"So, you disguise yourself as a waiter, I sneak in and steal whatever valuable shit is in the house, then we attack." Dream said, confident in their plan, it was simple, yet carefully set up.
"Yeah, but when do I know when to attack?"
"I'll give a signal, you'll know what it is."
Techno was still a bit skeptical about Dream's "marvelous" plan, since most of Dream's past plans never really worked out in their favor. Last time they followed Dream's plan, Dream broke his wrist and they had to stay in hiding for months.
But they were a duo, a team. Plus this plan was really simple, nothing difficult so...
"I'll trust you Dream."
Flow and Mane were called in for their first mission. They just graduated a month ago and were already constantly surrounded by paparazzi and the media. The first thing they noticed was that their schedules were immediately filled by the amount of events they needed to tend to.
"We need to guard the Hemlocke Family in a banquet? But the banquet is in their own home, with their own security guards on site. Why do we still need to be posted there?" Mane was genuinely confused, looking directly at the Missions Agent, Loppezz.
"Look I don't know why Jomato wanted action heroes to be posted in a party. He's a weird man with even weirder principles so just deal with it."
So, now here they are, on both sides of the family as they talk to each other.
The party was in full swing. People laughing and chatting, others dancing to the beautiful music.
Flow has got to say, it's nice. Some people who were attending were other heroes, probably because the Hemlockes sponsor half of the heroes in HACC.
"Hey there! You're the guard on duty, Flowtives, correct?" A voice called out to him, he turns to see Leow0ok, a third year technology hero, his agency, BAT, is known for being one of the best in the entire country.
"Yes, that's correct."
"Is it true? You're from the underground?" Leo asks eagerly, everyone in HACC and UU Heroics knew he was from the underground after HACC found out that he had no solid living place in his application form. Even though the public doesn't know, it was still weird that people knew who he was, because he felt like a traitor to the underground for being a hero. Thats what Kalani looked like when she found out
"Uh-- yeah it is..."
"Y'know, I always wanted to know what it was like there. What is it like there?"
"You... don't want to know, seriously you don't."
"Sure."
Leo left and Flow felt like crying, he remembered what it was like in the underground, having to steal everyday for food and water, having to look in the trash bin to see if anything could keep Kalani warm at night, having to constantly wear a gas mask because of the Grey, always having to watch your back or stay in hiding. It was painful, but he needed to stay strong, he couldn't cry now, he is a hero. He should be the one saving others, not the other way around. He should stay strong. No matter what.
Dream climbed up a wall and entered through a window. He looked around and brought out his watch, which showed a layout of the house.
Dream smirked as he walked around like he owned the place and stopped at a large, dark oak door.
'This should be the office.'
Dream said to himself, he needed to hurry, Techno was in the ballroom. Probably already annoyed by the people around him, but his disguise wouldn't last long. Security were bound to see the knocked up guy they left in the garden house in order to get Techno's costume.
Dream cautiously entered the office, looking around before daring to enter. He searched the entire place and found some expensive looking jewelry that could cost them a fortune.
"Um, hello?" A voice called out, Dream looks up to see Zam Hemlocke, he snuck out of the banquet, wanting peace and quiet before entering his father's office.
"Don't move." Dream held up a gun and aimed it at the boy's face. Zam froze, putting his hands in the air.
"L-look, I won't tell anyone about this, j-just put the gun down."
"Why would I trust a privileged bitch like you, huh? Last time I checked, people like you don't care about us freaks." Dream snarled, he needed to pick up the pace if they needed the plan to work. Then Dream thought of something, he grabbed his comms, still aiming at Zam.
"Techno, I have my gun aimed at a kid, I'm going into the ballroom with him."
"Copy that."
Dream grabbed Zam's collar and dragged him all the way to the party.
"Hey everyone! You see who I have here?!"
"Zam!" Izzy called out.
"Let him go!" Pyro yelled.
"I will... soon."
"If you didn't know bud, you're in a room full of heroes. We could easily beat you." Leo was confident that they could defeat him, that's when Dream realized they didn't know him or that his partner in crime was in the same room.
"Who do you think I am huh? Some random nobody? Well let me tell you, how dangerous I really am. Techno?"
