?"
That caught Flame off guard, he always told people it's because he was inspired by his brother and blah, blah, blah. But this was Swight, the person he's supposed to tell everything to, the person he's supposed to love. Maybe, he should give an exception...
"Well, that's what I tell people, but..."
"But?"
"Nah, never mind."
"Oh come on! Please? For me?"
Flame's lips parted when he saw Swight's face. 'He looks so cute...'
"...Flame? Flame? You there?"
Flame couldn't hold back anymore, he grabbed Swight's face with both hands and kissed him. Swight yelped in surprise, but soon gave in and relaxed himself into the kiss.
Flame pulled back for a second, giving them both some time to breath, before planting quick kisses on his lips.
"You still didn't answer my question."
"What?"
"My question, why do wear your blindfold?" Damn it, he thought Swight would forget that.
"Well... It's because... of my eyes."
"Are they sensitive to light?"
"Not exactly..."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, they're ugly, I look like a monster!"
Swight cupped the side of Flame's cheek. "I'm not afraid."
Flame gulps nervously, he hesitantly takes off his blindfold, revealing his mismatched eyes, one was a crimson red, while the other one was yellow like the sun.
"Wow..."
"I know, I know, it's ugly, I-- I'll put this back on."
"Don't."
"What?"
"You eyes look... pretty."
Flame blinks in surprise, nobody has told him that his eyes were pretty. He remembered the bullies, telling him his eyes were disgusting. But they weren't Swight. He's different, he's perfect. He belonged to Flame, and he belonged to Swight. It was just perfect.
Flame walks Swight back home, worried that something might happen even though Swight tells him that there's nothing to worry about, still he lets Flame walk him back, wanting more time with him.
"Looks like we're here, thank you for tonight Flame. It was amazing."
"No problem, uh--lets do this again, what do you say, huh?"
"Next week, coffee, 9am, don't be late this time."
"I won't." Flame curls his fingers with Swight and puts a kiss on his knuckles, leaving Swight blushing until it reached his ears. Swight watched Flame leave and chuckles to himself, already counting the days to their next meet up.
