    Summary

Lestat wants Armand, sure– he’s beautiful and vicious and might understand him better than anyone else ever can or will. But Armand doesn’t understand himself, doesn’t understand that he’s always acting out, won’t ever let his true self be seen or had. And that's what Lestat wants, what Armand will never offer him. All he can offer is the exquisite cruelty of a scared child, and now it feels like that child has taken his very soul from him.
