    Summary

Eddie’s worried expression began to fade, disappearing into the night, leaving defensive-Eddie. Buck didn’t like defensive-Eddie.
He sighed. “Look, I was just… nearby and I wanted to stop by, but then I slipped and, I don’t know, passed out.”
Eddie looked at him, unimpressed. “And you were drunk,” he stated.
Buck pressed his lips together. “That too, maybe.”

Buck left Los Angeles because the one person who mattered most in his life left. But after another natural disaster he finds himself in LA with the 118 again. He’s trying to make amends for his mistakes - for not being able to save Bobby, for breaking his last promise, and for running away. But at the same time, he wonders how everyone else manages to ignore Bobby’s death while Buck has to fight bitterly with his demons at night. One night, he finds himself in front of Eddie's house - drunk and anxious but also a bit angry. He wants to talk, he wants to apologize, he wants answers. But most importantly, he wants him back and he doesn't want to feel so lonely anymore.