"Right here." Techno took his gun out and started shooting, Dream pushed Zam to the ground, grabbing another gun from his pocket, he pointed one at Zam and the other joined Techno in his shooting spree.
Leo ran towards Techno and kicked him in the stomach, pushing him back. Techno punched Leo, grabbed his leg and threw him to the ground, keeping his foot on Leo's arm as others started to run out only to be shot by Dream.
"The amazing hero, Leow0ok. I really thought you were strong, I suppose that's false news." Techno taunted.
"You-- you're a monster."
"So are you, cowards."
"You vile villains. Why do you even do this? Are you doing this for fun?"
Techno thought back to his sister, laughing and alive...
"You dumb pricks have no idea what it's like to be ignored. You--"
Before Techno could even finish his sentence, Flow punches him at his side. Techno steps back, clutching his now bruised side.
Mane picks Leo up and the trio starts running away. "Why you little--"
Techno grabs his dagger and throws it at Mane, piercing his thigh. A pained scream was let out by the lion hybrid as he falls down.
Leo checks on Mane and Flow grabs his sword. Techno knows the kid isn't going to beat him, so he charges forward, slicing his forearm. Then he was met with a kick from the back, two mysterious people with masks had entered the room, charging at the villains.
"Dream, look out!" Dream nearly dodges a hit at his head, he looks back and sees his hostage running away.
"Hey! Get back here!" Dream yelled but was pushed down by the masked person. Dream fights for as long as he can and soon was able to push the person away, he grabbed Techno and the two run out together.
"Who... are you two?" Flow asks
One of the masked people looks at Flow and responds, "We... just decided to come help." The person who answered him had a voice changer, so he didn't know who it was.
"Thank you... for your help." Flow thanks them as they quietly leave the room.
Zam runs out of there as fast as he can. He keeps looking around for his siblings or anyone else besides the two villains. Then he bumps into someone. "Oh! I'm so sorry." Zam looks up to see the same person who took him with his accomplice.
"You brat." Dream yanks his arm as Zam tries to pull away.
"Let. Me. Go!" Zam screamed.
"Hey! Stop hurting my friend!"
Zam looks to his right and sees Pangi, fists clenched and his eyes full of rage.
"Pangi? What are you doing here?"
"Go away kid! This is private business." Techno snarled.
"Let him go first!" Pangi lunges forward and starts attacking them, since Pangi is a hybrid, he is a lot stronger than he looks.
Pangi punches Dream in the face and gets his shoulder cut by Techno. He fights back with a kick, sending him back.
Their fighting continued until the police showed up. Sirens blaring through the night.
"Shit, Dream, we need to go!"
As the two villains run away once more, Zam rushed to Pangi. "Oh my Ish! Pangi are you insane?! Why did you fight them?!"
"They were hurting you, I just wanted to keep you safe."
Zam blushes at Pangi's words and keeps his mouth shut as paramedics rushed in to help.
Overall, 6 people died in the process with several injured. Lettuce and Loppezz are standing in Jamato's office with Lettuce looking furious.
"Dad. I'm telling you, you need to search for the villains who attacked the Hemlocke Estate. Or atleast tell people to be careful!
"No Lettuce. That will be a waste of materials, and people will be careful once they watch the news."
"But--"
"No buts. Loppezz report this in the system and Lettuce, go home, it's getting late."
"Fine." Lettuce and Loppezz turn and left the office, leaving Jomato alone.
'I will protect you from the world, Lettuce, that is a promise.'
Kalani, Jaden, Ivory, Ace and Serapter are on top of a building, looking down at Emberton. Ivory and Serapter showed the three of them of what a vigilante should look like at the Hemlocke Manor.
"Ivory, Serapter, why did you save the heroes? I thought vigilantes were enemies with them?" Kalani asked, looking at her trainers, she decided to make a vigilante group with her friends, Ivory and Serapter just wanted to show them how.
"Vigilantes are only enemies with some heroes, think of vigilantes as the balance of the hero and villain world. Since they are the balance, they can be allies with heroes, villains, other vigilantes and common people." Ivory explained.
"Oh, that makes sense." Jaden said.
"Exactly, now let's head back home, you three still have training with Rejoice tomorrow." Serapter added.
The five of them started to head back home. And Kalani wondered...
'Who were those heroes they helped?'
