Hi! Kris here! Thank you for choosing to read Silver Lining! It's been a really long while since I have written a fanfiction, so some parts might feel a bit awkward or weird. I will try improve my writing as I continue!
Yes, before we start, there is a couple of things you need to keep in mind! It's highly recommended that you read all the information so that you can have the best reading experience possible! However, you can also go in blindly. I mean, nobody's stopping you. Just that you might get confused about some parts.

✎ STORYLINE
Although this might already be obvious, but this fanfiction does contain spoilers for Hunter x Hunter!
The entire story will be a reader self-insert of the Hunter x Hunter (2011) storyline. However, in the first chapter, I do base the story off the first episode of the 1999 version to help build a better background of what's to come later down the story. I may also add bits here and there referring to the 1999 version as well, so you want to watch the 1999 version first before reading, that's also find. It's optional, but not required.
✎ Y/N'S BACKGROUND
Before you read the fanfiction, here's some important information about Y/N's background. There's a lot of parts in this fanfiction that refer to this background, so please keep it in mind! It will help save a lot of confusion while reading.
- Name: F/N Xardos (Prounciation: Zar-doss)
- Age: 11 - 14 (Hunter's Exam Arc - Election Arc)
- Relations: Gon Freecss (Brotherly Best Friend) / Aunt Mito (Guardian) / Xardos Family (Assassin Family)
- Biography:
Y/N originally lived alongside the Xardos Family, an infamous family of assassins. The original plan was to train Y/N to become capable of inheriting the Xardos heir, but after 9 years of enduring harsh training, she managed to escape the residence. They are still on the hunt for her.

I am currently occupied with a lot of studying at the moment, so there might be times when I get really busy. I'll still try my best to update this fanfiction as much as possible! If I need to take a haitus at any point, I will let you guys know beforehand!

Thank you for taking the time to read over this! The prologue and the first two chapters explain a bit of the Y/N backstory and the process of departing Whale Island to go to the Hunter's Exam. These 3 chapters happen before meeting Killua for the first time at the Hunter's Exam.
